50 pages of the stuff in the "bugs" forum alone.

Added at 8:00 a.m. - seems to be better now.

I can't find where to see which images have sold.

In spite of starting my port several years ago, I have completely neglected it until recently, so I consider myself a 100% newbie.  Only today did I find that I have actually had a couple of sales. I can see how many and for how much, but where do I find which images?

Sorry if this has an obvious answer. Mr. Obvious is not available to me right now, though, so I came here :)

I didn't realize it was an option.  I assumed I wouldn't be able to submit if I didn't select a location.  But that's why I'm here today - to see if I'm the only one who doesn't like this "feature".

Good to know I can leave that alone. Next time I upload, I will disregard.

« on: September 21, 2015, 06:41 »
I figured it out....the email address that I had on file was not the same as the one I was putting in interview. I updated that and it all went through.

Thanks for the input!

Try different browsers....I was on a Mac and had trouble with that too....but changing browsers worked for me.

I am trying to complete the tax interview, but on the last page, the W-9 submit button is not lit for me to be able to submit.

Any thoughts?

Thanks - but that didn't work either. I've tried it on IE and Chrome.

Agree with cobalt.

Also, avoid harsh shadows.

Do some research on the site first - look up similar images to the ones you are going to submit and see if your images match the quality of the "most popular" that comes up.  (Note: I wouldn't pay much attention to more than - say - 100 or so of the highest ranked most popular, as shutterstock pushes newer images in that sort algorithm. In my case, within my own gallery, my top 100 most popular images are images that are actually selling, then my newest come up. Images that haven't sold sorted ahead of older images that HAVE sold.  I assume the site wide most popular search yields similar results.)

Be your own harshest critic. And once the forums are up and running again, post to the critique forum there to get some honest feedback about whether your images might be up to shutterstock standards.

This was a scheduled maintenance thing.  They announced it a week or so back - maybe longer.  They are supposed to be down all this week.

We'll see what the "new and improved" forum will be like.

Shutterstock.com / Re: sudden increase of $0.38 SODs
« on: June 28, 2015, 07:26 »
Those FB SOD's seem to have vanished just as quickly as they arrived :-(

It never happened.

Mine are still there.  Just haven't been any more since Friday.  Did anyone seriously think that was gonna last forever?  Pretty sure they were catching up on a reporting backlog.

I certainly didn't think so!

Mine started yesterday. Nothing like the numbers that are being reported here, but a definite change. From the very very rare SOD to 5 yesterday (4 of the same image) and 6 today (5 of the same image that got 4 yesterday).

Sure wish ss would chime in on this one.

I am suspicious this will not last.

123RF / Is 123 always buggy?
« on: June 23, 2015, 07:01 »
I've recently begun to try to build my galleries across various sites, but I seem to be running into problems here and elsewhere. I want to be productive with my time, so if this site is notoriously buggy, maybe I won't bother.

Bugs include: Accepted images not showing in my portfolio - finally got a reply to a support ticket that the missing images will be "re-batched" and will show up in a few days. Also, just tried to upload another few and after waiting for the upload for about 10 minutes, I got a screen that says I don't have any images q'd.

Do I have bad timing and have been trying to do this when they are having problems? Or, is it just a horrendously buggy site?

Does anyone actually sell anything there, or is it just a showme site with contests?

123RF / How long before images show up?
« on: June 06, 2015, 07:46 »
I'm trying to build my ports at various sites, so I'm not really familiar with the flow here. How long do reviews take and how long before they show up in your port?

I submitted a few on 5/30. I discovered by accident that they got accepted, but when I open my port, they aren't there.

Thanks in advance.

The sales side may have been up during all this,

Sales side has issues also.

But glad it seems to be corrected - glad the forum search is working - can't say yes or no if this affected sales....average day ultimately.

I'm hoping, buyers who couldn't download files today will do that tomorrow.

I guess that might depend upon if it's a new account or not. If I was a regular buyer at shutterstock, I'd probably come back the next day. If this is the first time I'm trying to shop, I would move on and not come back.

69
I just got home for a late lunch - I see not much has changed. Hopefully that will explain why I am showing zero sales for today and that it will all catch up later. I don't think so, though, because buyers are having trouble, too.

70
About a half hour ago - maybe more, I messaged them via Facebook. They replied they are aware and are working on it.

71
Yeah.....down again.

Some comments coming in at isitdownrightnow, even though that's reporting it's up, complaints are showing up there. Hope it's not buyers.

73
Looks like it's still buggy, though. Forums won't come up. Catalog manager won't come up.

74
I just got in - zero sales so far today.

75
Correction: www.shutterstock.com is up and useable, according to isitdownrightnow, but www.submit.shutterstock.com is not.
