Achilles did respond & was helpful. I need to get it done even though I removed the images in question. That's fine.. I just want this over with.

I am an engineer and I do some very basic programming when needed (we have a staff for serious programming).  I've seen things go wrong when someone uses an old source code file, not the latest, for editing, but I guess serious programmers have solved this by now.  And in my own very little programs, I NEVER made it available before testing everything again (not only changes).

Exactly!  I am certain that if the programming error resulted in them paying out unearned royalties to contributors it would be corrected in a heartbeat.

Absolutely... because someone somewhere is paid to notice these accounting issues. Just like somebody had to of noticed something like this occuring. This is a major error even if it is a low earning sub site (division) >:(

That was my great morning surprise! First I thought fraud but then I read my email which said they realized they did not like any of the model releases associated with my approved images.

Hello,

Please be herewith notified that we have suspended your account.

Following a routine review, we discovered that all MR documents are generated on computer
and some even have the name of the agency erased. The signatures are also added digitally.

We strongly request you to replace the Model releases. Once you have correct MRs
uploaded, please send us the matching link of the ones that need replaced and of correct
replacement. Also, please e-mail us photos of each of your models holding the MR and
his/her ID.

~~~
I have under 10 low earning images with MR's there & opted to simply delete them instead of rounding up the family (which is of course who I utilize for photos) for a group MR party. But the problem is now that my account is still frozen and none of my other images are available for download and I can't get an email response from the individual who noticed this problem. I did call DT and was told nobody here can help and that someone should email me sometime "soon".
I have only a little bit of patience when it comes to all of my images being taken off the market because of a problem with abt 10-15 of over 500 images. I do have some faith that this will be resolved soon and YES, I do realize this is my fault for somehow missing the fact the DT wants something different... I do use my own generic MRs and have no problems at all other sites.
Anyone else run into this type of scenario?? Is this my punishment if you will... turning off my entire account like this?
Nobody knows how FT search is working now. One thing is sure: it dones not put older images first.
Thanks Peter...so basically I'm in the same situation as many others!  8)
 Hi everyone,
This bug was only discovered last week. Unfortnately the developer tasked with this aspect of development was out all last week. He is back now. This is a high priority for us, and he is in the process of identifying the problem.
I'll continue to provide updates when I hear more. I am on top of this.
Thanks
Steve
Any place I can EASILY digest FT's ranking system? I'm at: Overall rank 11233
7 days rank 5104
Woo-hoo and it's taken me almost a year to get that high. FT absolutely ranks last for me... I've gotten 103 files accepted there and have earned LESS than my 24 files accepted at IS. That is embarrassing  :-[
I do well at all the others (by my definition) but I'm rock bottom at FT, I would quit but I don't want to give up what I do have towards that first payout.
Is it the ranking system?? Does it just take time for your account to age before your images come up in a search?? That has nothing to do with acceptance issues but does it effect your view/downloads??
Thanks for any comments!
No signifigant sales... loads of StockXpert subs    :-\
This is another distasteful situation which potentially wouldn't haven't been brought out for quite a while if it had not been for this thread. So thank you to lisafx :-*
It may be too soon but has anybody noticed Photos.com sales logged yet? Current or past dated?
« on: October 08, 2008, 12:51 »
I will never understand an image "return". DVDs, music CD's... whatever... they are unable to be returned because common sense tells you how easy it is to steal & return. How obvious is it that image should fall under the same category? Only exception to the rule: an obvious double click of the same image or something extremely similair.
I wish DT the best in attempting to control this potential monster!
Same here... Photos.com sales ended 9/30, JIU's I've had this month.  I joined StockXpert in June, did AWESOME & loved everything, but as soon as the whole Photos.com mess happened sales have just bottomed out. I'm seriously considering bailing out once I hit my next payout... of course that may take a while :) Yes, I know I don't have a golden portfolio yet but why such a bottom out? Does StockXpert push it's newbies, have customers lost faith in JI all together?? It's the constant, "what do I not know" that makes me concerned here now.
« on: September 17, 2008, 13:05 »
For me as soon as the Photos.com mess started sales stopped. StockXpert was excellent "at first" then very little. Lately I've rec'd mostly sub's including Photos.com. Have all the same issues as all other posts, no image views until about a week or two after uploading. I had images accepted after I noticed the keywords were (accidentally) completely wrong. Meaning an image of a prescription drug was mislabeled haircut but it was still accepted.
Thanks...
My response back from Fotolia was "We do not understand your question"
Exactly why I focus on other companies, although I know some people SOMEWHERE actually function somehow with these guys  :-\
Adobe Stock / Odd Fotolia Email??
« on: August 08, 2008, 10:12 »
Okay, I've been with Fotolia for about 6 months now and have to admit I no longer focus on them (meaning no new uploads) but today I received an email which sounds like I just submitted my new account yesterday?
I sent an email to support but that doesn't usually help me. Does this look familair to anyone? I'm not super stressed about it but it is odd?
Thanks!
Kellie
My opinion.. buyer finds an image they like.. buyer wants it & will use whichever method is available to purchase said image. No subs available on that specific image means they purchase ppd.
Steve can you or another rep of StockXpert address Bobby Deal's questions? His points are valid & well put but, unless I have missed one, I've yet to see you publicly address his issues. While other contributors simple questions have been answered quickly.
Opt-out is intact, which is the most important thing here, at least to me. What is a bit worrying is their attitude towards ELs. They seem to be of the opinion that ELs are something out of the ordinary that just happens to a special few. As has been mentioned earlier on this thread, it doesn't need to be like that, and it's their responsibility to fix it through better marketing of that option.
Agree re: EL language. Can't imagine why that wouldn't be promoted more.
