Did anyone else also understand the undertone of "don't expect this everytime". As in more is to come? Still need to read thru everything under the microscope. At least the opt out option is there.

I'm curious - has anyone else been contacted directly by StockXpert with apologies?
I did. I was on the call too and I exchanged several emails over the week-end with Paddy to discuss possible changes on the photos.com EULA.
They realized they made a mistake and they are working on fixing it before the official announcement tomorrow.
cphoto: Any possible clue as to what time tmo we should expect the clarification or announcement on Monday? Thanks...

There could be a mid solution, if they offer an opt-out/in on a per photo base.
I'm not a great photographer, but, like everybody here, I can tell that my *worst* photos are better than most of Photos.com's.
So on a per photo base, I would opt-in with *less* quality, and it would still improve Photos.com collection and in the same time give some more valu to my older photos.
I would agree with this... although it would a cumbersome job I would like the option per image. This yes or no/all or nothing stinks! I also for one was very happy to see MaxFX chime in over on StockXpert forum! I'd hate to leave StockXpert but can't afford not to if this goes through. I may be a small ant in this big hill but if a lot of the ants chime in that would be a big empty hole.

I'm not a large contributor with BS but I would contact them if after 6 days I couldn't find my images. Review times are consistently 1 week or more there for me

It seems that istock don't take many PS illustrations. They will occasionally take scans of drawings/paintings etc, and well done compositing of photos (with random rejections so I don't bother) but illustrations done in photoshop and often in Painter and other raster based programs just are not acceptable to them. They will take very similar stuff done in 3D programs though for some reason.
It's one of the "they make the rules, if you want to submit to them, learn them" things that submitting to istock without raising your bloodpressure too far involves. If you start agonising too much about how unfair and arbitrary all the different hoops that the different sites make you jump through then you could easily go mad.
Thank you... very true --deep breaths---deep breaths & move on.

You make great illustrations ChassingMoment. I really like your planets and space environments. Good luck!
Thanks! Those planets were all done in photoshop, unfortunately IS is not too fond of rasters. I had one sneaked into IS due to an exchange with an inspector.
Well, if anybody is curious to see what the IS community says, here's a link to the IS forum I just posted along with small versions of my vectors : http://www.istockphoto.com/forum_messages.php?threadid=72418&page=1
let me know if you are curious to see bigger versions, I also have all these files accepted on SS
I was beginning to think iS had a different test I was missing for illustrations created in PS. I haven't been able to get 1 PS illustration thru there, & they are my huge sellers everywhere else! I am mostly told my illustrations are over ps'd. How did I accomplish that one? Over PS'd an illustration? Suggestions are always appreciated

I had the same problem at Fotolia. I have the lowest sales there but when I logged in I found my earnings down to almost zero. I emailed & was told basically all's well, session closed. I opened a new "session" and responded to which I was then told an image was essentially returned, "end of session". It took several tries & new "sessions before they credited most of my missing earnings back. What is this "image return" policy there?? Thanks! Kellie

I find myself taking breaks from Fotolia because sales are so slow, exceptance rates are hit & miss so I get frustrated & walk away for a while. I consider myself in between newbie & almost there but sales at DT are much more promising to me.
