iStockPhoto.com / Re: IS Keywording on My Images
« on: January 19, 2009, 17:32 »
Yep, I see your images when I do a search.

FWIW though, I don't think you quite "get" how to keyword properly at IS - terms like "Isolated Football" and "American Football Isolated Black" won't ever be used. You've made a studio shot of a single piece of sports equipment on a black background, and most of the keywords you need are in that last statement. Stretching things to include words like "autumn", "superbowl", and "playoffs" won't lead to increased exposure.

Thanks for your input... does it show? Nope, I'm not getting it! I am not trying to keyword spam but when I had the keywords individually I didn't get results either.

Thanks again for checking I'm going to have to do a search their and study up on the workings of keywords for them.

iStockPhoto.com / IS Keywording on My Images
« on: January 19, 2009, 16:50 »
I have been auditing my images at IS since sales have slipped down to almost zero and found that I can not get my footballs to show up in any searches despite keywording updates. I emailed support & was told they did appear under specifically "american football black background" but I still can't find any them.

Is it my searching or could somebody please check search and see if they are able to get them??  ???

Keywords: american football black background

other keywords apply but bring up too many pages to sort through of course, I have tried other keyword searches but still can't get anything to come up???

Very much appreciated  :D

Jeez... I just clicked on yes, to allow an EL sale and it jumped back up to $6.60.  I need to go take a nap before posting anything else  :-[

Thanks Adelaide!

Adobe Stock / EL earnings drop?
« on: January 18, 2009, 16:41 »
I have been trying to beef myself up at FT and was uploading today and noticed my EL potential earnings for that image would be $3.30?

Yes, I am white level still but I haven't been able to find anything about the earnings dropping?

Is this old news? :-\

I sent e-mail to IS's compliance enforcement so they can take a look. I have no idea why someone would make a YouTube video to point out this theft - wouldn't it be simpler to just contact IS?

Odd.. but maybe they did contact IS and want to spread the word even though?

I had all my MRs rejected after they were accepted AND multiple images were accepted for this reason (along with the fact that I had completed them electronically) and my account was frozen until fixed. The bottom line is that is DT's rule (as it was explained to me) even if we don't agree with it. I am the photog for my kids, my hubby is the parent and a 3rd person is the witness. You may have your MR's approved right now with some discrepancies but ... don't think that you won't wake up one day to a frozen account and have to replace every single release!

Done! Great shot that will keep me up at night  :D

Why is it so often!?
And always some sells come after complaints here on the forum...

I wonder myself... ???

I think we all wonder, it is very frustrating. Something is not working & we have to watch our $ there constantly anymore.

I had 2 JIU sales update this morning as well but that is it. Still no response from StockXpert. Yes, I've had a ppd sale early on in Jan. Nothing else...

Congrats to BS! They are do good for me & are only getting better <<just like me, mu-hahaha!>> Sad to see 123 go down though. They are better than Fotolia or IS for me.

Hi Steve & thanks for posting here about this. I never did hear back from support about this and earlier today (before reading this update) I emailed them again as this problem is still going on for me as well. Very anxious for the resolution.

I did not choose a thread title to emphasize what was really relevant: does 123RF compress our images?

Regards,
Adelaide

Adelaide, have you found the answer to your question yet?

123RF / Re: slow reviews
« on: December 16, 2008, 10:24 »
I have submitted about 7 small batches of 4-8 images so far this month, and until yesterday none were inspected.  Yesterday, they went through and reviewed all than had model releases (about 6 or so), which were scattered throughout the various batches.  The rest all remain as pending.  Kind of weird.

Selective reviewing, huh? Must be a backlog & they are picking & choosing ones they want more... my guess. Mine are still waiting  :-X

Was just looking to see if anyone has this problem. I have some pending review from Thursday 12/11... not long enough to complain but longer than normal. Hopefully will clear up this week.

I did get one from Photos.com already, would welcome one from JIU as well  :D

Hmmm.. I didn't get an email like that and I do save all of StockXpert's anymore. I am now getting daily sub downloads. Would love to see it though if you still have it.

Thanks Lisa!

No, I haven't heard back from anybody :'( I am glad to hear others are not having this problem though.

74
Better to be safe I suppose... will go organize keywords anyway.

75
that was half year ago. Today keyword order at FT is not important anymore. Tested.

What?? I just stumbled onto that issue, had no idea keywords were to be in specific order at FT and now it's meaningless?? No wonder they are my bottom earner, a day late & $1 short!

Yesterday I started cleaning all of my keywords up there hoping for some improvement...back to the drawing board!
