I calculated my earnings/dl for 2009 (so far) and it's 1.24$
All time (from 2005) is 0.83$
I have no people in my portfolio (except non-released body parts)

And it is not even close to traditional stock rejections yet.
If the rejection rates are going up, I think the submitters shouldn't be asked to keyword and categorize images. That's something we should demand. I have a few "trad" agencies that allow you to keyword AFTER image is accepted, that's not as bad as on micro sites.

I just got a $0.15 XSmall sale. I didn't know sales could be this low, is this old credits or what?

Tripod is not only for removing camera shake. It's also very useful when composing an image. For example best still lifes are created by using a camera on tripod, that allows photographer to make small adjustments: moving/changing objects and moving the camera or lights just a tiny bit. With hand held camera great still lifes are somewhat depending on luck. Photographer should always use tripod when there isn't any reason not to use it (no, laziness isn't a valid reason here

If badly lit shots aren't the way to do these tests then what is? Surely you don't flick the camera up to ISO 25600 in broad daylight? If you
At least a tripod and mirror lock-up should be used: it's impossible to judge amount of detail and noise filtering if the images aren't sharp. The test should also be done with correct color balance (if you don't intend to shoot yellow pictures all the time)

Oh I'm starting to wish they would move my images over as soon as possible, some extra $$$ wouldn't hurt...

My guess is that last few monts many advertising/web etc projects were put to a halt. But in march everybody realised that the end of the world didn't come after all and started buying images again.

What an amazing month! I was not expecting to see any BME's, but I had several! I earned $300 more from "big five" this month than I did my previous BME (This is with a portfolio of about 1200 images)
IS 35% BME FT 22% BME SS 19% DT 18% BME SX 6%
+some from Crestock, Bigstockphoto, 123rf, Scanstockphoto and such
Very dissapointed with SX, but still it was a bit better than last month.

Ring flash was most likely designed for scientific use where an easy setup for macro light was needed. That said, ring flash does not make miracles and turn macro images great, it's just a tool that produces certain kind of light. The light from ring flash looks most of the times like what it is, a ring flash. Better investment would be a extension cord for speedlight and perhaps different diffusors. Something like this would be very versatile http://www.pbase.com/leonzwrx/image/91859757Canon 100/2.8 macro is quite nice for its price. It's quite sharp. Of course colors are a bit off and bokeh (at "normal" distances) can sometimes look not-so-good. But hey, it's not L glass...

I think most RF licences is one licence for each "seat". Maybe the brochure and website were designed by two different persons in the same organization, that would propably require two different licences.

Has there beem a change in best match because my sales are very much down?

If your imagery does not get licenced, it is either because they don't need it, or can not find it.
Not neccessarily. Don't dorget the growing over-supply of stock images and the economic situation. This is all about (falling) RPI in the whole industry and there's nothing that can be done (You can fight it a bit with better images and more streamlined productio/workflow but there comes limits to that too)

This is my graph jan07 to feb09 February turned better than I had feared. I'm approximately on last years levels in earnings, but my portfolio is about 30 to 40% bigger. The trends I can see here are: * Fotolia is growing strongly * StockXpert is dying * iStockphoto is unsteady * Dreamstime is growing at same pace as my portfolio

My StockXpert shales have gone trough the floor this month. IS, SS, DT and FT gives me over three times more revenue.

It's not as good as you think. Check with DXO, they have rated digital sensors, and digital backs are very much average.
Nah... the DxO rating doesn't have anything to do with resolving power (digital backs wins 35 SLR's hands down). DxO is ony for color/dynamics/noise and the dynamics/noise doesn't have much relevance in studio work.

It can take a long time for some sales to clear, especially when it's a distributor sale. A Couple of days ago I had a sale from august 2008 cleared. That was a distributor sale in Greece. I just got accepted onto alamy woooooooooooo what are the sales like there? ive heard not that often if ever
It all depends how good/needed your images are and how accurate your keywords are. Remember, this is not microstock, keyword spammers get punished by Alamy Rank.

The image was rejected for the following reason(s):
* Composition * Over / Underexposed
The image was rejected for the following reason(s):
* Composition
Both have blown-out hilights (you should shoot night images at dusk, not when it's completely dark) and the second one has a tilted horizon.

I think the fastest way to remove the content would be to contact rapidshare.
The main reason agencies aren't protecting our properties is because there isn't real money to be made: you could sue heroturko guys for millions, but why - they wouldn's have any money...

Does this mean we have to upload (again) our stuff to Veer, or do they move all the snapvillage stuff automatically to Veer?

One large red apple photographed on a nearly white background. An apple a day keeps the doctor away. On White background. One bright red apple with water droplets. Lots of copy space.
I could do this a hundred more times. Your description, title and key words are ALL part of the search. Use it or loose it. Your sales and views depend on your action at this point.
I don't see why my apple should turn up when searching for "doctor", "space" or "copy"... A large part of my images have 7 or more description words, but it still annoys me every time when I have to find up more, I just wish they would loose the 7 words minimum, who wants to write more could still do so. Dreamstimes 10 keyword minimum is also bugging me, but not very often. Let's again look at the apple on white: apple, fruit, food, isolated, red. That's only 5. Then I'd propably add 3 more like: cutout, nobody, ripe... Then still 2 more is needed...

I just have to tell here how I hate the 7 words minimum in description. Many of my files have only a few words in description, and bigstockphoto makes me write new ones.
Let's say the original description was "Apple". Who does it benefit that I write "Red ripe nice and shiny apple fruit". That sounds almost like gibberish, but hey - it's seven words!
I wish they would just dump the minimum length in description, it just doesn't make sense...

I have a feeling that they would only approve 499 of my images...
