Just one tiny nitpick, on downloaded_stats.php, the images are sorted by image number, oldest first, would it be possible to have them sort by different columns? The most handy I can think of are by last download descending and image number descending, though it would be nice to be able to click any of the headers and have the list sort by that.

They have a pretty attractive package for designers who need short term or project by project images at a reasonable price for the designers. It pays out more money for the same license that they currently get via the standard subscription that you receive .36 for. So you want even more than 25%, even though it is three times what you would normally get for the same license terms?
Yeah, SS takes a bigger cut on those, but they also have to pay for a whole new advertising campaign for it, pay the programmers who probably had to make some pretty severe code changes to allow multiple subscriptions on the same account, most likely add server hardware to manage a more complicated system, etc. I suppose ideally they would pay the same percentages, but at the most basic level you are receiving more money for licensing the same photo under the same restrictions as you would have if they bought one of the original packages. And possibly having more sales, as this should attract a tier of designers who didn't need 25 a day, but might have needed ten or fifteen for a specific project this week.

I have 0 sales there, but for some reason I love FP and I won't stop uploading there.
Yeah, its not a huge seller for me either, one or two a month on average, but its so easy to process photos into their queue now with their batch editor that I can't justify *not* uploading there. Practically no time commitment on my part, so nothing to lose.

Yeah, this should be interesting, they've already updated their stats page. I could see this being popular with smaller design firms, especially since you can run multiple subscription programs at once now. That might mean buying an on demand subscription for a single project as a way to set a specific cost for their customer.

My greatest concern was not being able to opt out, in that regards, excellent news!

Just a footnote on this thread, in the other thread there was a copy of the email StockXpert sent out. Much of the uproar was over losing the ability to opt of the new programs, and they have now decided that they will continue to allow us to opt out. See more here: http://www.microstockgroup.com/index.php?topic=5258.msg57622(about 3/4th page down)

Support replied, looks like they didn't like that I blanked out sensitive information in the copy of my drivers license that I had uploaded.
Is there a fast way to delete your portfolio on Fotolia? Or do I need to go through one at a time?

A lot of these sites seem to forget that this is a partnership, on a large scale from the agency perspective, but a partnership none the less. We are not your customers, you are our distributors.
Most designers are well aware that we distribute through multiple agencies. The inclusion of what many of our other distributors consider extended rights in the basic photos.com license could damage our sales through those other channels. We are being forced to choose all or nothing in terms of extended rights and subscriptions, and to assume the entire risk ourselves. Worse than nothing, as we would additionally have to give up Stockxpert as a distribution channel.
I will freely admit that I am only recently a supplier to StockXpert, but that only makes it easier for me to shrug my shoulders and walk away. I know many here benefit greatly from the site and have a much larger dilemma to face.

You could apply for exclusivity I'm sure the uploads/week thing will relax as the queue comes down, so the extra uploads might help eventually.

I've generally avoided sites that allow web template usage or one-off product usage (one of the main reason I don't license through Bigstock). Now StockXpert is removing the ability to opt out of extended licenses, which I had previously avoided due to the web template and product extended licenses.
At this point I'm probably going to remove my portfolio from StockXpert. I've always viewed web template usage as damaging to the web designers that comprise a large portion of microstock customers. On the product front, I generally dislike the idea of my photos on poor quality products most of these online stores sell.
Does anyone feel the same? Does anyone have any good arguments in support of template and product licensing? Are the potential returns from StockXpert's new direction with photos.com worth letting my standards slide with just that one site? If so, would BigStock be worth taking another look at?
