My experience with moneybookers has been nothing but great. I had payments from them on few bank accounts and I never had a problem and always on time. Transfer fee is somewhere about 2$ for any amount of money you withdraw , and I find that acceptable , especially after the experiance with check payments when the bank was robbing me month after month , verification pending was few months etc.
They have a 3 month transfer limit of amount of money that can circulate on your account and you can rise it by sending them some privat information they require.
Only reason I would quit using moneybookers (if thing say like this) is if I ever start earning more and go over their limits , but for now I can only wish that I find myself in such sweet problems.
Abuot paypal , well I thin its easier to go internet shopping with them cause they are accepted almost everywhere , but they work as one way train in my country (you cant withdraw founds) so I dont use them and cant say nothing about them.

Well the question would be do you own any decent lens . If not , and the price of 40D is somewhere around your budget , then go for the 400D and you will have some cash to buy at least a half decent lens. If you buy 40D and use it with 18-55 lens, well you are not going far from many point and shoot cameras with photo quality.
I don't know what subjects you want to shoot but you can start with 70-200 F4 L , the cheapest L lens but it sure beats lots of other L lenses that cost few times more. But its a zoom lens ,so maybe it doesn't suite your needs.
Anyway , I would go for quality glass in front of cheaper camera , then spending all the budget on camera with so many options , and than shoot with crappy glass.

I see that stockxpert takes only 2 days.
Are they still rejecting like crazy or did they come to their senses?
I was accepted at StockXpert and I have ~300 to upload so I want them to be accepted:)
I had a batch of 30 , and almost all approved few days ago maybe one or two rejected , I'm ready to bet that most of them would be rejected 2-3 weeks ago , so I think maybe I should upload more , or make another test with a small batch and than start uploading more if that goes well.

I have one of those cheap air pumps and it does the trick every time. A friend had something sticky on his sensor few times and the air pump couldn't blow it away , so we bought cleaning swabs and it is a 2 minutes job to clean that. Just make sure you lock the mirror and that your battery is full.
Even if you are using swabs or something similar its recommended to use air pump first , just in case there is something beside the dust ( sand for example) on the sensor that could scratch it.
Find the best position it the house , a room with less dust in the air possible , without carpets etc , bathroom is most often a best place to do it , and NEVER experiment with home made equipment or liquids on your sensor.
Maybe the thing from the start of the topic works , (even if i don't realize how) but I would never try that on my camera.

Ha ha , you are talking abut inflation , well its a bit out of bounds but if someone wants to here an interesting story.
I remember when I was kid in ex YU , somewhere from mid to late 80-ties. The inflation was so big the the money was loosing value every day. Every year they were printing new bills , or better to say same bills but they were adding zeros to them. So what it used to be 100 dinars in the beginning of the year it ended the year like 10 000 or something like that.
The good thing , people who were taking long time bank loans , had to return 10 times smaller amount at the end of the year , and that stupidity was so huge , that if you ,lets say took a loan to buy a house , after 3-4 years the amount of money you had to return was amount you would need to buy an ice-cream or two.
I remember i needed more than 10000000 to go and play few pinball or a pool games at that time, and two years back I could buy a car for that amount.
Sorry again if nobody cares but I just thought it was a interesting story.

Thats something its bothering me for long time , I get "We found this file over filtered from its original appearance/quality" all the time.
I had images rejected with almost no post processing rejected , all BW photos rejected , etc ... for that same reason
I can understand they want unprocessed photos and I'm OK with that , but than when I take a random look at most popular photos and I see lots of processed photos , artificial skies , unreal sunsets , cross processed photos, artificial motion blurs , burned edges , colors pushed over the edge, etc.
Am I missing something ?

Photosig has "taught" me to spend a lot of time post processing for contrast, saturation and sharpness that isn't necessary for stock. From what you and others have said the less processing the better when doing stock photography.
I have a personal opinion that its not the truth. Just looking at top sellers at any site you will notice that post processing is important part of the game.

You are doing great job , I watched some of your tutorials and I think there are more than just useful for not only beginners but also for intermediate users , especially cause you use some useful shortcuts , and your methods can save a lots of time to someone.
Wall I would just like to ad two more things , a question for you and and an one personal observation.
First I'm just curious why did you give up stock ?
And a second one , well did you ever consider to start singing , man , you got a great voice , you should sing blues . I used to play in a blues rock band and I have to say that I only wish we had a singer with your voice.
Peace

Its possible to create HDR by changing exposure at raw file , it will lead you to a visually nice result , but with lots of noise and if you need the image for stock it will most probably be rejected at most of sites. The amount of noise at least from my experience is too much for noise reduction to handle and the photo will have the plastic (lack of details) look. Even noise reduction with masking wont help much.

Maybe you should consider Jobo Giga One , there are two with 40GB and 80GB. I have the small one for a year and itsperfect for me , simple options , not heavy and does the job. I never had a problem with it. I think its probably the cheapest one out there.
If you need one with big LCD to review your photos there is new Giga vu pro.

Duplicate the original layer , brighten your background to what you like , add a layer mask to new layer. Check the OPACITY of your brush and the color you paint with ( black ) and it should be fine.

The only problem I have there is that after the changes the site is almost completely dead for me. This time last month i used to have at least 6-7 sales at day , now I have one sale every 4-5 days , and all of them only from old images , so I stopped uploading for some time.
