The only people that win are the agencies. It take a lot of funding to shoot stock...how many can say they've even broke even. At the end of the day the only people that get rich are the agencies...I can't believe how many people give up their hard work for peanuts.

Yeah, when it comes out.   ::)

Considering they have been talking about releasing v4 since 2006 or 2007, I wouldn't hold my breath.

Do you know of any better software packages for Selling Stock

Dig into the code, particularly the functions.php and htaccess files. Eventually you need to change those underscores to dashes. Google can't read the underscores, so that "big_cat_leopard" will be interpreted as "bigcatleopard" which you don't want to rank for obviously. The dashes tell Google that each is a separate word to be parsed and evaluated.

It's a real PITA and honestly I never got it to work 100%. KTools is outdated, and not very search engine friendly. Their admins should be on their forum teaching customers how to fix this stuff, but instead they just make it a point to tell you that they don't do custom programming. I understand they don't have the time to customize people's websites, but there are serious flaws inherent in their software which should be addressed.

Thanks djpadavona...I'll look into that. Let's hope their version 4 is better when it comes out.

This group, is by far the best place to talk about your site and to let people know about it.
Though it probably has relatively few potential buyers.

That's why marketing is really important.

Congrats on your site.  Having done one myself (with outside help), I know what a lot of work went into it.  Looks great :)

Thanks LisFx

"Welcome to DigiStockPix we provide you"

Period "." after Pix and capitalize W.  Keep an eye on spelling and grammar on some of the other pages.

Thanks...didn't spot that.

I've been working full on since just after Xmas to create a website using Ktools. There have been a few issues along the way which have been resolved and I'm sure there will be more. I'm still populating the site which will take some time, but here it is. I won't be doing any customisations as Photostore 4 is not that far I way I think.

Oh man, you're photos are beautiful!   The wild horses are gorgeous (I agree too with Sue and Jsnover.  Same fave here :)).  I've only had a quick look at your others, but some of those Lake District shots are breathtaking.

You're work is just lovely.  Congratulations on some hard work that's clearly paid off.

Thanks Ruby that's really nice.  I'm hoping to make it pay more in the future...time I got off my backside and did something more with my pics  ;D and my video stuff https://www.pond5.com/artist/DavidTyrerPhoto

Lovely images - and my favorite is the same one Liz chose. It has a wonderful sense of the speed of the horses.

Thanks JS...more on my flickr pages if you care to look. http://www.flickr.com/photos/8321586@N07

Thanks Sue  :) It was even better being there

I have only 3 images with Getty and have so far earned about 2000 in sales over the last year. One was a recent sale for 1500.

Was that through the Flickr scheme?

Hi Sue...yes it was through Flickr. They chose 3 for RM and the rest they offered RF but I declined...so I just have the 3 images with them.

Newbie Discussion / Re: how long for Alamy response?

Only recently joined Alamy and I've been quite lucky...the QC is normally done within 24 hours, unless it's a weekend. I now have about 400 images with them.
