STUDY The Less Americans Know about Ukraines Location, the More They Want U.S. to Intervene

http://www.economicpolicyjournal.com/2014/04/study-less-americans-know-about.html

About one in six (16 percent) Americans correctly located Ukraine, clicking somewhere within its borders. Most thought that Ukraine was located somewhere in Europe or Asia, but the median respondent was about 1,800 miles off roughly the distance from Chicago to Los Angeles locating Ukraine somewhere in an area bordered by Portugal on the west, Sudan on the south, Kazakhstan on the east, and Finland on the north...

the further our respondents thought that Ukraine was from its actual location, the more they wanted the U.S. to intervene militarily. Even controlling for a series of demographic characteristics and participants general foreign policy attitudes, we found that the less accurate our participants were, the more they wanted the U.S. to use force, the greater the threat they saw Russia as posing to U.S. interests, and the more they thought that using force would advance U.S. national security interests...

This is main problem or threat from voting population on elections, all around the world,... THEY KNOW NOTHING! I remember how it was in ex. YU during 90ties...  Same story!
Allways want war those people who know nothing, so we need to stop them on some way, because they can vote like we are... That is the biggest mistake of democracy!
Just add a bit of a fake propaganda on this, and you can do what you want with a World, or some country!

SPREAD THE WORD!

So Hiroshima is behind us, so all big wars are ended!

I have some friends in Russia! They are watching completely opposite informations about crisis in Ukraine...
Exactly same informations with opposite roles... So who has right, nobody...?
We have to know that going in the battle for any country (read administration) is the worst option for us as individual... Because we get nothing according the risk we take (only one life, what  means "motherland" without your own life???)...Also,  veterans are always the worst category in every country!
In this global world we have to live all together if we want to keep any progress or standard... Nobody has everything for living standard so we have to act together especially against bureaucracy, they want to live on our account, no matter in which country you live...

P.S.

There is some informations that on first missed Malaysian airplane was some revolutionary electronic chip, on second plane crashed in Ukraine, were several experts for HIV and infective diseases, they travel because some crucial meetings in Asia...
So, that maybe mean nothing, but why there is something what putx bug in the ear...

No! We will face with Civil World War I!

Soon, people will understand that all wars around the planet are because some "class society" who want to live on someone's account without working or creating...
Big administrations also doesn't produce anything for their living, they just sit in offices and do fictive jobs...
They voting for politicians who will keep that condition...
So, whole crisis comes from this facts... To many people in fact, don't do anything, but they receive sallary for nothing...

There is many examples of such revolutions in the past, now it is time for one global revolution...

I am also receiving today some new gray column of "subscription royalties"!

Is it this!?

But their payment is really fast! My demand was yesterday and today money is on Paypal!

For Canstockphoto I am still waiting more than  two weeks, and for FT 3 weeks for now!

Why Alamy should have a higher RPI than SS?
Alamy has almost 47 milions of images, SS almost 38 millions! You think that total monthly payouts (lately) to contributors is higher on Alamy than on SS (Alamy must have plus more than 20% of SS payout to overcome different in size of portfolios between those two agencies, or just to have the same RPI like SS)?
It could be only in case that contributors make much more money on Alamy than on SS in summary... I don't think so! Likely Alamy has far away behind of SS in payouts to contributors...

Or maybe there are some "premium" contributors with +30% of royalty "under the desk"!

Ok! Once time more and never again!
Most of you people, don't have any clue what I want to say, so I have to try once more... Please sorry because of my English language, I hopethis is simple enough to be understandable...
Please forget our debate about size of portfolios, type of images etc, at the first step, please try to look from agency point of view...
It does not matter how large portfolio of a photographer is, from the  point of view of some agency. For them, it is important how big their portfolio is, of our images in total (that's why on the index page is only the total number of images in millions). They are selling over keywords, not over size of our portfolios... So what we want to know, how their marketing is strong.. Will earning per image (RPI) in some period show us how strong is their ability through their marketing to sell our images? Will see...
Will they tell us who much money they can make in some period with all our images (total earnings) or will they say to us their RPI (so then we can calculate totals)? No!
What we can? We can only to estimate those numbers through our portfolios! But how?
All our portfolios are different, by size, type of images etc.
But we all know that our portfolios have both, good and bad pictures, it means that our portfolios are mostly AVERAGE, with a smaller percentage of exceptions of top photographers (but there are also small percentage of the worst photographers , with a minimum threshold of acceptance, so they will drag top photographers in a bowl with all of us.)
So mostly every microstock agency have similar quality of microstock images, more or less, also probably they all mostly have the same images from independent photographers... From my point of view threshold of acceptance is also very similar... Does it mean that more or less, all agencies has average quality of their complete portfolios (with all of ours average portfolios)? Yes!
Where is the different for us then? Different is only in their ability to bring us money among agencies... But can we know how much our average image will bring to us on some agency?
I think that we need to know how much agency can earn for average image so far or in some period (monthly will be quite good)!
So, as I mentioned before, we can not know how much average image can earn on some particular agency, even if we know size of agencies portfolios, but they don't want to tell us how big is payment account for contributor payouts every month...
But if we assume that everything is on average? Then only what we can do is to sum as much more of our portfolios of some agency, sum all our earnings of some agency and to divide those two numbers... What we get? Quite close RPI for that agency, or what agency is paid to contributor in some period per average image... If we sum more our portfolios and earnings that number will be closer to "RPI paid" of some agency!
Differences between "paid RPIs" among agencies will show us which agency is better than the other. Also it will show us changes for some agency through time (from month to month)...
Also on that way I can know if I am an average contributor,or better or worse than others ...
This is very similar what Alamy has in their statistic... Why not just to copy here?

Stocksy / Re: YES! I got accepted to Stocksy...
« on: June 25, 2014, 12:55 »
Please can anyone tell me, what is so good on Stocksy?  I can not find any review of them...

70
So conclusion is that is better to calculate average monthly earnings from the poll (without extremes, no matter of size of portfolios) and then to divide with 5 to hide true averages on a first sight?

RPI is typical relative measure, based on many similar statistics in economy...
And also don't forget, we are searching for average ability of some agency to sell some average photo, no matter what is a type of that image, size of portfolio, niche of agency etc...
At the end, all our portfolios are just average after we sum all of them...

71
Ok! I am done with this...

72
Of course, if you kill all poor people over the planet, our Earth will become "Planet of Richs"  :D
I don't see any formula where you can get true data results where some fix variables are changed... Little changes will go under "statistical error"!
Of course you can not delete a part of portfolio where some photos were available to bring earnings in calculated period, and then to put data in calculation without them...
What if I delete whole my portfolio on 29th of some month, how could I calculate RPI for that month without any image...? Come on!

P.S.
That will be similar like WHO statistic...
They change measuring limits for some diagnostical disease and suddenly for example next year there is 5% people less with diabetes... :P

73
To me is much more meaningless to make sum of earnings of two different portfolios (different size, age etc.) and then to calculate mid point of them...
Totally useless! How could portfolio 5 years old can be with just one number or value in formula with portfolio which is 5 months old?
But if you compare RPI in one month of two portfolios is quite better, one with 2000 images has RPI 0,89$ and the other with 20 images and 0,56$ you can find some averages, but with ponders...
So then you have to calculate ponders of them, percentage values for multiplication... It is some kind of strength, ponder of portfolio with 2000 image will be 2000/2020= 0,99, and ponders from 20 images is: 20/2020= 0.01

Then mid RPI of those two portfolios will be: 0.89*0.99+0.56*0.01=0,8722

With more portfolios in calculation you will be closer to the true RPI of some agency!
Mid RPI of some agency means what average accepted portfolio can expect there...

There is no any more problem with age, size, or quality...

Then if you compare mid RPIs among agencies you will get some usable data!
P.S.
Also P/E in stock (share) industry is the most usable ratio to compare different companies, from investor's point of view...
Also EPS, in fact EPS (earning per share) is very similar to RPI...

74
I am flying above the floor from laughing... ;D ;D ;D

Your approach is similar to "Whose girl is prettier!" Typical approach for artists!

What is "the best of my portfolio" for me, doesn't mean that is the best for selling over stock agencies...
Also you have to upload them all to see what is the best for selling, right!? In that moment you will see what is your RPI!

In fact, final monthly sum of someone's portfolios earnings in completely unusable... There is many porftolios with 25 images, or with 2500 images, how to put them in the same calculations, without some relative measures?

RPI is quite good measure to compare selling quality among portfolios, it's like that mainly because one thing, we all want money!

All ratios of data are quite good for comparing... Like on the stock exchange market P/E, P/B etc. the RPI or RPD are the same...

Also weird hidden numbers doesn't mean to me anything... I have to compare them in my head or on a calculator to get some relative numbers about potential selling over the agencies... "Relativity is everything (A.A)"

But that is just my opinion, I don't want to offend anyone who thinks or do on a different way...

75
Earnings without portfolio size doesn't really help. So showing an actual number is sort of misleading. I have seen over and over new contributors who mistakenly expect to make hundreds of dollars on Shutterstock just because that is what the poll shows. They don't realize that many people here have thousands of images. In reality this system works fine for what it shows (how one agency relates to another in terms of earning potential). Once you try to assign a $value to it the results break down. The same issue happens when trying to compare exclusives to non exclusives. Without a port size (not to mention port quality) you really can't compare the results.

Yes you can! That is RPI!  :)
