It's a wonder to me if this site is actually making substantial amount of money ?

If so that gives me an idea....Sell your own images directly to! If someone can make money selling your images.
it just stands to reason you might be able to do the same thing...no?

My 5 year old daughter could teach you a lesson about enjoying photography if that's what you want to do...

Sounds like a capital idea chellyar. Lets make an appointment soon so I can begin my lessons as soon as possible.
I am free M thru F 9am to 5pm everyday. Please inform me how much I should expect to pay, and how many lessons I might need.

Is there any hope for me though?

Can I ever return to being a "NORMAL" photographer?

photoshow

It's time to grow up and move on. I counted 11 posts of yours to this thread attempting to justify your modis operandi.
That's totally uncalled for and unnecessary. There is no need to explain to anyone here in this forum what your intentions were
or what indeed your motive were.

If you are an artist thats enough. Everyone realizes that.
So STOP defending yourself, pick yourself up and move on!....everyone can go screw themselves

Geeeezzz

I started in June of 2005, with a Canon Rebel 350D.
Never knew microstock existed.

Quickly switched to Canon 1Ds and took thousands of photos. Made a few dollars on microstock.
It is a sad thing what has happened to me in the few years that followed...I became an "UnPhotographer"

It began as a gradual transition. I didn't even see it coming. A little photoshop tweak here, and then one there.
I began to realize as time passed I was using my camera less and less. The callouses on my snap finger began to disappear.
I looked in the mirror one morning and discovered I had become a "UnPhotographer".

Is there no hope for me as I suffer from this dreadful disease?

PS anyone want to buy a 1Ds and a bunch of "L" lenses?

.16 cents seems like old news.
How about coming up with a .15 cent wonder...or else we can't get excited.

There are several methods involving different steps.
No simple way. No filters, no easy way out except to learn photodhop or another similar program.

"But what about those who are deceased?  Would the estate own the rights to their likenesses and would you have to get a release from the estate's executor?"

Most people who contribute to stock are a small niche of people who are separate from normal people.
They work alone. Never share their cameras, and rarely if ever let the families know what they're doing
on the computer at all hours of the night and day.

They work secretively keeping the money earned from stock hidden from their spouses.
Many successful stock photographers are suspected by their families of illicit and unlawful activities.
This is due to  the huge amounts of cash flow coming in every month.

So when a stock photographer dies suddenly, the family equates the sudden death to their alleged illegal activities.
They never mention the huge cash amounts hidden away in cereal boxes in the hallway closet to anyone, including the authorities.

No one ever suspects micro sites as the source of the cash. Therefore the cash adds up over time. The account becomes inactive.
the Micro site declares the account void, and consumes the hugh cash assets for themselves.

What if my wife's second cousins mother in law took pictures of her godchild's brother at her aunts' nephew's birthday,
Would the mother in law be permitted if her sister inherited the pictures and gave them to her brother's son in law to
upload a single image of their grandchild if the proper model release was obtained?

Caution: Some sites state in their agreements you must be the photographer.

However, I can not seem to find a way that those sites would ever find out.
