Shutterstock.com / I was banned from SS forums« on: July 17, 2006, 06:19 »
I was recently banned from the SS forums.
I didn't violate any rules, but I did speak my mind. I am the type of guy people describe as you either hate me, or love me. I speak my mind, and say things some things certain people find abrasive. ON a post in the SS threads, some one posted a comment that the top 100 search words had not changed in months. I chuckled to myself when I read it because I had been emailing support about that very issue for several weeks. In response to this individuals post about the words not changing, someone suggested that they write support about the issue. I replied to that post. That reply got me banned! What did I say? my exact words: were: "Why bother to write support, it won't do any good anyway". Lisa fired back a PM to me. In that PM she wrote that I had better change my attitude torward SS or I would be banned. "This is your final warning" she wrote. I told her to go ahead and ban me...."I don't care" ...she did. Thats how I lost my posting privileges on the SS forums. 703

ahhhhh! The mysteries of photoshop are revealed to but a very few. If I told you why adding additional layers actually
makes an image lighter....well then I would suffer the wrath of Krauz the photoshop God. ...and you and your family would be in grave danger for knowing the secrets revealed to only the "Chosen Ones". It is for your own personal protection I do not tell you. The MIZ 706

iStockPhoto.com / Re: Istock stepping over the line with VOX« on: July 15, 2006, 03:19 »well in the user agreement we agree to let istock use our images in their advertising. You are correct, however, If im using your image on MY website to domonstrate how well MY eggs will make someone else's baking better, this is a clear cut use by a third disinterested party using YOUR image to their benefit, without paying any compensation to YOU the photographer! I can understand Istock using my image to advertise the Istock website in magazines, and web advertising. That just makes alot of sense since all parties benefit. But to make use of my image by a third party for personal benefit....well it seems values are misaligned here. 711
Off Topic / Re-arrange the order of posts« on: July 15, 2006, 03:03 »
Is it possible to re-arrange the order of posts so as to have the latest responses (last at the end) instead of first.
When I first started reading on this forum, I was quite confused. I'm ok now. 712

I just want to demonstrate how it sooooo very easy for anyone to remove the simple "Istockphoto"
on this "give-away" image. I think if this were my image, I would sort of resent the fact that Istock is putting my images in jeopardy of being pirated. It is really like Istock using my photo to advertise everyone elses images on their website 713
