It appears to me that perhaps you are attempting to pick a fight with yourself.
Your return on your investment in time spent to create and make your images available for downloading to buyers.
Is that what you're discussing here?
If so consider that you do so because of choice. There are no one single winners when it comes to microstock sites.
Each plays a contributing factor to the end product. It takes what it take....till it takes. What ever that is.
Stop trying to find fault. They all play a role in contributing to the month end bank roll. Stop looking at them individually
and start looking at the big picture. Your looking looking for a complicated solution in the simple game of microstock.

The management of 123RF have carefully designed the website to tweak people just to the edge.
Hidden into the website are features that at the end of the day allow
the admin's to kick back, while they open a beer, put their feet up and laugh at all the contributors.
It's a sorta hidden camera in the lady's dressing room if you will.
Hidden into the software are 2 key features.
The first is an algorithm designed to throttle back uploads to the site
so that maximum torture is extracted from each contributor. Maximum effect is achieved with 3 or more files.
The second is a hidden cookie embedded secretly into your browser, that requires you to log in every time you visit the site.
Maximum frustration by the user is achieved exponentially with each subsequent visit.
I know if I owned a micro site I would do the same thing. I would take it one step further though.
I would also require one of the those captua boxes....you know those squiggly letters you have to type into a box then hit submit.
Only mine would be programed not to work the first time and require a second entry.

RacePhoto there is a list small as it may be, it does exist.
On this list are the people in this forum who find me arrogant, selfish, discourteous, and down right bad mannered.
They are not on this list because they are stupid, uneducated, or misinformed.
They are on this list because they are sick and tired of listening to me ramble on and on.
They are on this list because they are exercising their free choice, and rather divert their attention to other important things.

I love Fotolia. I beat my previous BME by over 200$ more. That's a lot of extra money. I was very close to making 1000$ there this month. In March and April I did about 400$ a month so it has more than doubled
It overtook IS and almost caught up with SS.

I just read a thread where one person indicated he/she uploaded about 10 free images to a site a month.
Supposedly they said, this improved their overall sales on that site.
Then that got me thinking about the complaints many here have viewed about subs.
1. Can subs help your overall earnings too?
2. They are not free and at least you get a minimum payment.
3. If people think it's OK to give away FREE images, then why do they complain about subs?
Do I make any sense?

I am attempting to make FT my own personal microstock site.
The more I hear about people not uploading anymore, the closer I am to my goal.
Now I'm hoping those people will soon pull down the images they already have, and close their accounts altogether.
News like this makes my heart soar like an eagle.

I'm feeling a bit spirited today however, and would not mind taking a shot at the "old *insult removed*" title too.
Someone let me know what the rules are, ...and the terms and conditions of the title.

Back in the early days of RF , I used to enjoy Miz, then he went over the edge and got banned pretty much everywhere with his Hate disguised as fun. It's not fun Robert!! Not anymore . Some of us are trying to evolve and bring back the community of understanding and Helping each other. I deserve to sell My Classes,Workshops and Books because I've paid my dues. So Mr, EX Prison Guard give me a * Break, Stay in your own element OK? , Or basement or wherever you spend that liesure time you have since you cant post anywhere else. Spend time on your Craft and show them more than 5 tricks in Photoshop that Most have known for at least 10 years if not more. Do something positive. Im not your enemy, You are your enemy. This is a true story I swear on my children !!
2 years ago I was on the phone with a photographer whom everyone on this forum knows.
He said he admired my work. He proposed to me this arrangement:
He would send me his photographs (he's a pro for many many years) over the net.
I would receive them.
Then I would make concept images out of all he sent me using my photoshop talents.
He then proposed we opened up another account together on SS and sell the images there.
We would split the earnings 50 - 50.
I turned him down.
6 months later he posted a thread on SS about people who use photoshop do so only because they lack photographic skills.
He began ranting and raving against my concepts images. Always referring to me, but never saying my name.
Needles to say, he never has had anything nice to say about me or my work since.
I wont tell you his name, but rest assured he reads and writes in this forum, and he is a professional photog.
I can almost guarantee he wont reply to this thread because if he does I will reveal his name.
