Veer / Re: Veer Lapse in Security
« on: December 17, 2009, 03:17 »
I had exactly the same issue as yours going on for the past 2-3 months.  I initially emailed veer support (abt 3 months ago) about this with snapshots of the other user's personal details/address, etc.  They said it was fixed, but every now and then i still seem to end up in someone's else's accounts.

I just hope whoever is landing into my account, won't delete my entire port.  Or i might be tempted to purchase the most expensive licenses from my port :p.  I've also removed my personal address and details just in case.

Fingers crossed that this security flaw will finally be fixed for good  :-[

Yup, the tax thing did the trick! I assumed it wasn't an issue as i had a sale in June and thought all was good. Lesson learnt :)

Thanks to all who replied/helped and especially Brian.

Now that my port's visible again, hopefully the sales will come :D

Veer / Anybody else has a Veer phantom port problem?
« on: November 04, 2009, 03:15 »
Hi Guys,

Please note, this is NOT a question on image placement in Veer search results of approved images, but rather a port (and its images) not existing despite already having about 600 images approved for a few months.

I was trying out Veer's search to see how far down my images were in the results only to find out that my approved images just didn't exist in their results db.  I've tried using 5-10 keywords from my approved images to narrow down the results and still nothing.  I decided to check my port link to 'view all your images' (http://search.veer.com/artist/505850?view=MP) and there are also no images.

Anybody else faced this issue? Or am i just using Veer (on AJAX steroids) wrongly?  ???

Dreamstime.com / Re: I love the new DT search engine !

From DT:
Look at the algorithms of modern search engines today. It's no longer a simple link descending amount sort (nobody liked seeing spam results on the first page because the site keyword/link spammed).

Algorithms have matured a bit and the sort by relevancy seems a much better step in the right direction.
