Nowadays I go via FTP. Recently in July, I uploaded 3 files with IPTC encoded in the files, and they were reviewed within a couple of days.
Previously i had similar problems with the review times, and I emailed their support. They responded after a day or so, and had my images in pending cleared. So they do respond.
Good luck.
cheers.

Okay. Mine are still pending. From the 25th and 26th. What gives?
Hmmm... beats me. Did you choose the 'property release' and 'model release' selection for each image? And how many have you submitted at a go?

Hmmm... I hope all these technical problems are also somehow linked to why my figures at DT have been dropping to dismal levels in June & July.

123RF is ok for me. Reviews are typically 1-3 days for me as well, via ftp upload. Submissions are quick and easy, and acceptance ratio good.
Sales are nothing spectacular. Already had a couple of payouts.
cheers.

For your reference, mine works okay on my filezilla host: stockxpert.com Port: 21 ServerType: FTP Logontype: Normal User: <put in your username> Password: <something only you will know>
the rest are all unchecked, empty.
Have you successfully FTP'd to other agencies before? Because my settings are no different for other ftp sites actually.
Cheers, ptlee

Hi Greg,
Welcome to Microstock!
Microstock is hard work, to a certain extent. Once you have a decent sized portfolio, the sales can keep relatively consistent, and gives good motivation to upload more.
Airplane shots seems like a good idea, and cloning out the logos should be quite alright, since the area around it are mostly evenly colored?
cheers, ptlee

Oh gosh, I only managed to get my first sale a few days ago. But maybe I haven't been paying much attention to LO.
Anyway, Happy Birthday.

Agreed that they may take a little more time, but they always come through.

Didn't notice anything. Take a deep breath, hold it there for a few seconds and slowly exhale cheers.

My experience is that under good outdoor light, and shooting in lowest ISOs (80, 100) , coupled with good basic understanding of photography techniques, a P&S can easily produce stunning pictures suitable for microstock.
And with a pro DSLR like EOS-1D series with L lenses (not all of them are weather-sealed), they can probably withstand the abuse, but needs to be brought to the service center for more frequent checks and cleanups just to be on the safe side.
Like leaf said, how much are you willing to spend on this venture?
cheers.

IStock has been relatively pretty ok for me, and I do see some fluctuations in sales some times, could be various reasons. Anyway, the increase in upload limit is a piece of good news for me, now, I need to find time to process my images . cheers.

Downloads aren't happening on a daily basis, but is always nice to see some credit downloads. With the new payout limit, I've effectively reached two payouts already. Uploading process is quite straightforward, and the recent revamp gives the site a more lively look. I'm happy to see that they are doing something to improve

My sales in FT was consistent since last October but has been going south substantially (20-30%) since January. Confused I'm still quite happy with FT, though, despite the recent 'slump'. Recently uploaded a new batch, hopefully it helps cheers. ptlee

Apart from their strict reviewers, I find IS quite consistent, and quite correct in their analysis. These artifacts could be due to various reasons, they do spot things that missed my own inspection, and I learn a lot from their rejections (and acceptance). Keep trying. Good luck cheers.
