The image# is how they determine old vs new.

Older images are like # 33000000 or smaller and newer are like 93000000 and larger quite easy actually.

If you are already signed with SS go to Shutterbuzz and look at the restrictions if you dare.
Here is the link and the Colosseum is not on the list of restrictions.

Matt why not submit to both RF and RM?
Why do you think that would be a good idea?
Where would you advise doing this?
There is nothing that says you cant!

If someone sees something of mine and wants to purchase it i will sell it to them, i am not going to send them to a Micro site where they pay pennies for it and they probably dont want to sign up to be able to purchase under some contract so why shouldn't i be able to sell it to them after all it belongs to me and i can do as i wish everyone does it.

Unless of course it stands out and can make you a fortune where in that case you dont put it on a Micro site.

There is stuff for rf sites and for rf and rm sites and then some that just plain dont belong to either.

Thanks JPSDK!!! I really appreciate, but I ended up sending the first 10. Couldn't wait anymore, the wait was killing me...let's see what is the outcome! I will keep you posted!

sorry to tell but you should have taken our advices, best of luck anyway

I was not clear! I followed your advice, of course! I uploaded the last list I wrote with a couple of exceptions...not sent yet, though, I am carefully tagging the images...
If you have last minute tips, let me know!
thanks!
If you want to save yourself a headache i suggest that you post them in the Critique / Tips / Tricks forum on SS so the pros can tell you what will and or will not pass and what you will need to do to gat accepted.

And as said before by someone here (JPSDK) they need to be highly scrutinized at a 100% view for focus, noise, artifacts, fringing and more because SS is very strict.

And if luissantos84 only picked two of your shots then your chances are slim because he knows the standards at SS as do I.

You posted while i was typing and you will know more than likely within an hour maybe. It is hard to say how long but for some reason sometimes newbies trying to get accepted get reviewed quicker then those of us who have been there for awhile. They also have separate reviewers for non editorial and editorial.

If you have submitted your ten then you already have your answer by now.

They look at newbies pretty quick.

Only thing is you didn't post in the Critique / Tips / Tricks forum for I and a few others to check and let you know if they will make the cut!

This here doesnt make any sense at all!

Have registered with 123RF.com before February 1, 2012.
Have at least 150 accepted images in their respective portfolios by January 9, 2012.
Have had a minimum of 10 paid downloads by January 27, 2012.
All new contributors who start submitting images to 123RF.com AFTER January 27, 2012 OR do not meet all the criteria above shall be enrolled under the new commission structure.

And if you submit what one reviewer liked another may find something else to reject it for so it is best to submit a new ten.

Standards at SS are very high and are continually going up higher yet every year if not sooner.

What you have on DT SS will probably only accept 50% if that.

Each site is different with different rules.

Chances are that whatever you have at DT maybe just maybe 50% would make the cut at SS!

So if you really want to know start a thread in the Critique / Tips / Tricks forum and let me and a few others have a look at them and if you can get past us you stand a pretty good chance. {:o)

luissantos84 knows what i mean. {:o)

123RF / Anyone know the New Royalties at 123Rf
« on: January 19, 2012, 14:40 »
Can any one tell me what the new royalty is for new photogs to the site?

It was supposed to change in the beginning of January and should have been  updated by now i would think!

The site still has the old rates posted and no new ones?

I sent them an email asking them back on Friday and then did one of the IM's with someone and they had no idea so he asked me to resend the email which i did and still haven't heard anything.

123RF / Re: Poor website design and functionality NEEDS amended!
« on: January 19, 2012, 08:48 »
Thank you for your honest feedback.

1. Captcha was required because the automated lookstat and other sales analysis tools out there are hitting our servers hard with multiple queries - this pulls down overall site performance and results in slower response times for the clients. We have something in BETA that will help, and our team is analyzing the beta to further optimize and speed up the queries.
2. We can't see what you see at other agencies. If you'd be able to design something, I'll channel the feedback to our IT team, perhaps we can work it into our system as well. You may email me directly: [email protected].
3. We prioritize the site design to allocate more user friendliness towards the image buyers. We don't have much space left on the top.
4. We can fix that right now.
5. Ignore? I'm responding now... aren't I? Some say that 123RF communicates best, now you say something different... I guess the old sayings are true. We just can't please everyone.

Hope you'll be patient.
Alex.
Since i cant seem to be able to start a post i figure why not ask here!

Seven days ago i sent an email to 123RF asking about the new royalty program for new photographers and have yet to get a reply as to what they will be!

Could you please enlighten me so i will know what it is?

I believe it to be unfair to punish new photogs for not being registered and meeting the requirements by January 1st of 2012 and think all photogs should be treated equally.

Any  help would be appreciated.

Here is the email i sent.

I have heard that the royalties for newcomers is different then it is for those who were signed up with 150 images before 1/1/12 is this true and if yes then what are the royalties going to be?

And it doesn't seem fair to have different royalties for anyone new while those already here be they good or bad image producers get the top of the line royalties.

If they are different and not up to par with everyone else then it will save me the trouble of beginning my upload and i will just cancel my account.

Thanks for your help.
