Just checking to see if anyone else had this happen. I had a payment from Pond5 today. However the amount I can withdraw is exactly $45 less than the amount sent.
Note me, had payout from POND5 everything seems normal.

I recently had a notice about my 2019 code on my Adobe page, but it's disappeared. I gifted the 2018 code to a friend, but she only just redeemed it. Did it expire and have I lost a year somewhere?
Yes, I noticed mine has disappeared as well??? Any word on this?

Theres the problem. A: theres no way anyone can make 300 -good- and -useful- videos a day. Its just spamming the system. To the detriment of all.
100% this. The limit forces people to be selective in what they shoot and only upload their best.
Stops everyone's work being swamped by a sea of same-ey rubbish from the same contributors, keeps the collection fresh and makes it possible to survive as a contributor. Win win.
Shame SS started pushing collection size as a metric at every shareholder meeting and announcement backing themselves into a corner and us off a cliff.
Top contributors have nearly 1 million files for each portfolio. It is not one two or three, there are many such ports on SS. Such numbers are not possible in one life-time without team. This is the market of volume. When you have a team with you, quality control is your key function to sustain your unique position. My policy is, not more than two variation of same shot to submit to agencies. It has to be operated like any other business.
...and what does it cost to pay a full team?

I like Adobe a lot, but I would sure like to see them open up to:
- editorial stills beyond "illustrative" (in other words editorial with people) - full editorial video (illustrative as well as editorial with people)

My favorite rejections are the arbitrary "invalid model release" where they don't tell you what is "invalid" about the release...they're just too busy to be helpful I guess.

Remember, a large percentage of those 300 million plus images are things that don't have much sales potential.
But unless something has changed drastically for some explicable reason, a large percentage of those 160 million images, or those 80 million images (so on and so forth) didn't have much sales potential either... i.e. 160 to 320 is still double, whichever way you look at it.
...but which is the more important factor in revenue decline...the number of images uploaded, or the revenue per sale...something tells me it's the latter. In the "good old days" we weren't getting $0.38 per download
How much are you getting now? What's the highest you got before? I only sell video. I'm guessing the download prices haven't changed as drastically as the number of images in the last 14 years? I would have thought the number of images was much more of a factor than the revenue per sale.
But yeah, 2008 for me. Only started taking it seriously in 2014, and just done stock since 2016.
Mostly stills here....used to be an iS exclusive in the "good old days".....way way more than $0.38 per download

... I know and can quote the production houses which are doing it full time and have staff of 12 to 20 people to manage this as business...
In a scenario like this, it seems paying a salary to "12 to 20" people would be fairly costly?

I generally get the most video sales/income from SS, so there's no way it makes sense to cut them off.

Is there a way to say when a sale occurred on POND5?

They are the store, they should be bringing in buyers/.

Generally speaking in terms of ups and downs, it's as much about the direction as the quantities. Upward trends at any level are very encouraging, downward trends at any level are very discouraging

Mine was an old one but then I did an updated release and made sure everything was neat and legible and filled out to perfection, they accepted it on an image uploaded on Saturday and rejected it yesterday on another image! So apparently model releases are hit and miss ... They are good one day of the week, then not good (then probably good again).
Interesting. I was speculating that maybe they were not accepting older (whatever that my mean) releases. I guess it's not so simple.

I haven't had that happen but they are saying all of a sudden a model release is "invalid" which is frustrating.
It happened to me several times.
Out of curiosity, are the model release rejections from older shoots?

Yes, and of course they won't tell you what is "invalid" about it so you can't address or contest the issue.

I have seen both on different files: claiming a model release isn't there when I know I uploaded one, and that a model release is invalid....what is going on there ?!?!?

I have had a number of submissions where I know I attached a model release and SS is claiming I did not....have other's seen that?

SS has become by far the most frustrating agency to contribute to....unfounded rejections galore.

Thanks so much!! In a time when most sites are giving relatively less and less to contributors year over year, this is very much appreciated!!

Just happened to notice on adobestock that there are a bunch of videos where the artist is "XYZ/Pond5" where XYZ can be many different names. Is this some agreement between Adobe and POND5?

I think we should start a petition for Adobe to start accepting editorial material. Now I think would be a great time for the that to happen. If a number of us express interest in supplying them with that type of material we might be able to get them to consider it more seriously.
Any thoughts?
I'm surprised they haven't already. Editorials present relatively minimal regulatory risks to agencies vs commercial.
They now accept illustrative editorial which is a good start.
I have to wonder if they don't accept editorial from "regular contributors" because of deals they have with editorial suppliers
