General Stock Discussion / Re: Are U Mac or PC?
« on: October 31, 2009, 14:21 »
PS. How would you build a 27" iMac from PC parts?

The same way you 'build' a 27" Mac. Buy it straight from dell or gateway or some other company. Mac isn't the only brand with all-in-ones. And the ones from other companies are much cheaper. Like this quad-core dell (albeit only has a 24" screen) for $1300.

WOW that's looking pretty cool.
Yhanks for the link

Is there an "acceptance procedure" here?  I don't know how many images to upload or if I should start just dumping my portfolio there???

I don't know how well it will/would sell but there is some really wierd (unusual) stuff here ... almost as weird as me.   :P

Just in small batches would in my experience work best.
Not to much of the same subject.

I have to say I like the Mac design.
In school we work on Macs.
At home I still have PC  I don't see very much difference in the working field compare PC to Mac.
I only hate vista but I could change it to windows 7.

For the design I would buy Mac
for the price PC.

On one PC we run Kubuntu  (linux) until now no problem.

As far as I know there is no FTP sorry....
Send in some unusual non stock like images, strange landscapes, strange poses, colors etc...
Yes you get many rejection but once accepted almost every image gonna get at least a sale and many many views.
It's allowed to send in images your already selling trough other stock sites.

Good luck

And the fun part it's applicable to every language.

I have to say being around here for a year my English in writing is improved by 100%.
Speaking is no problem it's only a problem when talking to people from different countries.
Like speaking 5 minutes in English and switch to German or Dutch within those 5 minutes back and forth.

I think it's great that everybody tries to communicate in English although their native language is totally different.
And most of the time their spelling is correct only the choice of words could be better, me included.

I hope in the future their would be only one easy language so their will be no misunderstanding with communication.

If the upload system is still that horrible I think they will have to search harder for photographers.

Shutterstock.com / Re: What do you disagree about SS??
« on: October 03, 2009, 03:04 »
I like SS in almost every thing they do so far....
-very big plus the support is very very good
-the forum is great
-the review is in most cases correct
-the try to listen to the contributers
-dealing with frauds

Some minus
-the top 50 is still the same
-25 cents is to low

Newbie Discussion / Re: Repeated rejection from iStockphoto
« on: September 26, 2009, 05:43 »
Most rejects I get is for over filtered very strange because I'm really careful  with filters such as saturation, noise reduction, etc.
And the most fun part I send them to scout and the got approved by scout but don't show as approved in my portfolio.
After sending the approved scout message back to the scout I got the messages we really terrible sorry but you photo is been over turned   and the original reviewer is right.....

This is for the second time this month....
