I only give Getty stuff that was declined by my 2 top exclusive agencies, and even then I prefer Adobe/SS. I don't care for their briefs anyway, Adobe still does the best briefs.

I think we can all find common ground in acknowledging the disappointment we all feel in our governments, left or right. I personally wouldn't proudly wave a flag for either side. 7
Pond5 / Re: Is it against the term to be exclusive in pond5 with 2nd account?« on: October 30, 2020, 00:59 »
it's fine, there was some kerfuffle last year when they changed royalties and contributors were super annoyed, so they allowed up to create a second account that was exclusive only.

Adobe Stock / Re: Introducing the free collection from Adobe Stock« on: October 16, 2020, 03:37 »...Microstock killed traditional stock. Giving away images for free will kill microstock. excellent observation, and I had wondered if Adobe is doing this to knock out their competitors, instead of trying to get new customers. I suppose they've tried to suggest they are trying to bring in new customers, but we all suspect they are not the right kind of customer, ie, a paying customer. 10
Adobe Stock / Re: Introducing the free collection from Adobe Stock« on: October 15, 2020, 20:17 »Hi everyone, thanks Mat. You've been put into a terrible position here, having to defend something that we all know is a bad idea, at least from a contributor's perspective. It's great that you've been brave enough to spend so much time here today. 11
Adobe Stock / Re: Introducing the free collection from Adobe Stock« on: October 15, 2020, 20:03 »I just went on the Adobe Free section. I went through about 1000 images... 99% of these images are model/people images. Very good model/people images. If you shot models I would guess your sales will go to zero in the future. It will be interesting to see if Adobe adds more diversity to this collection with different types of images. One of the big contributors was Rawpixel.com. I do not know this photo house but very heavy on the typical stock model picture. Typical but very good images. thanks for this Jo! yes, very interesting to see some really great work, and some of it is average, but imho clients don't have quite the same standards as photographers. average photos that are free will still "outsell" (eek) a superior image that costs $$. 12
Adobe Stock / Re: Introducing the free collection from Adobe Stock« on: October 15, 2020, 19:45 »Please, all stock agencies, stop doing stupid experiments.Actually this isn't true, I've had a look and a few of my niche areas aren't covered so that's a relief. 13
Off Topic / Re: Trump has the rona« on: October 10, 2020, 04:18 »
you are suggesting Trump's rallies come with violence? you should google Dr Karlyn Borysenko. she was a lefty who went to a Trump rally. If the election were about 'who acts like the nicest person" then sure, Biden will win. although Mike Pence seems nice enough too, after watching that VP debate. but look at the verb "acts". Trump isn't acting, he can't fake it. he's so * real. The politicians have been at it so long they don't know how to be real anymore. I really loved Andrew Yang, he seemed to be the leader the whole world needed, but the media and the Dems squashed him, even though he had so much grassroots and online support. this election is a joke: between the has-been and the Loudmouth. I reckon we call can agree on that. But what does the world need right now? that's the question. 14

the rest of the world might raise an eyebrow at this claim, and perhaps offer up some alternative candidates for this title. but then again, when americans say "world" they mean themselves....
sorry for your loss, by all accounts she was an incredible woman. 15

same, we've already done the work. i've got a small port there of about 1k bits of random stuff, but i'm ok to just let it stew. hardly make any sales. and hardly ever upload. 17
Off Topic / Re: Trump has the rona« on: October 04, 2020, 19:24 »The problem is not POTU. The American society placed him there, as president of the USA. you are welcome to try to explain it... you haven't at all. i've watched plenty of videos on this subject, and i see the spin put on it too. this system was created to avoid tyranny, and now you have NY and CA suggesting they should be the states to have all the power (via a popular vote). That's approaching a version of tyranny that the founding fathers didn't want to see. 18
General Stock Discussion / Re: Anyone use Mavic Mini for stock?« on: October 04, 2020, 05:08 »bestravel video, Thank you very much I will try find some raw footage, I know it was not the best just want something acceptable i found the first Mavic to be pretty dodgy, and Stocksy declined a lot of it. i happily upgraded. but still, it's a camera that flies! they compare the quality to people who hung out of choppers with DSLRs.... it's not quite fair. 19
General Stock Discussion / Re: Anyone use Mavic Mini for stock?« on: October 04, 2020, 05:06 »bestravel video, Thank you very much I will try find some raw footage, I know it was not the best just want something acceptable Stocksy are VERY picky over Mavic pro footage, and i was very frustrated with the quality too, so for both those reasons i sold my first drone to upgrade. I also get a lot of declines from my Osmo. at stocksy, nowhere else of course. only stocksy and adobe premium are super crazy nitpicky, in my experience. i think everywhere else is fine. a camera that flies is a marvel! 20

The American society placed him there, as president of the USA. i'm not american and I feel i understand the electoral college better than you do. let me try this on you: how about we create a world government, and we have an Earth president. great idea. ok, how shall we set it up? popular vote? ...... can you perhaps see some flaws in that idea? I'm sure you might be objecting to such a notion, and you clearly aren't conservative. 21
