For me it's a business purchase. Since IS pays by size, to maximize my sales potential and for top image quality I would need a 16mp full frame.... but I'm a Nikon man so I'll have to wait. I don't want more MPs for many reasons including new computer upgrades to handle bigger file sizes, more storage costs....

Not even close for me.
On SS I'm at $317 and on IS that same image is at $505.

FTP seemed to be back on so I uploaded 47 files.... none of them are there! I guess FTP is still crap at LO.

My goal is to make $6000.00/month from micros only which would be a 50% increase. Buy a Nikon D400: 16 mp, full frame Do at least 3 trips. 2 are already planned: Panama and Calgary. Maybe Honduras for the third.. dunno yet. That's it!

May 2004 and it is still the most favorite part of my job
Hey LEAF! We started at the same time! May 2004! I've been a full time photog now since August 2006 thanks to Microstock which is roughly 70% of my income.

As a marker leader IS won't loose market share because of the increase. I actually think the others are just waiting on the sidelines hoping for IS to increase price so that they can do the same and increase their profits.

I'm on PC and I tried with both IE and FF and I was never able to upload... so I never did!
Maybe one day... when they find out what FTP is.

WOW! Now I get why my sale fell dramatically last week! Monday was a record day for me on IS and the rest for the week, my sales were down 30% from my average. For me 30% is a lot of $$$. Let's hope things pick up again or else I'll be loosing hundreds of $$/month because of this.

Thx LeaF!
This is great.. my dad had mentioned organizations like this and Kiva seems very professional. I feel very lucky to be able to live well as a photographer and I will encourage other entrepreneurs as much as I can!

I don't participate in forums and I'm doing quite well. Quality and quantity... and as more good photogs show up quality will become even more important.

That's soooooo cool for her. A fellow "Qubquois". Funny that IS is Canadian and their top selling photog is also Canadian. Too bad we get paid in US$ I'm down 15% in 2 months just on the exchange rate! But I won't complain sicne I've been getting good money before!

WOW! the ISO 12800 grain looks like my D200 ISO 640 or 800!! It just blows me away! Now if they can make one without an integrated vertical grip like the 5D I'm sold!
