it depends on what kind of beer I suppose. As Buffet(Jimmy not Warren) says: It's Five O'clock Somewhere.

I haqve wondered that as well . I suppose if it would help to ease the load on the entire system,IS's it folks would shut the forums down. But, not being an IT expert myself, this is purely speculation on my part. Hope it is all resolved soon!

iStockPhoto.com / Re: What is your all-time $/DL at IS?

All time average per download is .64

However, since the price restructuring in January, the average has jumped to .79 per sale.

I'd go to the I stock page and get a phone # I have dealt with them on the phone a couple of times, and they are very helpful.

I got my first subscription sale from dt yesterday, Frankly I do so little there it seems like it isn't worth it to be there. The subscription model works well at SS because of volume, DT doesn't generate(at least for me) the kind of views nor downloads required to keep me interested in contributing. Of course I have a very small port there, so maybe i just need to relax a little and not worry, but I just feel that the sub. is a poor fit for that site.

Lighting / Re: What do you use for backing?

I use white formica,or nevermar, it is relatively cheap and very durable. If you spill on it it cleans easily. It can be had at any home improvement store. You can lay it flat, or create a sweep. My costs on seamless paper have dropped dramatically since I purchased this.

Adobe Stock / Re: Fotolia About to Cross the 1 Million Mark?

Sounds like the fast food industry. There is no longer a small anything. Just regular, large, extra large etc. I'm confused about the image count though, how can fotolia make such a claim? I guess there is no microstock police department to watch over things.(not that I would endorse such a thing)

Mine have remained at about 59 cents since the price changes. I am not exclusive with Istock

Hmm...It seems to me that IS is being kind of cheap here, granted they don't have to do anything for the contributors, but why not spend a few more bucks and give away a 5D? 3 grand is chump change to them.
