Yes, there are plenty of plot holes and some silly scenes. I think some answers purposely left unanswered.

Visuals were fantastic and "David" the android put on a stellar performance.

All in all I enjoyed it and it leaves you with thought provoking questions.

Here is a 2009 movie I caught on netflix. Very thought provoking I thought.

The Man from Earth: An impromptu goodbye party for Professor John Oldman becomes a mysterious interrogation after the retiring scholar reveals to his colleagues he is an immortal who has walked the earth for 14,000 years.

I love how the audio was done for this scene.

Be sure to let us know what he has for breakfast tomorrow.

I agree. He has set it up perfectly.

Well yes. Sales are few still, but regular and increasing. More than I expected. peopleimages.com will not be able to compete against the big buys in the marketplace. We are too specialized.
For the right kind of client we are perfect however. And we are starting to see that, because our customers are absolutely crazy about us. One actually sent me a pair of socks to my private adress, thanking me for finally giving them a "proper" workplace. There must be a pretty big built up pressure inside some of these designers.
Socks... Can you believe that! :)

I seriously believe you should keep that to yourself, if I was a buyer, even a very weird one I would like to have my privacy, but hey sure you wont be fired because of this post :D

And how exactly did he violate the buyer's privacy? By saying "one customer"? Ya, that's enough to get his name, address, facebook profile, credit card nubmer, pin. And we all know which customers he's reffering to. Ah.

Hilarious Spike :D

From a blog post to socks and a privacy talk again.

Burning question is. What color Socks?

wild and domesticated ??  surely someone searching for a wild animal wouldn't want this horse.

wildlife and pet ??

habitat ?   Would you search for horse habitat ?

A few long bows in that group. I agree with some , others I wouldn't use myself.

Does anybody ever search "mammal" ?
151,000 keyworded on IS. Looks like people like keywording it atleast

what about neutrons, protons and electrons ?
nitrogen = there must be some in the air between the lens and the horse.
;)

Yes I understand. We could write "thinking" and "looking" as I am sure the horse is doing both of those things :)

"surely someone searching for a wild animal wouldn't want this horse" How would you know? We talking about buyers. Some ordinary, ignorant and some smart people out there. If I searched "Wild" and that image popped up I would not think for a second anything negative about the photographer and his choices of words as they are completely understandable. If a woman looking crazy with insanely frizzy hair popped up, I would accept that as a "wild" woman. As long as it is understandable to the buyer then it cannot be a wrong word.

It is a Mammal indeed and it is in a habitat and/or even its own.

ShadySue : Yes I am also talking about iStock. Please see above with regards to "Mare" "Stallion" and other words you disagree with. I agree with a lot of what you are saying but why so specific? We never really know what a buyer wants or is thinking. I'm sure people go on the site looking for dogs and leave with a picture of a cat and a summer holiday picture.

It's subjective. Nobody is wrong here. (Incept for "trotter", "dressage" and "foal")  ;D

The title is horrible "Horse Beautiful Green Field in British Summer Morning" What do you think?

Happy Keywording :)

What? Can they do that? :s I thought you transferred all rights to the images to Pinterest when you uploaded to them...?

37
Actually worth reading

38
I would say "trotter", "dressage" and "foal" are the most outstanding words there but Stallion and Mare are not wrong at all. Most buyers wont know the difference and wont see it as wrong if that image pops up from a search for "Mare or Stallion"

Im missing a few but I came up with a couple more - animal, wildlife, nature, outdoors, farm, outside, grass, grassland, pasture, pastureland, meadow, field, paddock, countryside, grass, pet, horse, domestic, wild, domesticated, mare, stallion, copyspace, green, summer, spring, environment, environmental, habitat, mammal,

I think the more words the better. Just make sure the buyer will understand why you have put that word there. Although the horse is not in a paddock, the buyer wont take it as wrong keywording.

What you think?

39
In my experience, my newly uploaded images always sell better than my older files. Both on Shutterstock and on iStock. :-)

I think you'll see an immediate drop in income, but it will probably change after some time. Depends on what kind of images you do.

Have anyone tried out the "custom retouching" thing on Yuri's new site?? http://peopleimages.com/image/retouching
I have to admit I think its a bit overly ambitious. I mean, it sounds cool and everything but is it really realistic??
I have only ever had 3 or 4 people who's asked me for some kind of alteration of my images, and only once was what it actually possible. Of course, I don't sell as many images as Yuri, but still
I mean is there a market for it at all? I don't think a lot of people really understand what's possible in photoshop and what's not. The few requests I've gotten have all but one been completely insane. Like, one guy actually asking me to pretty much create an entire body. It will never look real, and if Yuri's people say they can do stuff like that to all their images........ Hmm
Not really sure what to think about it.

Anyone tried it out?? I'm thinking of trying it out just to see if what you get is actually usable?

42
I'm confused, is he getting a puppy or not.

If I wanted to start Microstock Audio. What are the necessary steps to take? How do I start? What are my boundaries? Rules? Best way to start? What sounds does the public look for?

If anyone has some information or experience, please tell me.

I am rather interested in this.

General Stock Discussion / Re: Keywording your images
« on: April 30, 2012, 07:45 »
Yes a description would be great and a fun catchy title.

You should separate your keywords with commas.

Fun catchy titles might help in camera club competitions, and for all I know it might help in some agencies; but on iStock, and no doubt others, they require only factual titles, because that's what turns up on Google searches.
http://www.istockphoto.com/article_view.php?ID=583

I read the article and I understand where they are coming from. Why not use a catchy fun title along with a factual text. It appeals to a buyer and can possibly make them think. It could quite possibly make the buyer decide to buy yours over another photographers image. Although "Eggs Benedict" is correct and that is exactly what it is - how boring. What about:

Delectable delicious breakfast ready for you - Eggs Benedict

It is not the best example to work with as the image is very specific but I hope you understand what I mean. :)
