Looks a little weird, but not far off either.  Maybe you don't need to use log and just shoot with what you see is what you get approach.  Unless shooting in RAW, compressed vides images don't have much range for post color correction.  Therefore, it's better to shoot with color you want in final product.

Thanks for your comment helloitsme.

Shooting logs gives me the possibility of also send the log file for sale. This can be interesting for clients who wants to do the grading on their side.

Hello Guys,

Thank you again for your feedbacks! They are very useful for me.

@increasingdifficulty can the saturation of the of the shadows and highlights be managed in Premiere Pro ?

@SpaceStockFootage, @Chichikov the left version is the graded one :) I will try to play with contrast then. Regarding the highlight their are burned in the some part of the clouds in the original footage already.

When seeing the video i'm still not really satisfied by the result. I looks like i have some haze (fog) and that shot is not popping a lot. What do you think ?

 :)

Yes, you definitely overdid it.

Keeping details in the highlights is usually something that separates a professional looking shot from a consumer/cheap looking shot. UNLESS, there is a person talking against a very bright background - then it would be OK. But here, the subject is the landscape. That's one of the main things that makes an expensive camera looks expensive - the dynamic range/highlight roll-off in challenging situations.

Since you have more details in the original shot, it will be an easy fix.

If you want to get picky I would mask out the clouds/upper part and apply different grading there for a more professional looking shot.

Hello increasingdifficulty,

Thank you very much for your feedback. I will definitely keep this in mind for the future.

Anything i can improve somewhere else ? For example in the colors.

I think you kill details in highlights.

Thanks Demich,

Just noticed it specially in the clouds in the foreground.

I will check that point.

:)

Hi guys,

I'm trying to improve my skills on color correction.

Here you have an aerial shot done with a Phantom 3 pro in the French Alps.

What do you think about it ? Please be honest don't hesitate.

Thanks  ;)

Nice colors!
but in many cases the buyer will use your footage with many others and need to correct the colors to have the same style for whole video. in this case your videos have strong colors and high contrast that maybe not be very good in the postproduction in my opinion. by the way very nice shots.

Hello Mograph,

Thanks for your feedback. Good point ! It's something I did not really think about.

I saw that some people are directly sending the non grades videos. Maybe it's a good idea.

Hello Microstockers,

Hope you are doing great!

Since few im trying to get the more i can from Phantom 3 by shooting  in D-Log. Shooting D-Log means colograding in post.

Here you have some few samples i did in Greece. Please note that there is no cut. And sorry for the big watermark :)

What do you think about the colors ? Dont hesitate to give me your opinion if you like it or not.

Thanks a lot.
