@Goofy:
If you upload images via FTP, did you transfer those into "My images" section? Do they still show in your FTOP account? Please let me know and we can find the problem. Usually, the FTP upload should not take longer than some seconds per image.

Regarding the tax issue, I am sorry the goverments are like that. The print for the tax exemption are in mostly in German language, that is why we help you if you contact us and ask for help. And what do you mean fix - make it available in english? The tax thing? That is the government print, they only accept their print.

@Fyletto:
Do you want to send us a hard drive or dropbox account, so we can upload them for you and you give it a try?

@Ariene:
We have standard and corporate subscriptions (0,23/0,46 EUR) and also Web, Small and big print subscriptions, so comparing a web download with a shutterstock XXL download is actually not really the same. But I get your point that we need to pay more than the big ones to be more attractive, but after all it is the total you get at the end of the month. And there are only 4-5 agencies that are attractive, right? So there is a big gap after agency 5. However, I recommend to upload to at least 10-15 agencies to have a fair competition. And according to the top contributors, we are between 6 and 10 depending on the month, so maybe you should give the smaller ones more power to get bigger?

Anyway, good luck to you all and hope we increase sales for you with our new site.

Best regards,
Robert

Thanks Robert, but since I have some 5000 images I really do not know which of them have and which have not been accepted. And going through every image and check whether it was accepted or not is simply impossible. But thanks for your proposal, I will stick with the rules and be happy with what I have (some 2700 images on Panther). Still, good luck with your future re-launch.

Well, Robert, that is why I am still with you. To add some balance, I want to support some European stocks as well because all the big guys have gone to USA (Fotolia, Dreamstime...). So I was still uploading albeit the fact the sales were minimal. And to my suprise this month - despite its length - is very good regarding the sales. Almost as good as some months in 2011, my best year with Panther. As of reviewing, the standards have changed and nearly everything gets accepted now - if I uploaded my portfolio now (which is impossible) I would have some 1000-2000 more images an thus more sales. But that are the rules of the game, I am glad there is a site like Panthermedia.

90 USD?  >:(  In translation to English: Dear contributor thank you for being already 7 years our loyal supplier. Now give us back the alms we gave to you... Thanks your Istockphoto

Yes, 50% down for a whole June comapred to May. Not normal. I am 3500+ port with regular uploading. This is not normal.

For example in the Czech Republic 1st May is not only Labour day but also The Day of Lovers, which is considered as a famous, traditional and non-commercial alternative to US import Valentine. It is a public holiday and a man has to kiss his woman under the blooming cherry tree :-) Anyone got more "blooming nature" downloads yesterday? :-)

62
Right, Veer remains to be repaired... Thanks

63
David, everything seems ok, but Veer. I am not even able to enter my credentials (error message) - it used to work well. I even tried to set a custom channel but it did not work either. Thanks for help

64
Btw. I allways upload via passive mode...

65
Well, it still does not work for me  :( I uploaded 40 files which were distributed just to Dreamstime and Canstockphoto (the only normal channels, the others are set to custom). Is there anything I have to set?

66
Yup, I would love to hear some updates as well - support does not respond via mail  :-\

General Stock Discussion / Re: November, so far?
« on: November 10, 2011, 04:32 »
Slow, slow... Unusually slow at all sites, even on Shutterstock. After the great September, above average October the November looks reallllllllyyyyy bad. But I have few Christmas images, that is true.

68
Well, well, if it is DP the big guys like Yuri are under the threat as well. And I see Fotolia putting them back to white as funny... Ha ha, this could be the last thing Fotolia might do before falling under the level of those small sites they are challanging now.

Milinz: Well, I could have changed Moneybookers to Paypal, but is that forbidden?  The others have not received their cheque for example. And they did not change anything. Do we blame Shutterstock? No, It was my favourite agency until now. But what do I have to do if I do not have my money and my income depends on the microstock hugely? What would you do if you did not received your money? Would you be happy and defend Shutterstock? We are waiting for response. For anything. Forums are being read by Shutterstock, they have their own new posts and threads - so they are present in the Shutterstock forums, and do not respond to our problems. They have support. Why are they silent? This is obviously a Shutterstock problem, not made up by us. And if they even do not have a phone number for us to call, what tool to defend ourselves do we have left than forums??

Well, yes... Obviously the automated payment should be without any problems - shall see in the beginning of August. However, should you have any problem or "special" request, they will not pay you because it is done manually - which is a huge problem for some reason. However, as clearly visible in my case, they have promised payment (I received e-mail) and have done nothing about it so far.

No, not a tax problem, but a serious thing and sign Shutterstock cares about contributors no more :-( I am having similar problems as the original author of this thread. I changed from Moneybookers to Paypal so I could have better control over my money and better chance to spend them online. But I made mistake by not checking the Paypal option - I have just changed the e-mail address. I had to contact support and was promised a reissue of the payment to my correct Paypal address. But since then - it was  months ago - silence. No money and no response to my numerous e-mails from support. So, this is not a tax issue but a inside Shutterstock issue. Unfortunately, the payment I am missing was a combination of earnings since the beginning of the year (I was waiting for better USD conversion rate) and so a quite big sum of money for me. If only there was another way how to contact them, but the phone is "just for the buyers - contributors do not bother". Does anyone here has a direct contact (e-mail etc.) to somebody from Shutterstock? Me and many people with similar problem as stated on Shutterstock forum would appreciate that...

The same for me! Earnings to be paid are gone :-(

Veer / Re: veer a wasted effort for new contributors?
« on: March 11, 2011, 04:24 »
Absolutely not lost effort. Although sales are seen seldom, if they appear, however, it is worth it - they appear in batches and ELs are not rare among them.

Waiting more than month - over 200 files have not been reviewed so far... Is that a way how to make a business ??  :P
