After Istock was acquired by Hellman & Friedman it is heading from one of my favourite sites to the worst. Greedy, insecure, conservative stock very unfriendly to contributors. Again... I feel like a slave :-( Was not the slavery forbidden in the middle of 19th century???

Please, just not total exclusivity... I am for exclusive files option, but in present, Shutterstock is the backbone for independent photographers. With this site exclusive, and giving search advantage to some, I would have to leave micro and head towards macro agencies. Which I do not want.

With 800 files online I have already had 4 payouts. From time to time I get 30 Euro sale, however the most is around 2 - 10 Euros...

Well, you are in the wrong forum... Do you really think that micro work is just a crap ? You really do not understand it, that is clear, my friend... Technical requierements are often higher than macros and people are learning fast along with muh higher micro standards. If you compare it to some macro dinosaurs, you would clearly see, how much progress did micros make over the last few years... And future development along with new products will cut even bigger piece of cake of macro segmwnt. Perhaps you even would have not been accepted to some micros, if you tried.. And as of guarrantees and copying ? As I said before, micros and authors learn fast. This will be crucial for their further success...

Just wanted to register as contributor and after my account is verified by e-mail and I click on "become a contributor" I get this error message :

Well, personally, I like PM very much. I was already able to make one payout and now heading for the second one. The review times ache me quite however... Do anyone know how long do I have to wait now? Have been already waiting for about 2 weeks

Well, perhaps I will give it a try, in few weeks  But please explain the categories thing. I will not upload to any other site with categories as it consumes too much time... That is why I give my stuff to smaller sites like Crestock... No categories, I upload and that is all. From my point of view, this is a must-have for any new agency.

Right... I am 20 months in microstock now... Speaking about SS, my port is 1200 pictures now , and used to have about 40-60 dwnls in average (84 max), I have just 20-30 now... Very bad time. However, january was very tricky last year and picked up just in the end... But even with 1/2 port I had bigger sales than now. BAD...

Ok, guys. I perfectly understand each of you, I am UK zone prisoner as well... But only few of you were able to express your ideas on Fotolia...The thread is small there. I suggest: help us there! Only people contributing to this topic on Fotolia forum are the same ones from the beginning. If we want the change, they have to see masses. Look at ranking, subscription threads there... They have at least hundreds of replys by various people... So please, support us there as well... Big thanks to Andresr for his replies there!!! If even one of the biggest fish does not agree with Fotolia policy, it helps so much to our matter...
