Shutterstock.com / Re: Are you experiencing MASS REJECTIONS?
« on: July 17, 2011, 23:38 »
it's getting really difficult now  :-[

only the picture on the left got accepted. all the others rejected coz of similarity.... hmmmm.... for me every shot is quite different, isn't it. and also - if somebody is looking for an asian woman standing/walking with luggage on white background he/she won't find too many results....  ::)

Is Shutterstock start doing quality control? Just received this e-mail:

We have removed the following images that you uploaded.
title (number ) deleted because: Quality Control -
Removed per legal. Do not resubmit
Regards,
ShutterStock Support

also got one today. no clue how they pick them and also don't know why they chose this particular picture. maybe a buyer who didn't like the quality and claimed the money back?

Adobe Stock / Re: How long for approval at Fotolia?
« on: October 17, 2010, 01:58 »
my last batch was approved within 2 days. sometimes it may also take up to one week. more than that is unusual...

Weird... I got some blocking rules and removed them now but I think there was nothing to block Your region.
Please check again, and if my sites won't work try http://home.pl and tell me if that works.

yep, this one works (http://home.pl)
the others don't

Weird!  I haven't had that.  I have the opposite problem - sales ground to a halt yesterday and can't figure out why?!

Same here. No sales on tuesday and only one yesterday. Today still nothing.
I think something is broken..

yep, i am facing the same at the moment: last sale on the 4th this month with a port of approximately 1000pics... hmm....

Now available as a standalone Firefox add-on. No need for Greasemonkey extension. All version still available.

Actually it's selfhosted,  it should appear soon on addons.mozilla site.

Any feedback strongly appreciated because it's a premiere.

would love to check it out but site seems to be down. this message appears: The page cannot found/Error 404

Crestock.com / Re: Crestock - new owner?
« on: October 02, 2010, 04:09 »
I don't hate Crestock at all. They have been a good little earner for me. I think I've only had like a couple of rejections from them.
I can understand why they are disliked by people getting more rejections, but I also understand why they are trying to keep the collection focused, as one of the main buyer complaints is the amount of stuff they need to trawl through to find what they want.

..but still something is definitely wrong about their rejections. i got acceptance rates between 85 and 95% on the 9 sites i am uploading to. but when i tried crestock with a couple of my pics that were accepted everywhere they rejected approximately 90%. that was almost 2 years ago. and i never uploaded there anymore...

together with their (non-)importance on the microstock market and the commissions they were paying (if they finally paid) i found them extremely arrogant and not worth to work with.

so i guess as long as the new owners don't want to change a few things to the better of the contributors i wouldn't bet anything on their success also in the future  ::)

review time for all the pics in the queue set back to ~150h (apart from the "image under review" ones)  :(

Veer / Re: Review time
« on: September 30, 2010, 09:48 »
i am already 4 weeks waiting now which i find much too long. and when i read about people waiting 6 weeks+ i have to say that's far too long. in general 1 week should be the maximum review time. 1 month and more means that there is something going totally wrong there...

123RF / Re: How's this site in earnings?
« on: September 21, 2010, 09:43 »
123 gets me usually about 5% of my monthly total (i am uploading to 9 sites).

this september is much better than all the past months on 123 though. i am acutally making more money than on DT and FT. only SS and IS are (much) better. i might reach about 10-12% of my total earnings this month.

with a port of 2000 pics you should make at least 50-100usd per month. but it might be easily much more depending on your port.

edit: if you make much less then you are probably not shooting what they are looking for  ;)

iStockPhoto.com / Re: Account is under investigation
« on: August 26, 2010, 06:31 »
Can we see your illustration and the sketches or screen shots you sent IS for proof? Can we see your portfolio at other sites? If not, I assume you're just lying your way out. Sorry.

...i am also wondering why nothing had been posted here so far...

Dreamstime.com / Re: Are Dreamstime sales being recorded today?
« on: August 17, 2010, 22:57 »
4 sales with a port of 800 yesterday. average weekday sales is 2.5-3 for me. so, not extremely different, but better than worse  ;)

24
i searched for "woman, thai" and the search result showed 278 matches on the entire 123rf site. that's not really a lot  ::) and non of my own pics are shown in the search result although i must have approximately 500 pics including these keywords  :'(

and yes, my sales here are going down, down, down  :-[
