Dreamstime.com / Re: Am I Starting To Keyword Spam?
« on: February 19, 2009, 09:09 »
I saw straight away that he was looking at a wallet. Even common thieves wear suits and bankers of course  ;). Wearing suits by criminals is a very old ploy, as people often perceive people wearing suits to be honourable  ???. Yeah a pickpocket probably won't be wearing a mask. Nonetheless a buyer might buy an image like this if he is looking for a picture or a concept of a pickpocket. It's an excellent image. To be rejected for the word pickpocket, for an image like this is being a bit pedantic to say the least.

Wow that's great news. I heard that it happens sometimes on DT. Any chance of posting the link here of the photo? Maybe some more photographers can post theirs too.

Lol Runamock. Yeah it's a little annoying, I spend ages choosing categories. Although, I know I shouldn't as keywords are the important thing. No categories on 123rf Yay! But unable to change keywords in the future Boo!

I could never do the business people sitting around a table photo. I'm not that good at staged shots. Although I'm well aware that they sell better than my travel shots. I have tried taking photos of models a few times, I think I was lucky to get good models who knew what they were doing, as I certainly didn't. I'm just sticking to what I know best, capturing people as they are, in their natural environments. I love that.

Magda, that's the risk that they are taking with choosing photos from Flickr, which can even be downloaded for free. The more I think about it, the more I think it is kind of a desperate move by them. Not that I'm not happy for you and others who have had their photos chosen. If I were you I would disable the micro pics. in question and let them take all the images that they have chosen. This is just my opinion, however I can see how this would be a bit of a predicament. Thanks for the info. before e-person.

I made my Flickr account private a couple of weeks ago, for fear of image theft. Heard a lot of stories. I generally have better images there than I do with my microstock images. In a dilemma about it. Don't know whether to make the images public, I hear that even if I uploaded the images at 500 pixels, there are still programs which can make decent prints from this. Anyone, got any information on this? Thanks. Sorry to steal your post melastmohican, well done by the way.

Members who are 'lurkers' (those who have less than one post) are not able to start new threads.  This is an effort to cut down on spambots.

Been going around and around MSG, wondering why I can't start a thread. Just read the above, so hopefully now that I've posted this, I can start a thread and I can stop hitting my laptop.
