Most successful microstockers try to produce high volumes and they will try to limit the time spent on post production. Therefore if you are unable to determine whether the image would be better with or without out the big dry leaves, then send the image without removing the leaves and see if it gets accepted. If it does get accepted then wait 6 months and see how often the image has been downloaded and see if you are happy with the amount of downloads for the amount of time spent on it. If the amount of downloads fall well below your expectation then it would likely not make a massive difference by removing the leaves, more likely that your image is not in high demand. The point is, focus on minimising pp and sending as much as possible.

I would clone out the pavilion as it distracts from the dry leaves.

Yeah DT are really funny, when I look at how my sales have dropped over the years I laugh so much. You gotta love em!

...DP hasn`t shown its nasty face yet. They even paid for uploads.
Are you referring to Deposit Photos or was that a typo? Deposit Photos has an abysmal track record of saying one thing and doing another. The Shotshop mess being a prime example, but the various schemes that offer people preferential search placement if they upload their portfolio (which is inherently a scam as they keep offering it and you can't have a preference for all the contributors you sell that line to) and cutting royalty rates while they raised prices.
That face looks pretty nasty to me
jeepers creepers! Is it that english is not my native language or do you people just not read properly? I AM TALKING ABOUT HISTORY!!!!! BACK WHEN DREAMSTIME AND DEPOSITPHOTOS OPENED YEARS AGO. NOT TODAY! The shotshop debacle was years later as well as their lies.
If you read the original thread I was telling my "carreer" of switching from one agency to another as a buyer. I switched to DT as a buyer around 2007/2008. That is a year and it happened in the past . One attribute of things that happened in the past is that other things happened afterwards Not sure how I can make it more clear loool
It's ok even native English speakers make mistakes. It would have been a lot less effort for you to just correct yourself instead of ranting needlessly, but some people prefer to rant at others than correct themselves. Allow me to correct you. Your sentence should have read like this. DP hadn't shown its nasty face yet.

I wrote about this a couple of years ago, as the stats were quite revealing. I used the term Getty Images though instead of just Getty. This is the post. http://www.microstockposts.com/agencies-whats-trending/The table at the top of the post keeps updating until the present day.

For contributors: "Money won't make you happy". Choose a stock agency that won't make you richer.

"Don't limit yourself. We w..." it's a reference to SS but can't tell what without knowing what the cut off part of the ad says.
The cut off text appeared when I hovered over, the full text is Don't Limit Yourself. We Won't. Stock photography that won't make you "shutter".

I don't think our commission is cut on ss for discounts they offer. Was it an On Demand download?

I just saw this fun little award schedule on Envato. If you sell $10,000,000 worth of content you'll be awarded with...
Author and their partner will be flown First Class to Melbourne, greeted at the airport by the CEO, and brought to the office to be greeted by the entire HQ team.
Author will have a desk at the office for a week should they choose to come in and work with the team at HQ.
The prize is working at a desk in an office. Just what every online worker dreams of.

Guys, I am still receiving, every day, notifications about new responses.
So far, there are 170 responses. Maybe I was not properly understood: the last 70 responses went into a black hole, because the free version only allows stats up to 100 responses.
Unless someone subscribes to Surveymonkey, 100 answers is the max we can analyse.
I think it is likely that new responses are from people new to this thread, as they would see the link to the survey and respond to the survey before reading this thread further. Might be an idea to update your opening post to say the survey limit of 100 responses has been reached.

I won't be opting out of EL's for the simple reason that in the 3 years I've been at SS, I've had 31 EL's @$28 and in the 7 years I've been at FT (with 15% more images), I've had 5 EL's. Even pricing my EL's at 70 credits (instead of my max 100 credits) of which I get 25% doesn't get them sold at FT. I'll take 'em when I can get 'em at SS.
I just pictured a banner above Jon's desk. "They'll take 'em when they can get em".

I would prefer not to get less than $28 for an EL, so I just opted out of Enhanced licenses on Shutterstock!

Hello everyone,
Unfortunately UltimatStock.com is now shut down and no longer operating. We appreciate your time and support throughout the life of this project. All content is deleted and removed. Best wishes, UltimatStock team
what.. who know what they did to your content..
They say the content is deleted and removed. On what basis do you have to doubt them?

That's really not good at all. I've been using his keywording site for ages and it was very very convenient.
There are lots of alternatives. One example, http://microstockgroup.com/tools/keyword.php

They used to give 50% royalties 365 days of the year. I would still prefer that.

My sister in law saw my picture (I do self portraits) in an ad for a visiting nurse service. I was pruning shrubs in the shot and the ad talked about how much better I was doing after my heart attack thanks to the visiting nurse. She shows this to another family member who complains "No one tells me anything! I didn't know she'd had a heart attack"!
ROFLMAO!!! Thanks, Jo Ann, for giving me a great laugh right before bedtime.
That cracked me up too.

Leave the feeling for a moment, i want to know which one of them suits better to microstock.
I would say categorically without feeling that this question can't be answered. There are microstock images with countless types of cameras. It's often about the photographer suiting to microstock not the camera.

It took me several attempts over 2 years to get on to ss . I guess the floodgates are open now. Please vote in the poll at the link below on why shutterstock made this move. Poll

The ratio of 35 cents subscriptions to the higher credit sales is rising - and it could just be perception, but as the images rise to the highest level I think the credit sales drop off. There are some, and they're great when they happen, but it's not enough to make up for the drop in sales volume.
Yes as the images rise through the levels the credit sales for the images drop off. My level 4 and 5 sales are pretty much all subs.

Kelly wasn't as bad as some of you hint. Din't have good communication skills, that's true. I think he left istock because he couldn't run it in his way.
No, he was moved to Getty then shortly after he left Getty to to pursue other interests. I believe his fate was controlled by Getty.

He did star in a leading role as Prince Kelly in a narrative I wrote. I'm sure his resume must seem impressive, but I wonder if 500px actually know about all the fond things we remember.

i know .... istock, would pay you when you close your account
No they wouldn't. Read my previous post. iStock is Getty and after closing my account, Getty still owes me about 45 bucks.
I closed my istock account in 2011 and they paid my balance. I closed accounts at Cutcaster and Crestock and they didn't pay the balance.
