Bonjour a tous !

Merci !

Newbie Discussion / General Model Release in French ???
« on: June 08, 2009, 10:31 »
Do you know if there is a general Model Release in French that is accepted by all Microstocks (the main ones at least)? I upload in the US but will go to France for shooting, so I need a French Model Release...

Thanks!

Crestock.com / To newbies: avoid Crestock!
« on: April 23, 2009, 08:47 »
This is my advice. They reject all your files at once, even the ones who are accepted everywhere else and they ignore requests to close account. I have asked twice to be removed and nothing happens, not even a reply or anything. My advice: avoid them!

iStockPhoto.com / Color paler on istock site
« on: April 20, 2009, 15:28 »
Hello,

I am completely new at istock and I have a question about the color difference seen on istock only. Even though the color of my jpg images look OK on my browser and in all the other micro sites, on istock they all look more dull and paler. It's weird to me because it's the internet and if it looks fine on my browser (last version Firefox), then it should look the same once uploaded...... but it doesn't. On all the other sites, the colors are fine.

Here a sample of what I mean

Anybody experiences the same problem?

Thank you!

Is there a way to opt-out of the "25 images per day" subscription? I don't see it in the settings.
Thanks!

Crestock.com / How to delete rejections?
« on: March 05, 2009, 12:40 »
After submitting 20 images at Crestock, I got them all rejected within 2 minutes and all for the same reason: composition... A pure non sense.
Strange that other agencies accept them. But anyway. Do you know how to delete the rejection? I just can't find it.

It's very strange and very annoying that there is no easy way to delete the rejected pictures (why would they want to crowd their server for?). I have send them different emails with questions that HAS NEVER been answered, so I am not expecting an answer from them.

Thanks!

Adobe Stock / Blue sticker on images?
« on: February 27, 2009, 11:20 »
Hi, I have re-upload some rejects because I wanted to donate them and now I have a blue sticker (or ball) next to them, but there are still under 'awaiting validation' among others that have a yellow sticker (but not donation)... hummmm? Anyone knows what it means?
Thanks!

Adobe Stock / Extended rf license...
« on: February 25, 2009, 11:59 »
Do you guys advise on clicking the 'Extended rf license'. Is it really worth it?
Do you do it for all the images or only for the less good or something?
Thanks!

StockXpert.com / Puzzled about posting
« on: February 22, 2009, 13:04 »
Hello,

I am uploading for the very first time. First I had to really dig to find my images (they don't show under the "my account, my images" ?????

I don't even know how I found them if I had to do it again! But my question is:
When I click on the image to choose categories, on the pricing table it say 'free for you'........ I am puzzled.

Normal or not?

Newbie Discussion / StockXPert question
« on: February 22, 2009, 12:52 »
Hummmm, I would like to understand something. I am uploading for the first time images to SXPert and I am a little bit puzzled. After I submit categories, I click on the image and I see the pricing table saying "free for you"  ???

Is it normal because there are under review or it's a glitch in the program? The site is VERY confusing...

Newbie Discussion / Do you make a living at this?
« on: February 18, 2009, 08:24 »
Is this your main income or you do this on the side?

The images are selling so dirt cheap that I am wondering if someone can make a living after all ... ???

Dreamstime.com / Rights management area
« on: February 17, 2009, 22:20 »
Do you advice to check:

- Increase Max. copies (I-EL)
- Web usage (W-EL)
- Print Usage (P-EL)
- Sell the rights (SR-EL)

 ???

I am submitting my images without checking any of these... Would I get a better chance to have my images accepted if I check these?

Is it really worth it?

Thank you!

Any idea why istock doesn't like recycling images? Anybody knows which company would accept them. They said: bad composition or subject matter is at the minimum level. The point is that you can't find these particular images on their site (I thought they would be of a value for them). I guess I am naive or something!

So, recycling and environment is not a subject to submit?

« on: February 14, 2009, 08:43 »
Hello,
Is there any trick to go fast on the process of choosing categories? I found it very time consuming and would like to know if someone has found an little magic wand or something.

Thank you.

Newbie Discussion / CanStock new upload question
« on: February 11, 2009, 17:45 »
Okay, I'm new... bear with me...

Nothing is explained clearly. I am uploading my files with IPTC data to CanStock. Now there is something that I am puzzled with:

There are 2 checkmarks underneath the button "Process Files":
- Auto Keywords
- Auto Categories

Is it going to be conflicting with the IPTC or not. I don't know what to do here????
Thanks!

Newbie Discussion / IPTC data
« on: February 10, 2009, 16:17 »
In your IPTC data, do you put more info than these 3:

- Description
- Keywords
- Title

Do you recommend to add other info?
I am completely new at this!

Thank you.

Newbie Discussion / A keyword question
« on: February 10, 2009, 13:49 »
How do you all handle the keyword management. Do you have to each time "copy and paste" all the info into each stock agency or is there a way that the keywords, file name and description are embedded in the file?

For example, if we insert the keywords and all info into Bridge CS3 in the IPTC Core, isn't it uploaded and recognized by the stock agencies? Or do we still have to copy and paste every time?

Thanks!

Newbie Discussion / CanStockPhoto question
« on: February 10, 2009, 12:38 »
I am new at this, and would like to understand. I have been accepted to upload to CanStock and have FTP my images. Now I don't find anywhere where to put the keywords or anything. There is nothing about my uploads under "My Account". I am very puzzled...

Anybody knows????
Thank you!
