Same story for me: I sell zero images on DT and 4 to 7 images per day (every day) at SS since day one! Same images. Go figure... I am puzzled...

They don't make it clear, huh? Well, I don't want to try.... About that?

Is there a way to opt-out of the "25 images per day" subscription? I don't see it in the settings.
Thanks!

Crestock.com / Re: How to delete rejections?
« on: March 05, 2009, 15:14 »
Here is what they said (at last an answer to a question I sent):

"If you send me the image IDs, I can delete these for you as long as it's not an unreasonable amount of images. No one can see the rejected images but you, so I'm not sure why you want to remove them."

So... basically they don't understand why someone would want to remove rejected images. I am just wondering why they do everything to keep them? Now I have to send the ID of each rejected ones, and if they are too many, forget about it. They keep them!

It doesn't make sense to me. It's my right to remove the rejections from their system, no?

Crestock.com / How to delete rejections?
« on: March 05, 2009, 12:40 »
After submitting 20 images at Crestock, I got them all rejected within 2 minutes and all for the same reason: composition... A pure non sense.
Strange that other agencies accept them. But anyway. Do you know how to delete the rejection? I just can't find it.

It's very strange and very annoying that there is no easy way to delete the rejected pictures (why would they want to crowd their server for?). I have send them different emails with questions that HAS NEVER been answered, so I am not expecting an answer from them.

Thanks!

Adobe Stock / Blue sticker on images?
« on: February 27, 2009, 11:20 »
Hi, I have re-upload some rejects because I wanted to donate them and now I have a blue sticker (or ball) next to them, but there are still under 'awaiting validation' among others that have a yellow sticker (but not donation)... hummmm? Anyone knows what it means?
Thanks!

OK, I didn't even see we could change the EL price. Well, but I can't anyway since I just started...
But I see the point.
Tkx!

Do you guys advise on clicking the 'Extended rf license'. Is it really worth it?
Do you do it for all the images or only for the less good or something?
Thanks!

Yes, it's very amazing, great for their clients but awful for photographers! I opt out from StockXpert, I have to see if I can change some of my settings on the others...
Thanks again!

Yes, I did, but couldn't understand why mine would be free. I thought I pushed on the wrong button somewhere. Now I understand the deal. Nice of them!
Thanks!

okay, only me with my password on my images, I see.

Now do you recommend to check the $30/per subscription download? It's such a rip off for photographer? Do you all do that?

Hello,

I am uploading for the very first time. First I had to really dig to find my images (they don't show under the "my account, my images" ?????

I don't even know how I found them if I had to do it again! But my question is:
When I click on the image to choose categories, on the pricing table it say 'free for you'........ I am puzzled.

Normal or not?

Hummmm, I would like to understand something. I am uploading for the first time images to SXPert and I am a little bit puzzled. After I submit categories, I click on the image and I see the pricing table saying "free for you"  ???

Is it normal because there are under review or it's a glitch in the program? The site is VERY confusing...

Isn't a pickpocket dressed like anybody else in the street, unrecognizable? Do you really think this guy can be in the metro or walking the streets without getting attention to him? He looks like Zorro! The dressing code doesn't convey the idea, I think it should have been much better with jewelry in his hand. This rather symbolizes a "robber", no?

Thanks travismanley and holgs!
That's the kind of info I was wondering about. I understand very well that no one can expect revenues right from the beginning, it's like any other freelance job...... Tough out there!

I can realize that, I was a graphic designer just a few years ago and purchased images between $50 to $600 for my company (it was heaven for photographers)... So now since everything is SO cheap, I was just wondering if there was someone in the world who made any living at this. I got chew up, man!

So, it's a $2/hour job then!

I guess, it's not a question to ask as some people are doing well and others not so well. It all depends of what you have to offer and the quantity you submit.

I guess...  :-\

Is this your main income or you do this on the side?

The images are selling so dirt cheap that I am wondering if someone can make a living after all ... ???

Thanks!

Lucky people who can buy images at 50 cents! When I was graphic designer (a few years ago), we couldn't buy anything decent for less the $50.... Time has changed...

Do you advice to check:

- Increase Max. copies (I-EL)
- Web usage (W-EL)
- Print Usage (P-EL)
- Sell the rights (SR-EL)

 ???

I am submitting my images without checking any of these... Would I get a better chance to have my images accepted if I check these?

Is it really worth it?

Thank you!

Any idea why istock doesn't like recycling images? Anybody knows which company would accept them. They said: bad composition or subject matter is at the minimum level. The point is that you can't find these particular images on their site (I thought they would be of a value for them). I guess I am naive or something!

So, recycling and environment is not a subject to submit?

Check if it's not CMYK or in 16 bit color...
