this happens all the time everywhere....in my opinion it shows only, that microstockagencys make millions but have small teams, otherwise this dramatical variations don't make sense to me.
In some month, belive me, you will post messages about the long time DR needs for reviewing. And some month more you wouldn't notice anymore, because...change happens.

All agencys change permanent, some bought some others, someone lower prices, some other invest in service and the last one in marketing. They all have only one target: to make the most profit out of the pictures we have to offer. They produce nothing, they have no financial risc, they only sell our benefit.

If someone gets 50-80% of the money he earns by my output i would expect it takes minutes to review my pictures. But after 6 years this is still a "new" business where people can behave like idiots and still make millions. This will change, for shure.

The change will happen faster if some of us wouldn't cry out "cheer" if bad service change into lightly better bad service.

I would tend to say: a portfolio what goes down in september looks like to be not on the needs of professional users. September is time to have more and bigger sales for printproduction and business needs.
As last year - 30% and more up in september in my earnings - as estimated.

I'm a microstocker by disposition.

well, i think "no reaction" is kind of agreement inside here.
I' think punching some girls just in the middle of their face isn't a good sign of equlity and acceptance.you're right, you wouln't have to, i do. Call me bad...oh, and please ignore me, nobody had done this until yet. Please do so.

Well..thank you puravida...please more at this kind...feel free
anyone else?

Okay, now we have to do a little bit of shadowboxing.....puravida prefer to be hidden and im present. Please be aware that i couldn't read her messages.
Only your reactions on my and her posts i couln't read.

how funny...did you have a problem to call my name, you should.
I'm smart. Only a little bit oversized in communication abilities. But in english, you have a good chance to engage me. You will loose, but...it will last longer because im not natural speaker in english.

And the problem is, you're not interested in image business, you're only interested in profiling yourself at microstockgroup. You can't win because....i would sell images more than you, a lot more, even if you offend me in a hunderet of years. And i would sell more then you, for shure.

Whats you answer infant?

I'm now going to bed.....but i'm ashamed of my bad english....

Have I said this? Wasn't my attitude. I'm just extremely critical about veer.

What i tried to say and whish to communicate was just, i don't see a different between veer an other established agencies. All the veer-hipe i read here doesn't look like to be fullfilled.

If anyone here whould behave like there's any other agency more, with same marketing, better image and more reputacion but at conditions like the almost existing big six....what means...they start late, they have a problem, they really need support by constributors but the behave like they could start in seconds to the position others take years....thats high risc, and it is not honest. But unhonest and not fair p(l)aying ist also any other agency.

any idiot like to follow a new idea.....if he had bad experiences with the old, even if it is the same crap in new clothes....sorry i'm german, i better sale pictures than argue in english.

Oh, and about the "you know it"...you didn't? Well i'm for shure Veer will rule it....for you especially....red carpet, fireworks, chicks and all of this...because they had done marketing at microstockgroup, had bought a third class agency, had flattered any living idiot online and now everybody who is online at veer is a hero.

They pay not more, they have a escape period, they are going down.....that's a real good reason to join until they have ever sold any picture at microstockmarket.

134
I had them only at FT, and typically on days with high value.
They're less than 1% per month...but depending on my value...it 's at the moment 2 packages of cigarrets, or 1 meal, or 2 beers a month.
I'm angry about this, especcialy because it happens always on my best selling days, when i look every minute at my sales. What - i think - is the opposite of the intent.

But in any way, it's dull, because any agency should handle this problem and factor in this...because, if i gave away my pictures for such a low price....i wouln't  like to see or have to be involved in any kind of business-action like this.

If i'm just constributor, just a slave for value, if any agency earn a lot more than me on every sale...the smallest i had to expect is, they support me, and never ever tell my about risc and problems in accounting a client.

If not, and there's a problem at Ft and SS at the moment, agencies haven't understand why they earn that much. If Agencies have a problem with customers or financiel agnecies- that's their problem. Their job and the reason for their profit....
If they didn't had understood this little...well, far away and good luck.

loosers always gave a new horse most of their hope.

instead of...you know it....

136
But FT is fair, they only take backdrops if dailysales are high. Appears to me as a sign of high level kind of thievery.
My respect: they learn. That give me hope that they - one day in future - will treat constributors as they should be handled, like an annoying kind of crap on their sole.
This will help to shrink prices, earn more and reach the top.

what do you expect? First movers are allways test-dummys. Whatfor is all the time they spend on microgroup until launching? Did you expect it's for your support and comfortable?
You help them to build an microstockagency for less...if you and veer are ready...people who know how to profit on this, will earn.
Like me - (just to glorify myself- as puravida would say)

I would install an IQ-test in front of any constributors upload.
Most of constributors never ever read and understand what they agree to.

Then i would paste and copy some of the threads here and on some other microsites to show the constributors who failed why this was a good idea to protect them from thereselfs.

Afterwards, i would like to give them a little introduction in marketing, advertising, copyrigths and customer sattisfiying...but, thats just for my own fun because nobody would read this anymore after beeing thrown out.

General Stock Discussion / Cooperation account
« on: July 13, 2009, 21:48 »
Did anyone have experiences with cooperation accounts on any microstock site? I want to start a project account with an other illustrator. We both will cooperate and build images where both of us do some work and put them together in one image (more images naturaly).
I've seen such cooperation at IS but there's no "official" statement on and about this kind of work to find.
I also looking for some photographers for cooperation in this way.
Anyone here who have to say something about this case?

Well, i know, you have thougt about this and now you would like to talk about this case you never have done. Maybe you can read here about this whitout telling anyone your big ideas and people who have experiences in this can tell something more, thanks.

142
But, it will be 2 month...that's less than DT but more than some other, to be exactly 2 month more.
I'm really really strained on all of this veer hipe. Looks like they extending any terms of the competitors near to the max, but second behind the worst case.
If they sell like hell, or second i start uploading.

143
Buyers search images and not agencys. Still uploading at StockXpert, still it takes hours until review, still 100% acceptance and still sales every day. ...and still i'm glorify myself, if someone ask for it.

And still I'm into this: microagencies behave like blind persons. Anyone, nobody knows who, start anywhere at any time with the idea images have to be cheaper to gain sales. This idea was well, but it depends on licened images what can/could cost between 10.000 or 1.000 or 400$ depending on their use. Between 100 or 10 or 1 or 0.10$ there's no difference for advertising buyers. Maybee ther's a difference between 100 or 10$ for 10% of buyers but ther's no difference between 10 or 1$ and for shure no difference between 1 or 0,10$.

IS reject my images for good reason, they want to have them perfect. Therefor they offer me to pay me well and offer me a lot of buyers. StockXpert accept all my pictures and pay me well because my images are not perfect. StockXpert pay me less. But, that's a real natural way this business should go. If i take more time to do my pictures good enough for IS, i would be earn more but have to take more time do improve them. I don't see why Getty should close StockXpert. It's a good concept, if microstock will dissolut macrobusiness, IS is the market leader. For images what are cheaper and not on this level StockXpert is the second trade. But, changing trades from photos.com from StockXpert to IS was an error. They will be revoke this soon. Because it will damage the reputation of IS.

On every image i have to decide if it is worth for the complicate and high level orientated process to slip at my IS portfolio or if i just take the easy way to go at StockXpert. Most StockXpert is the winner, because i'm lazy....or, let me say impatient. And don't tell my there's a difference between an illustration or a foto. Waiting for a better light, walking around (don't use the zoom),  return to the location at a better time and weather, change the models, change the cloth, change the light...perfection is allways a matter of patience (if know-how is your problem, don't measure with the pros)

Adobe Stock / Re: My Account Blocked - Help!

how bad.

145
Just started an excelsheet today because i'm testing some different agencies in the future to optimize the efford for uploading and keywording.
I'm on Microstock since 12 month, its my first anyversary today.
My RPI is yet at 3,2$, with roundabout 1200 images online (illustrations, no photos).
But i think it is right, to gain more earnings i have to accept lowering in RPI. But i split my portfolio i two parts: pictures for best RPI agencies and images for all the rest who sells most at subscribers. Because customers who pay less should get less.

And best and better artwork should go to midstock agencies next time...because micros lower the RPI at any change they do. Thats stupid, but if they need to ruin their own success, that's the same old well known game of most rookies in a new business.

@ pixelbytes

you try to tell a joke, aren't you? Any agency is full of pictures that are copied of the copie of someones copy of a picture what sells. Anyone who is interested and have a little experience in what the prices of any agency are can do a roundabout calculation  what each picture have earned...but here, at this community, between people who share more or less the same profession its better to gave no one facts?  This remember me at my times as startupconsultant, a lot of rookies whos biggest fear is that someone could understand what their idea was....if an idea is that easy to copy and no profession, no talent und no knowhow is necessary to copy it...its a worthless idea. When somebody reaches with a picture more than 100 sales, 400-1000 people had a look on it, leastwise 20% of them are no customers but competitors who decide if they can do it at the same level or better. But "here" is the best place to hide information...well, kindergarten.

If puravida is a guy i would guess he's gay. But i had no information about this...maybe it is hidden because someone could copy it.

@ melastmohican

I had a look at you portfolios. I'm no expert in travel and editorialstock but i know people who earn a lot with pictures like yours. The quality is good (not best) but you're completly wrong at microstock agencies in my opinion.
Try alamy and try macroagencies for travel and editorial. You will earn a lot more, no, you will earn what your pictures are worth of. There will be no compare to that what you get at microstock, because it's just the wrong marketplace for your pictures. You don't have a quality problem, you are just at the wrong place. Didn't anyone told you this before?
You can/should also send a selection of your pictures to different hotelcompanys PR-adresses. They are allways interested in travelling photographers to invite them if new hotels at interesting locations will be openend. Don't forget to send a selection of pictures at traveling magazines.

@ click
if pigs dig and rage in my garden i can close the patiodoor or i chase them out. I'm a newbie here but it's the only place i know to communicate about this business. I came in nobody sayed hello, but somebody pissed on my leg. Okay, i'm long enough in communication business to handle this, if not i'm not worth my daily rate.
...and i take it personal because thats the fun at this game :-)

147
also a lot of strokes on your head, ghostwyck. (means in german to fondle/cuddle someone)
How many of you are here? Is this a community for sacrificed people?
Did i get something wrong?

@ click
with 1300$ a month i could have a living in a lot of countries around the world. If i'm good i can make me a living here where i stay. Means, 5000$ a month.
...and i haven't a problem with hiding i have a problem with posts that looks like information but are senseless. If this is a community for egopostings, much text, no info, it's time to use this for my own egogames :-)

I'm better in egoposting than in microstock....

148
If somebody can have a look at your pictures and the more information he can get the more he can learn. Any creative business is complex, but creative people also have to be and have to think in a complex way to be successfull. If not its just like playing lottery. Only the lucky one will earn but nothing else than luck decides on success.
I don't think so.
What you say is: there is no way and no need for any information. So what is this community for? Crying and moarning?
There's no jackpot for some lucky few, nowhere. It's hard work, like anywhere else. But it is the work we like to do, more or less. It's better than washing cars.

...and what do you call success? (that bad fact question). I do microstock between freelance jobs. Any sale ad on my normal profit. I'm happy with this and i don't spend 18 hours on it. If it would throw out 30.000$ a month, maybe i would for some years. How's your output for 18 hours a day in the month?

You're in communication business and you tell me facts are not necessary? How funny is this? Okay, you want to hear the following: you are a brave good fotographer, you do everything right, you work hard, you do a lot of clicks every day. Its a bad bad world and you haven't deserved to work that hard. Customers should have more mercy with the hard work you have done...

149
Why is anyone that shy to share numerary of income?
Does this get anyone deflections?

Oh...and because of the special someone who will be the fisrt to ask....i do roundabout 1300$ at the moment, started 12 month ago, and i'm attached to this since 5 Month, still uploading.
But i expect a jump of income on end of august because i don't have any sommer, holiday-images.

Don't you think that all information without fact are just useless. Am i wrong? how usefull is a chart with numbers of images without numbers of earnings? If you get 100 or 100.000$ with 3K images does make a big different - even if you wouldn't belief, it makes sense to have this information.

...just read a post where someone cryed out for information and solacion because he sold one image less than last month. What kind of community is this or should it be?

I think its usefull for the one who lost this one sell last month but also for the one who count their sales in hundrets. But if you want to differ, it's necessary to speak in facts.

...and for puravida who called me gloryfiing myself last time i spoke in facts: there're always in every thread all around the world and at every topic (from microstock up to prostate-issues) two ore more women who have the ambition to controll any thread. I respect this need of control and egotism, please igniore me i would like to change information with other intrested and involved people. Thanks.

I agree with: FT accept nearly all what is called vector, but sales are bad. Also agree to your point that this depends on "non-zoom-function". Fotolia management never understand what a vectorimage is. They tried to improve vectorsales but it seems like nobody told them what a vector really is. Same problem as most photographers have.
But if you don't understood your product you can't sell it....salesman-wisdom first lesson.

Istock also accept all my vectors but ...still leveled at AI 8.0 i prefer most to pimp them up and sell them as pixel-images at FT.
