General Stock Discussion / Re: Fotolia Rejections
« on: July 09, 2012, 21:06 »
Most interesting is: if one reject all, the next accept them all. In summary i have 1-2% Images what never get placed at any agency ... and i would say: 5-10% of my images havent been uploaded anywhere ;-)

27
How funny, after selling half as normal, now DT wants some unknown Software to upload any new images....
My Firefox ist up to date, my Safari is uptodate, my Apple system is uptodate  BUT DT is far away in the future.... they recomend somting what is unknown in my simple updated world of software.

28
DT was allways a book with seven seals to me. Strange selection, strange bestsellers but an interesting price policy.
FT seemed to me as not thinking about business. They started as a follower of IST and want to be buyedout since years. Now they're helpless because there's no one to follow and the Management wasn't buyed out from any investor.
What sucks because they had a good chance and, maybe by accident, a good concept. But FT is dying, faster than any others. Because they wont know what this business is. They hate it and behave also.

Adobe Stock / Re: FT rank
« on: June 01, 2012, 20:56 »
My rank is stable or going better, only downloads and earnings decline ... take your own conclusion.
Rank overall between 300-400 still going higher, downloads and earnings decline between 10-20% each month, since 1,5 years.
If this trend continue i will be first with no earnings :-)
That's FT logic

Don't mind FT rejections...they're all senseless. Next day another inspector accept the pictures. You only have to find out which of them is on what day activ.
Some prefer natur pictures, some technical, some people. Monday is in general no good day for photos.

31
Same here, bored and frustrated. Saw my pictures on boards with big campains all around meanwhile, but I need 800 Images a year to keep the same income. Inbetween I do more thougths about the agencys strategie and whichever will me fool next, than about good new pictures.
I think Shutterstock will rule the market in the next 2-3 years. If they continue growth since the last 3 years I go there exclusive. They gained to be my second best earner with 1/3 of the pictures and half of them rejected material.
FT and IST stiffle on their greed, DT has a strange rejection policy, 123 had a chance but pulled the trigger to their head with one year announcement.Deposit was to cheap, Veer had the mouth to full and can't deliver. Bigstockfoto sails without any direction.

If any of them would "RAISE" commissions it would be like an earthquake, they all knew someone has to ... but they are all tailless arseholes.
I bet SS will be the first!

FT was sold to an Idiot investor, who payed 300m for the half of noting. From now on FT will do nothing more.
There was never any other target than to sell the company.
FT is death.

FT is going to death ... and i help them. No more exklusive pictures, and any picture what is ressetet to 1 credit go to all other Agencys.
They wont it, they get it.

I can't dump FT. I started there and it is a heavy work to eleminate them. SS helps a lot more than expected.
But i expect FT will die faster than i can relocate my images.

Huh?!
I dont have or dont know where it is
Overall rank and 7 days:???

I have only
Absolute 1260 and
Relative 930
which is under my User ID in left column
I don't know why but I think maybe people with european accounts (or something) don't have the 7 day, and overall rank.  Theirs says absolute and relative instead.

I do have out of germany. Overall 357 and 7 days 458.

General Stock Discussion / Re: Fotolia Survey
« on: May 04, 2012, 22:04 »
First they throw out all members with opinion out of their forum, then they spend money on sending surveys with the money they get by cutting commissions from the members with opinion. Great Deal.

General Stock Discussion / Re: Thinkstock fraud
« on: April 19, 2012, 22:48 »
be informed wise guy - once upon a time thinkstock was "stockxpert" and some of us still have there pictures from this time and a special deal with thinkstock.
I call it thinkstock because it is named thinkstock.

I said "exact" a two digit number of sales (near three digits) and also exact a two digit income. Three month in a row.
But if i'm the only one, okay, than it is only funny.

DT owns the abillity to reject bestsellers and also make some profit out of nonsellers. That made me sometimes speechless and sometimes i wish i could tell them how much profit they had could earned by another policy, but they are Dreamstime ... different.

General Stock Discussion / Thinkstock fraud
« on: April 16, 2012, 19:00 »
Third month in a row, thinkstock offers me the same quantity of pictures sold and the same earnings.
We all know that this is impossible.
Anyone else who detect the same?

43
Nearby, the group of 10-20 bestsellers are the same at the big 5, but some of them havent made it to my potfolio at them :-)

Newbie Discussion / Re: How to improve visits in fotolia
« on: February 29, 2012, 17:30 »
My acceptance rate is still the same... and it was and is good. But for what? New pictures are not selling.

45
sometimes something had to be done. Even and also at microstockbusiness.
Some Illustrations of me will never pay out, not in hundred years....
But they have to be done.

maybe the shift is more foundet in that business is more and more getting closer to production.
Clients behave later because advertaising agencys gave them more room for decisions.

Not in this business, the idea was there, but the investors are still lost.

as i tried to say...it looks so easy to know it better. Anything in life behave like waves. Pictureagencymanagers don't look at the conclusion between constributors and profit...
but the conclusion is so near someone will find out.
Then the wave will break.
We saw People who gained more than a workerincome by shooting freshfruits on white. People on TV-Shows who told us about shooting without no equipment and no experiences hat makes this a living.
Now...at 0,09 cent for an image what needs to shoot, needs Equipment and light, needs a model, needs experience, needs to be attend to, needs to be keywordet...
Best selling picts at all agencys are not done by hobbyists...
And the Bestperformers all over the world don't fill a agencysdatabase. It's the middleones, by the way also a problem of all politics worldwide.
