StockXpert.com / Re: How is StockXpert doing for you?
« on: February 11, 2007, 04:21 »
Stockxpert is still doing well for me.  A long way behind shutterstock and istock but one of the best of the other sites.

I like their high rejection rate.  It makes them stand out from some sites that are filling up with low quality images.  I am amazed what some of the sites will accept.  Must be a pain for the buyers going through all that junk to find something worth buying.

Stockxpert is the easiest site to upload to, apart from the sites that have no sales and they have fast and high quality reviews.  Several times, they have spotted errors that have not been noticed by other sites.

My sales did fall when I stopped uploading for a while.  I think they are like shutterstock, if you keep uploading, the downloads are good.

LuckyOliver.com / Re: Lucky Oliver upgrade.
« on: February 09, 2007, 05:03 »
Either paypal of moneybookers would be fine for me.  Every other site offers these options so I think there is no excuse for Lucky Oliver.

I would upload my 2,000 images if they sorted this out and offered at least 50% commision.  At the moment, it just isn't worth the effort.

It just came back after I made that post.  Typical ::)

Still no paypal option.  How hard can it be to set that up?  I am not giving them any more photos if all I can get is a US cheque.  Too much money goes on bank charges in the UK.

Lucky Oliver has been closed for an "upgrade" for over 24hours now.  Seems like a long time, most sites can sort that out in a few hours.  I just hope it comes back with a paypal payment option and some customers :)

I am starting to upload to them.  The site looks great and they have no photos from where I live, so my photos wont have much competition :)

This one of Nelson's Column has no ratings and zero downloads.

I can help with the lightbox, if you need another person.

I only seem to get sales after an upload.  Hoped they would be nearly as good as istock but not so far.

Thanks for the info.

My best selling photo so far has made $15.  Haven't had an EL yet after just over 3 months doing this.

How do you work out how much a photo has made on istock?  I have stats for sales but can't see how much individual photos have made.

I am still getting a new upload rush.  I had a couple of low sales weeks last month, so perhaps the dips and peaks are to be expected.  There was a day last month when I had very low sales and other people were saying it was their best day.

My SS sales have been great in October.  I have been uploading all the time and I am sure that helps.  This week I have averaged 50 downlaods a day with 650 photos in my portfolio.
