I don't have any luck with Fotolia. They are always rejecting photos for inacurate reasons or over abundant photo's. I just recently uploaded two photos that were the pretty much the same in nature as one of the photos that sells the most on there and they were rejected. I can't figure them out. Can you delete an account before your FIRST payout, or do you lose that pay if you decide to delete the account? Does any one know. I personally think you should get it since it is your earnings but then they are weird so I really wonder. I'm at and have been at $46.00 for proubably 6 months now and don't look for any increase any time soon. It's the only agency of the big six that doesn't sell and I've even continued to upload to them just like the rest. I think they bury you in the pile if you don't have a good rank, which makes one wonder how they are ever going to get up in rank when they do that. They should be more helpful to those who make their living for them because if it wasn't for us they would be in the bankruptcy pile.

Got the same email today. Here was my response.
Thank you for the invitation, but I signed up with your site last June. At that time I uploaded the twelve highest sellers from my 'impressive photos' and I have yet to see a single sale. Please don't hesitate to contact me again when your marketing efforts are up to speed.
Well I think I'll pass on this venture then...especially after looking at the photos they have on there...some sell for 10.00 and some sell for 149.00 and up. The quality of photos really isn't there for being a midstock company like that. Thanks to all of you for the heads up...

Whoops...they are a macro stock site....I registered just to see what their pricing was since I couldn't find it in their info about joining..Some of the shots on there aren't very good at all...Maybe I ought to join just because mine are better... I really wish these sites would have their best selling images on display or the most downloaded so it would give you an idea what kind of site they are.

Any one here ever heard of StockPhotoPro?? I just got a second e-mail from them wanting me to join their site but I don't know any thing about them. Just wondered if any one here has had any experience with them...good or bad??

Question for ya Leaf...I submitted several different images to the lightboxes yesterday...of course I kept getting that error message about the banner thing...I just went under iStock and copy and pasted it to the photos I wanted on there then saved. I didn't come back here and do it because I kept getting the error messages even after I had already done it....wouldn't that way work also?? I would think it would, but thought I'd ask anyway. I haven't seen them on there yet but I figured it took a day or two to get them to show for public view.

Yeah I just figured that one out...went to do it and 10 of the pictures already had made it through to approved...I thought they had disappeared, but went on another computor and found them under my studio and went and editied the pricing there...it still shows the 2.50 price on them though...so maybe that is a good starting price...we'll see...just hope they sell.. Thanks for the help

Thanks ...hopefully I can go back under the pending file and reedit these. So far I've only got 17 uploaded and edited...I've got 15 more waiting to be edited and getting ready to upload another 15...I guess after they get approved ...if they do ...then I can go change to let them do the pricing also... Thanks again..

Nope these aren't exclusive...they sell on other sites...this is the first time I've ever put photo's on a pick your price site so I don't really know what is a good starting price... if you let them pick the price, what do they usually start out at??

I'm editing these photos I just uploaded to Cutcaster....I'm putting the starting price as 2.50 on non people pictures and 5.00 on the people shots....Does that sound right?? let me know if I need to do it differently.. Thanks to all

Oh I'm so ashamed to even list my rank.... Overall rank : 12400 7 Days rank : 8340 I really have no luck with fotolia. I haven't even gotten to my first pay out and I've been there for 2 years I think...maybe three...don't remember. I guess I don't have the right style. I do fairly good at Big Stock, Shutterstock, Dreamstime and Shutterstock...but not Fotolia. Alot of my popular selling files at the other ones Fotolia rejected so that may have something to do with it also...oh well.

I just got them to delete my account this morning..they answered very swiftly to that forum post but none of the other's where I ask and ask why and why....I consider myself lucky that I just joined about 4 days ago and after reading all the negative feedback and getting treated like a ghost on their site...I decided I didn't want them to make money off me and then go belly up and keep my earnings...I'd be very careful with these people if I were you.....I don't know if there is anyway to find out about their financial records....hopefully maybe someone on here has some law background and maybe can tell you what your next step is....

Got the e-mail saying they deleted my account...I haven't been back on there to see if I can even log on yet, but I am glad it got deleted...
My biggest concern with this company...which I really wish I had researched it first before I went through all the trouble of uploading 300 images that sell at other stock sites....is their financial situation. I could see if they were a big macro site company some of the reason for rejection, but for a 25 cent site they really can't afford ro be that picky or they will go belly up. I'm really beginning to wonder if they aren't just a tax write off for some investor the way they treat their photographers. Has any one ever questioned them about their financial records???
I know I am glad I'm gone even if it was just a three or four day experience...before I join any more new ones I'm gonna do the research.....any newbies that you'd recommend anyone??
I'm already on iStock, Shutterstock, Big Stock, Fotolia, Dreamstime and just joined StockXpert, Canstockphoto, 123RF and also a Fotmind which I haven't fininshed uploading to because I can't figure out how to attach the Model Release...it seems it won't let you untill the photo has been approved..which if you didn't go back and check for approval it would be sitting there approved without a model realease attached.
Anyway I'm open for any advice about good new ones.

Let us know when... if... they respond to that!
Woke up to find an e-mail from them requesting conformation of cancellation of my account....not even a sorry to see you go...or I wish we could have worked this out....nothing,,,which is fine. I e-mailed them back so we'll see how long it actually take to get my portfolio off there. I did notice they have deleted that post on their forum blasting their management. Any of you out there that use Crestock I would be very wary with the way they do business...I would really be afraid of their financial standing with the rejection rate they have...some of the ones that are on line I really wonder how they got there. Good luck to the rest of ya...I'm going to keep with the good ol tryed and true....istock, shutterstock, big stock, fotolia and 123RF.

Thanks for the advice.....I just put this on their forum and so maybe they will actually cancel my account...
"I can't seem to get any answers from anyone at Crestock so hopefully you can tell me how to cancel my account. I don't know how you think you are going to survive this economy with the way you reject photos with nothing wrong with them. I actually resent one of my rejects with a different file name and it got accepted...two other's I fixed the problem then you said they needed better lighting.....well sorry to say people but these shots sell on other stock sights and I want them deleted from here....I'm actually afraid that when and if they do sell here...you won't be able to pay because of you're financial situation.....so I'd rather not line your pockets......SO PLEASE CANCEL MY ACCOUNT!!!"
Think they'll take notice???

I've been trying to get answers from Crestock in their own forum as to what these new rules are and thought maybe if I post here someone will have an answer. I joined Crestock a couple of days ago...out of 300 that sell on other agencies only 27 sit in their approval bin....I started asking questions on their forum...then some of my approved images were deleted with this as the reason "Changes in our requirements with regards to technical standards and/or image resolution" can't find any mention of new requirements in their tech section so I e-mailed and ask on the forum and so far nothing...I'm beginning to think this site is made up of beginner inspector/reveiwers...their reasons for rejection are totally beyond me... Here's one of my rejects.....
