Think we are making an impact?
This should only add fuel to our fire!

52
Who cares what it is ... all SS cares about is that people are dumb enough to support them

If DT wanted to do something useful, they would lower their minimum payout.  With all the competition, $100 is too high.
WAAYYYY too high
They should switch it to $25 with the volume of sales they produce

I will not boycot SS.

We are hitting a global economic crisis, worse than the Great Depression.

I accept, that the value of my images may drop to 10 cents.

Right now my earnings did not change. I am level 5.

Good for you
Glad that 2 weeks into the changes, your earnings have not changed

And thank you for starting this thread - very thought provoking. Maybe things will turn around for the rest of 98% of us who have experienced a huge drop off.
Probably just an anomaly.

Heres an idea. Instead of playing games, just go to Shutterstock and delete your images.

BINGO!!

Hahaha, I will stay in ss because I need money. 8)

but yes and small amount compared to the total amount he owns

Let's point out the his quarterly dividend is 2,755,658.18

Its never enough

Fun fact about Shutterstock 2022:
After a very difficult year 2021, due to the departure of most of the contributors, the company is forced to close its doors...

Highly unlikely - although at this point I wouldnt mind it to come true

They will still be profitable for a long, long time And will wring out every penny TIL the last one

59
I can easily shot 15 images a day. At 60 bucks per shot that would be 900 per day....Not a bay day rate...Sign me up...

That isn't the deal though, is it. They want to pick only the ones they want.

Can't compare apples & oranges.

Let em shoot 15 a day for $900
Easy peasy
If life were so easy to figure out

Nice how Ss only removes those three
I guess they do tolerate theft

61
Theyre afraid of accepting images that might contain Covid :P

Ive emailed them about this but no reply
Lousy customer service, they dont care about contributers
Why is it that these glitches ALWAYS affect only the contributers ?

63
Theres only so many ways to increase profits - and its usually on the backs of contributers

SS messed up starting with increasing the allowable print run for a sub price and every move since then has been detrimental to contributers earnings

Every move

Looks like owners of Alamy took the money and run and couldnt care less what happens to contributers
I suppose we will find out soon enough

Hopefully they go down and all other sites like this that have cut commissions dont have sales and treat contributers as rubbish
Good riddance

66
Youre resurrecting a 13 year old thread?

I can understand you being a mouse and all, you would not like that image

That footage and editing is professional

Kind of reminds me of Warren Millers ski videos in some ways

This means with Getty out of the way the RM sales will fall into the laps of the agencies still willing to sell RM rights.
Even though RF has made a big time encroachment into the RM sales, there are still businesses that are willing to stay with RM licenses for some of their projects, and I think (hope) this bodes some good news for the likes of Alamy

Alamy.com / Re: Message from AY, need help to understant
« on: November 11, 2019, 15:47 »
I had inquiry before for images that are editorial because I dont have the copyright releases.
I said I would only sell the image if they explicitly in writing were willing to take on any legal consequences that would result from their use of the image fully.
They did not want to do that, and as a result I never sold the image in that capacity.

Just make sure you cover yourself and ask for it in writing

Run for the hills from this agency!!

I dont understand this site
I had a few submissions that had really stupid rejections a couple years back and havent uploaded since - actually hoping they would resolve this issue and I would resume uploading, but still is an ongoing problem from what I read
