There are 2 ways you can participate: you can either receive a 50% revenue split for exclusive images to PhotoSpin or a 40% revenue split for non-exclusive images. In both cases the copyright and the image remain yours, you're only licensing the image to us to distribute (as royalty free) to our customers on your behalf. Each revenue split is based upon the number of total downloads of your images per customer per month.

I sold a picture of a beach fir $171. I get 60%. Nice. I have not been uploading to Alamy as I have been really busy on another venture. Maybe I should start uploading again.

About those smiley faces... are you, or anyone else with yellow smileys in your port, concerned about copyright aspects of that iconic image? Apparently it's a hotly contested image right now (here's just one example for further reading ... http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/business/4984138.stm ) and I think some of the sites are playing cautious and not letting new smileys in and sometimes going through and removing old ones from ports. Anyone else seeing this happen?

I remember about three or four years ago an employee from a small site was uploading our pictures on other sites claiming them as his own. I cannot remember the name of the site, they didn't last long once he was rumbled. It was an Eastern European site I think. It is driving me mad now trying to remember that name!

I have been uploading to the recently, and it is a joy to do! This is what uploading should be, just send the images to them and they do the rest.
I had a couple of minor queries, and they answered my emails promptly and dealt with my queries very efficiently.
I really hope this site is a winner.

I have had eight sales on Deposit photos, six of them subs and a large and extra large sale. I was paid very quickly for my initial upload. I am still uploading. I have had a few dodge rejections, for similar were they are not similar, and for faulty isolations on shots that are not isolations, but most shots are accepted quickly. I have had a good month. Not the best ever but a lot of EL's boosted things. I am 30% up on December. and 20% up on Jan last year.
SX tanked, but Fotolia flew.
The surprise of the month is Deposit photos with three nice sales and a payout, and I only started uploading there about three weeks ago!

I am an accountant during the week. At weekends I enjoy walking (The mountains of Wales are visible from my back door), cooking and reading. I spend far too long on the computer, I love RPG's. Dragonage is my obsession at the moment.
When I am not working I love traveling. I am trying to walk in stages around the coast of Britain, photographing as I go.
