I read somewhere that a good ratio is
1 image = 1$ = month. (I suppose big 4).
Just a target, not an automatic rule. Exept a Yuri clone or similar

When you think its betst time to upload seasonal photos. For example is good time to upload christmas at this time? SS is a referent for me and  I've noticed there some "christmas files" or so, are purchasing on these days.

There any agency that accepts footage from IPhone camera? I mean not newsworthy footage.

I'm not sure but exclusivity means also not sale no more in other site (you said SS,IS) included similar shots or same subject in diferent positions. Someone know about that? :(

Hi, looking for an answer  through Alamy forum I can't find the way.
Time ago I submit a few files like RM just to experience and no sales there.
Now I want to change them to RF. I can't managed. Is the way delete them and resubmit RF? Does anyone have an idea?

General Stock Discussion / Re: Rough shadows from paper
« on: July 10, 2013, 10:45 »
Hi
In the last time i use to be in front of the computer more time than I use to do on studio set.
This is my way:
Clipping path is the item.(do not fear)
I shot with a white parer background with a curve and so.
I make one shot with a exactly exposure I need and I make an other one with one or two spots over or something like that(dont move the vamera). The over exposition I do whit two spots is just on light control not in he camera f.
I keep those two files like layers and them I make a cliping path on the right esposure subject. (when you do a lot of clipping paths you go fast and is usefull to add at your image reclaim).
I go with a new layer from the cut out object and I put between this object layer and the overexposure shot layer a new white layer. Then in this white layer i do a layer mask hide all. Then with soft very soft brush (in black) and with a soft opacity Im going up finding the shadow of the layer behind until the density that I want. You achieve a really white background (255-255-255) and the kind of shadow and degree you want.
You know, really is more dificult to explain it that make it. (please add that my english is not my mother language,I hope you'll understand). I'm used to and over time I'm pretty fast.

Time ago I tried to apply with no fortune (its not the "time" was the answer) at Trevillion Images.

Thanks for your help Shadysue,
I have just a Main collection in my port, no more. If I'm not confused opt in the E+ mean blocked those files.
This matter is working yet ?... I will check again the newsletter. (Sorry English is not my native language and sometimes I loose some concepts)
Thank you again!

« on: February 05, 2013, 03:28 »
Video sales on all sites.... Maybe this thread is out of this topic but I see you have experience about video and sales and you can help me. My grandfather was a good amateur filmmaker at the begining of last century. I have more tham one hour of footage showing urban cityscapes and costumary people (apart of glass plates and stereoscopy photos ). Which site do you think is better to offer it? Will be better to offering in a single batch? Thank you for your comments! and good sales!
