Hey, good to hear your files have been approved. IMO, they have the best earning potential among the middle tier sites, this year.

Bigstock.com / Re: Publising photos to BS is such a pain« on: April 12, 2011, 20:28 »Anyone shares such view? I think when you're just starting out, less is more. Concentrate on top selling sites and grow your portfolio by adding new and quality content. However, once you've grown your collection (probably in the couple of thousands at least), then you can expand your horizons to other sites just so you don't miss out on potential sales revenue. 55
Newbie Discussion / Re: Search results - which sites best?« on: April 12, 2011, 20:11 »
for illustrations, especially when you search using the "images" category at google, canstockphoto ranks very high. for some reason, clipartof are always well represented on the first page as well. And then the usuals, shutterstock, 123rf and istock.

I've done this before due to a personal emergency. i was out of action for 6 weeks between March and April 2010, no uploading at all. I am an illustrator and have been doing microstock since 2007. I have a large portfolio at IS, at that time about 2000 vectors and between 3,000 to 4,000 in the other sites. There was no drop in downloads and revenues. in fact, i was still able to grow by about 20% over previous year. i think if you are already established and have a large portfolio, you most probably have a regular clientele and stopping to upload in the interim would not dent your sales.

Print on Demand Forum / Re: Any experience with Zazzle?« on: February 20, 2011, 15:15 »I've been there 14 months, so it's not enough to give up the day job (if I had one!), and I didn't really know what I was doing for the first 6 months, i.e. putting photos on products and hoping they'd sell. It takes a while to find your niche, but maybe stock photographers (I'm not one) have a head start there. thanks for sharing. i guess being able to identify a market niche that is not fully saturated products will be a great benefit in any business. 64

just curious, when you reach a certain amount to qualify in the zazzle pro seller program, do you need to apply or is it by invitation?
I love Zazzle! 68
Selling Stock Direct / Re: AvidImages - your own library site, the easy way« on: February 17, 2011, 16:56 »
I've just finished uploading my library of niche illustrations in my own free site at avidimages. I have also changed it to point to my own domain name. The process is just so easy and the layout is clean and simple yet so professional.

Are we able to change the banner/header? i tried uploading my own banner (940 wide), but it doesn't seem to work. You need to refresh the cache your browser has, press Ctrl+F5 when you are viewing your site on a PC and i think its Command + R on a Mac. Thanks for the quick response. So far, this site is giving me good impressions with a clean layout and very easy to navigate. 70
