ScandinavianStockPhoto.com / ScanStock waiting queue
« on: October 02, 2006, 09:46 »
I uploaded a big batch on Sept.2nd.  A few of them have been approved, drop by drop, until Sept.29.  And then nothing.

I edited this post, because after having mentioned it a few hours ago, all the pictures are getting reviewed right now.  Which is a good sign.

123RF / Pending queue at 123RF anyone ?
« on: September 19, 2006, 12:56 »
Usually my pictures are approved the same day or the next.  Now I have had 41 pictures pending since Sept.8, and think that they may have been forgotten in a glitch.  Do you have a similar experience or is it still flowing as usual for you?  Thanks for any feedback  :)

LuckyOliver.com / LO in maintenance for upgrades
« on: September 16, 2006, 17:51 »
Funny message on the home page:

"Don't shoot!

You've caught us with our pants down.
We're doing some upgrades.
We'll be presentable again before too long.

Thanks, Bryan

LuckyOliver.com / Keeping track of pictures on LO
« on: September 15, 2006, 10:23 »
Is there a way to keep track of pictures on the LO site ?  I have had a batch of pictures accepted, probably yesterday or 2 days ago, and the admin forgot to send me an email about the results.  I just saw the pictures visible in the portfolio.  I couldn't find a place on the site to see if some were rejected, a few just disappeared.  Or did they ?  Is there a page which lists the refused pictures ?

Also, when a picture is sold, is there a way to keep track of when it was downloaded ?  Is the title of the picture the only reference given ?

I like the simplicity of the site, but more detailed info about the different statistics would be great.  Maybe there is one and I missed it ?

ImageVortex.com / Is IV freezing?
« on: September 13, 2006, 10:58 »
I have not had any pictures sold there yet, and most of the ones which are approved and doing well on other stock sites are not approved on IV along with this robotic ansswer - "This image does not look stock-like according to our style".  I still continue to upload, hoping that one of the 23 lucky pictures which have been approved will sell one day soon...

Up till now (I joined last March), the approval process was always the next day the latest.  But my last batch date is Sept.8, and it is still in the pending mode.  Very unusual.

Do you think that this site is having trouble?

General Stock Discussion / MSP no more...
« on: September 05, 2006, 16:59 »
After a few months when the site went into a ghost mood, even encouraging us lately to upload out pictures on other sites, I emailed MicroStockPhoto directly, wondering if they even had the desire for us to upload...  no answer.  This didn't prevent the admin to take off all the posts about the site news (it's blank now).  I wish that the owner John would have left us a little "thank you and sorry" note instead...  I checked the forum as a last farewell and saw a feeble sign of activity... from one of the photographers.  I'm quoting him:

"MSP is A Dead Parrot. It ceased to be. It's expired and gone to meet his Maker. It has been. It's deceased. It's an ex stock site. It's like the Norvegian Blue
<a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uYWA8DdVEw0" target="_blank" class="aeva_link bbc_link new_win">http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uYWA8DdVEw0</a>
. "

That video made my day  ;D

Well, my last activity was to empty my portfolio, one by one, just in case the site itself would vanish or be sold for its content...

Thank you for this short ride, and Farewell MSP :(

123RF / 123rf Notification results
« on: September 01, 2006, 09:47 »
This is the format email notification:

"Accepted: 3
Rejected: 0"

No references to either the batch nor the picture.  Very vague.
The last ones I received didn't change my pending numbers, so I think that the emails were mistakenly sent to me.
I wish that the message would be more specific.  I would prefer to receive an email for each picture result, like some other sites do, I find it very practical and easy to follow.
What do you think?
