I have basically taken 4 months off from stock shooting. Learning new skills like Machine Sewing. Going back to old skills of Soap Making and just being a Daddy. Now I am getting ready for spring to come into bloom and get shooting again. Even started sewing up a Custom Photographers Vest so I wont have to lug the Camera Bag around. Slowly getting a Etsy shop going as an outlet to try to make some money too. So, my time off was not wasted.  ;D

I think IS need the money to buy new Shovels. The old ones are getting worn out from digging that hole deeper and deeper.

BTW.. has anyone nominated Lobo  :D

It was a cluster F. I have not brought the 2 possible photos I got up on computer yet. For a Charity Org. running the event... they were pretty rude. I about told off one of the people trying to push me along as I was trying to get a shot of my Wife meeting her. Told her "Touch me again and I will consider it Assault and will defend myself in any necessary means to stop you." A Cop was right there and gave her a stare of "STOP". That was funny cause she walked off from me then.

Now I got Mike Huckabee (possible Presidential Candidate) coming in this afternoon but the Weather is crappy so I dont feel like going out.

Edit: She did drag her kids along for this...lol. I got a shot of 3 of them. One of the boys as he slapped the arm of a brother. Hmm.. which tabloid wants it...lol.

Apparently Kate from "Jon and Kate Plus 8" is coming to my small neck of the woods for a couple of hours. I have no clue as to why. I dont think she is dragging the kids along for this either. Have not done much shooting this winter so this might be a good time to break out the Speed Light and such. Other than shooting a small reality star.. I dont care what she does..lol.

So, if I get some good shot.... Alamy or Shutterstock editorial?...lol

Whats fun is that the US Contribs... who might have already had to do taxes with the money included that was yanked. How do you go about correcting that.. wait till next tax time? Would be interesting to see I.R.S. jump on and have a look at IS.

I am surprised that no one has posted in the IS Meet Up Section...... Like a specific address in Canada on  (pick a date)... just to see who responds to show up.  ;D

One last thing then I will stop. I read so far the 20 pages on IS Forums... 2 things I noticed.

1. Istock has shown no proof of CC fraud... report.. anything.

2. I did not see anyone ask for proof of it (I could be wrong and someone asked but I missed it.)

If I had over $500 taken from me... I would be calling up for some type of proof. Even at the least to let then know I was checking... just in case they might get the itch to say in the future.. "They dont check on us.. we can just call it CC Fraud"

If J-Lo can insure her Butt Cheeks against damage.. then IS sure as heck can have some type of insurance in place for this....but...why do that if they have all these people who they can just take the money back from the next month.

For people still submitting to IS.. how much further do they have to bend you over till you touch your toes?

On their end (IS) what are they losing money wise? You as the contributor lost not only the money you saw in your account but also the images that were dl'ed. Do you now  lose any respect left for IS?

and before a conspiracy theorist comes out with it...hehehe.. Maybe Getty needed money and is shrugging off blame to CC Fraud.

Fight Club: Tyler Durden: "Soap, I make and I sell soap."

I forgot I actually heard back on my Application. Yup, turned down. No big loss to me. Was waiting so long I was getting ready to tell them to remove my application anyways.

Lifes a Beach. I will have to check out the easycarddesigner thing later. Too much on my plate right now. I will say I like how ABC is running for me. So, just like the decision I made with Istock..  I didn't like the changes and decisions made..so I left. I am staying with ABC for as long as I like how they are running.

Canisters are there as time capsules, left for future Archeologist to discover. They will see a time when Istock shot each contributor in the foot and said "Sorry about that. Follow us but no promises we wont do it again."   ::)

I am kinda liking the mixture of hot and cold. I am a Flordanian refugee in Tennessee. We want to move here in the next year or two and looking for a city close to the same temps. and climate here. We short listed Colorado Springs, Co.. and still searching.

They do the same thing here with our paper.

Edit: Here is the link to my News  photos to buy site. I remember a few months ago they had it linked to a Smugmug Page.

I dont know if this is helpful or not but the Parade magazine that comes in the Newspapers here in the States uses a lot of stock images from various Agencies.

On the web you can look and tineye them here: http://www.parade.com/

So far I have found images from Alamy, Getty, Istock, Fotolia and SXC.hu (is SXC a free dl place?).

I have not found any of my images but maybe someone can find a tearsheet or use.

Maybe someone who has registered their Photos the "Legal and Proper" way can write something up and Leaf can make it a sticky around here. If other companies see this... I wounder if they would do the same and you really need to be able to protect your images.
