I have looked at their Keywording explanation page and I guess I am just used to the Micros way of placing them in one box. 2 Boxes for Descriptions.. I kinda got that. How to you break down the keywording into 3 different categories? I need a little help in this part.
Can anyone break it down for me or link me to a page that breaks it down a little better than Alamy?

Yes raster or vecor. Both sell well.
Got hold of Jamie in a Email and asked for some info on it. Gonna see how it works and works out. Thanks for sharing the info and you got a crapload of work on there don't you...lol.

Do they accept raster or just vector (which I am working on getting it down).

The upsizing I had already read about in here. I was just wondering more about if they wanted certain subjects like the Micros. Didn't see that so I asked but might be handy for someone else looking for answers too. I think I am going to stick to RM with Alamy since I got RF covered with the micros... hence Different shots for each. I know I don't have to but just a personal preference. Now it's time for me to go get some shots for my first attempt.

Hippy didn't hit one because I knew of Alamy since I journeyed into Micros. That site has also come up a few time in one of the Online Photo Boards I am on as a place to make money so its been on the back burner for me. I wont stop doing Micros so Hippy missed on that. Alamy will be alongside with different photos.
Still not sure if I even want to try out Getty.
Thanks Race. I am 37 so I have enjoyed 2 Record sizes... 8 Tracks .. Cassets... CD now MP3 and MP4. My first record was Snoopy vs. the Red Barron...lol. Wish I still had that for a Collectors Item.
Remember the Original DVDs? Laser disk as big (or bigger) as records.

I have signed up and now I am looking at the QC portion with the 4 test shots. What are they looking at for the testers? Quality. Saleability? Composition?
I basically going to keep images that I shoot for them separate from stuff I shoot for Micro. I want to expand my horizons without getting rid of what I am trying to do already.
I have read through this section on here so I see all the great info on up sizing and other things so more for me to absorb and learn.

Free Enterprise.
I'm free to make and sell my work to anyone I want.
Free Market.
I can sell my labor and products for whatever price I want.
The guy who asked this question supports price fixing and restraint of trade.
Thats about how I feel. Unless Someone wants to pay me the price they feel I should be selling for... then they can handle their work how they want. I will handle mine my way. Got to pay for food and Diapers somehow.

Of course we could all stop shooting for Micros to make this guy and others like him happy. Just put everything in Creative Commons on Flickr for Free. Bet they would stop B*tchin about Micros..lmao.

On a Forum I go to, a guy posted info about Micro Sites. Well, of course you got the killjoy who comes in and is all against it.
So My question is.. what would you say to a Person who states..
"I'm sorry, but there is nowhere that you can make 'money' with microstock
All you are doing it selling your work for a pittance and in the process lowing the value of photography in every other field.
If your photographs are good enough to sell, then you should sell them for the proper value and not like this."
I just made a Simple reply because past experience is it would be falling on deaf ears anyways... My Reply..
"Sell 50 Photos at $1000 or 1000 Photos at $50. If your happy at the way you make your money... Go For It.
No Matter which way you sell (Micro or Macro or Wedding or Auto.. ect.) there will be those who don't like the way your doing it.
Fen.. why don't you start a thread about Macro's to share your info? This section is about sharing knowledge on how to make money. I would love to know more about the Macros and what styles would work with them."
So..what would you say to him?

Just a question Jeff. How do they find the images to invite? I mean is it from the Commons area or do they snoop everyone's account for possibilities? None of my stuff on Flickr would be considered stock... maybe I should throw some stock style stuff in there.

I am on a Photo Forum and started reading their making money section. Seen little arguments about Micros being good / Destroying an industry type thing. So I started finding out more then set myself a challenge for S&G. Now I hit my little goal and want to keep going with learning and uploading.... so here I am on this forum . Small fry in a very big pond.

Good greif...you can actually print these out from a government web site...That's shocking...although they have the watermark's "speciman" on them, I'm sure some one could get around that.....heh just photoshop it!!
Printing out from Gov. website might be up to your printer. Bank Note Detection might be in the Software or Firmware. Dont ask how I know ...but I do have at least 4oo Euros to test shots with.

Guess I will show what I am throwing at them too. Stock worthy? I dunno. I just like them.

Just looking around IS.. here is someone who seems to have gotten their stuff on there. http://www.istockphoto.com/file_search.php?action=file&userID=509729I am going to try out 2 Rastered Images just to see if they reject them on IS. 2 that were accepted at other sites and have some views going. With SS, I have just failed my first application so I am wondering if I could / should throw some rasters in it next time?

Thats a little bent if your selling Artistic somewhere else, the stuff that IS wont take. Just like most say, Artistic is not Stock so whats the problem with trying to make money off stuff IS wont even approve. I guess IS somehow feels threatened by Redbubble... who knows. Oh well, not looking at being exclusive anyways. I want to make money where ever I can get it. I save Redbubble for stuff I think is Pretty and Artistic. Stock Shots go to Stock sites.

I am not a well off Yuri but on his Studio Tour he shows the Fake money (He could probably have enough for the real money shoots). So that has me wondering. Where do you get the Fake stuff? Maybe one sided templates of American and Euros that you can print out. I did try a Google search but only found one thing for American but "Fake" lettering over it would make it useless for the Shot.

I'm also wondering how safe it is. Perhaps we could monitor the network traffic while it's running to see which sites it is trying to contact. OK, this is engineer speaking out of me
Yea, I wish you could customize or add sites to it. As far as passwords, I didn't even think of that. Guess I just trusted Mozilla with them putting it up.

So far its working fine for me. I did have a little trouble getting it to log me into fotolia but I finally got it. The rest logged in fine. Right now it's just as useful as my bookmarks. Got to take some shots and try out the keywording and uploading part to see if it really useful and stays on my computer.

You might have a look at this Plug-in for it. Looks promising. http://www.picniche.com/This is my first post here so I figured I would add something hopefully useful instead of just hi. Yes, I downloaded it but just got to play and configure it out.
