I'll take a break from uploading to Photodune! All of a sudden hardly anything is being accepted, even proven winners that are still being downloaded at the other top sites! I also know how imagery is being used in layouts because my profession is Graphics Design for 30+ years!

General Stock Discussion / Re: Another way to sell your stock« on: May 08, 2013, 18:18 »True again, The more you invest in a business strategy the more earnings potential you have. In this case, if anyone wants commission off of device cover, and apparel sales with or without using their own images and don't want to setup that business model up themselves, this might be a great option.I'll give you a shovel for FREE to use as long as you excavate gold for me and I will be so nice (ON TOP OF THAT) as to give you a portion of the gold you dig out.Sounds like Microstock to me! 4

True, but the statement is about getting a FREE storefront! Not all storefronts that can be used to showcase your designs come free of charge. 5

General Stock Discussion / Re: Another way to sell your stock« on: May 08, 2013, 00:05 »Well, there is a lot wrong with your post. It's fair to say that if you aren't paying for a storefront that it's FREE of charge! Commission is paid out from the agency to the affiliate storefront. I understand royalty payments since I submit to Microstock agencies but I wanted to mention another avenue to those interested to generate income with their imagery. 7

General Stock Discussion / Re: Let's promote together "The best contributor friendly agency"! First time!« on: March 28, 2013, 19:24 »This could be an opportunity to get some of the low earners that pay the most a bump in popularity with the buyers. Imagine if Veer became a big player! I realized that this poll was about voting on "The best contributor friendly agency" and not about us deciding on what agencies we should help promote together to increase our sales. Wish that could be a goal! 9

More buyers would most likely change everything except the rejection policy. More buyers would increase sales which should enable Veer to increase their staff to run a more efficient business to benefit us contributors. I like the money the average sale generates at this site! 10

Dreamstime.com / any algorithym changes on Dreamstime« on: November 06, 2012, 14:45 »
Probably coincidental, but has Dreamstime made any algorithym changes lately?
Haven't had any sales there for more than a week which is unusual for me! 13
Dreamstime.com / Re: Has DT gone over to the dark side« on: October 22, 2012, 09:37 »The criteria for "best images" will always be controversial and if implemented will make most contributors mad because some of their images will be eliminated. But, bottom line, there are just too many useless images that have to be waded through when looking for something relevant so the only way the agencies can continue to make money, in their minds, is to cut prices. Something else has to be tried, but I have no answers. DT currently sends out a message to contributors that have old images with no sales in 3 years! Contributors can decide to have these images automatically delete from their port or be offered as a free image! 14

I only ever found one thing that worked, they jump quite nicely once you exceed 50,000 volts but they never seem to head for the other bowl and tend to have slightly singed fins and popped eyeballs which are difficult to photoshop out). Get a piece of glass, some Super Glue and stick the goldfish onto the glass! That should work! 15

General Stock Discussion / Re: Attracting more customers myth« on: September 14, 2012, 12:04 »
I had offered some free files to 123rf when I joined the site some years ago but it is the only site I've experienced where the free files might attract views! I seem to get sales when I resubmit (donate) free files on this site for a set number of days of my choosing and not much when I don't!
Maybe this site does alot of advertising with the free files! Your guess is as good as mine! 17

Adobe Stock / Re: Fotolia Purchases WiLogo« on: March 21, 2012, 08:01 »Do not want to rain on anyone's parade, but is this not how logo design has always worked on the internet? Logos have been sold this way through some agencies on the internet for some time but I think the crowdsourcing is worse now! The designer's chances of selling a design after creating it based on this business arrangement decreases. I only sell logo designs through my design business and the clientle steadily builds up through referrals! 19

General - Top Sites / Re: It's time to favor fair sites like 123RF and boycott greedy ones like fotolia« on: October 01, 2011, 17:03 »Social networks are good for promoting, but there is also other ways such as blogs, emails, etc. Agree! I always make the time to promote my business ventures and hobbies! Self promotion gives you control on how successful your ventures will be and you'll only get better the more you do it! The internet provides a lot of effective resources for online promotion. The more you showcase your work on the agencies that provide you with the best rate of return then the more exposure these agencies will get! No agency grows by itself! 21

I see that one of my suggestions came true!
I've opted back in! Good to see a company "really" listening and working with their contributors for the benefit of all! 22

Thanks,
I've actually found the email address to request my account termination! Should take approx. 30 days to complete! I'll be leaving! I've stopped uploading new images a while back but staying for 15% commissions will only strengthen the case for lower commissions at the other agencies I submit to! I'm not the best photographer around but I know the images that have been accepted have more value elsewhere than keeping them at this agency! 24
