Canva / Re: Negative earnings anyone
« on: June 17, 2020, 05:09 »
Just got a reply from Ana concerning those negative numbers:

Thank you for reaching out to us.

We are happy to see how the Canva Pro subscription have positively affected your total earnings. Unfortunately, since an additional amount was released to you on top of your actual earnings to be able to complete the guaranteed payment, this becomes reflected on your account as an "advance" to your actual earnings, hence the negative balance.

Don't worry, you do not owe anything and this will not affect your unpaid earnings nor your next payment. This is more of a "recording" error. This has already been reported to our backend billing team and they are working on resolving this as soon as possible.

We appreciate your patience while we resolve this.

Off Topic / Re: The Prisoner
« on: January 25, 2018, 03:27 »
Not according to the Supreme Court. In Bush v. Gore (2000), the Court ruled that [t]he individual citizen has no federal constitutional right to vote for electors for the President of the United States.

As a result, voting is not a right, but a privilege granted or withheld at the discretion of local and state governments.

In its 2000 ruling, Alexander v Mineta, the Court decided the 600,000 or so (mostly black) residents of Washington D.C. have no legal recourse for their complete lack of voting representation in Congress The Court affirmed the district courts interpretation that our Constitution does not protect the right of all citizens to vote, but rather the right of all qualified citizens to vote. And its state legislatures that wield the power to decide who is qualified.

Not to mention that in many states you loose, for the rest of your life, the right to vote if convicted of a felony. Its just another method to replace the Jim Crow Laws after the Civil Rights Act.  It has been proven that Black Americans receive harder penalties then whites.

Americans don't have a Right to vote in Elections, unlike most countries.

General Stock Discussion / Re: Net Neutrality

The real victim of this trend is Free Speech.  If Neutrality is ended then the large companies can control what is available on the internet.  Controlling knowledge/speech is a fascist pursuit.

I requested a payment in October, before the announcement, and received it two months later.

Statements delayed

Dear contributor, Wed like to inform you about a technical system issue that will affect the timeline of the January 2017 royalty statements. Royalty statements will be delayed by a day or two due to a temporary technical problem. We are working to address this technical issue as quickly as possible. We will update this message once all statements are available and we apologize for any inconvenience caused by this issue. Please note: This issue impacts the January 2017 royalty statements only. Payments are not impacted and will arrive according to our normal schedule. Thank you, Getty Images Contributor Services

Technical issues... Again haha.  I didn't get any email about this and my earnings tabel is still blank...

My sales collapsed in February, a complete collapse.
What exactly happened at the end of winter I have no idea . . . . .  but something definitely changed.

When did Adobe take over management of the Fotolia collection?

In fact there is plenty wealth for everyone in the west to live happy/fulfilling lives if . . .  the corporate class pays its fair share of taxes and forgoes subsidies that come from  the people's pockets. If the privilege class pays its fair share of taxes instead of changing tax laws and hording wealth overseas.  The time honored tradition of demagogues blaming those other people for a nations problems continues in Europe and America.  Trump's says we could Make America Great Again if it wasn't for the Chinese, Mexicans, Europeans treating us badly . . .   Great Britain says if it wasn't for the EU Britain could be Great again.  Always blame someone else for your dysfunction. It seems some of today's leaders have taken a course from Germany's most famous demagogue who blamed the Treaty of Versailles and Jewish Bankers for Germany's dysfunction after World War One.

And of course, De- Industrialization through globalization doesn't help:

You really should construct a new poll asking only members with a monthly income of, let's say $400, to see how the more serious members are doing . . .  that would eliminate small time players like myself and be more enlightening.

You have to understand that the members of this forum are very diverse.  I am a good example for someone whose IS earnings have not dropped. I am an artist (painter)  who only submitted photos to the agencies to add to my very small income . . .  it helps buy paint, not support a photo studio and family. My images are not traditional stock photography, they don't sell very often but on the other hand they are not in competition with traditional Stock Photos and they don't age.  I haven't added work to the sites for a couple of years but the ones I have continue to sell.
