I got a Healthy 17 year old daughter this year. My daughter had been sick for almost 3 years and was in and out of hospitals and had taken a trip to the Mayo Clinic. She has completely recovered and our family celebrated an awesome Christmas together.
..... but I did get me a couple small items this year before Christmas that I consider my presents. New Tripod, L-Bracket, and Macro Focus rail.

Oh - whoops. I misread the thread. I thought it was the best thing you EVER got for Christmas. I didn't mean to be vague. This was my daughter who is over 20 and now in college. Liz, you're right, I only have the one.

Very interesting map of the "Most Photographed Places". I don't know the source but it does tell me I have a big problem living in central Europe. more info: "The http://www.sightsmap.com/ website is an interactive map that allows you to see which areas of the world have had the most photographs taken -- in other words, every place you should avoid if you wish to take a unique photograph. Europe is remarkably popular. North Pole not so much. The heatmaps are based solely on the number of available Panoramio photos for an area: both the number of photos and the number of authors is taken into account. The dark and the blue areas have a few photos, the red areas have more and the yellow areas have a large number of photos geotagged." and like all Google Maps, you scale down to the street level

I've with them one year with zero in my bucket. My idea was to give them 2 years to prove themselves, so one year to go. I only have ~300 images up, maybe that's the problem. From the quality that I see that sells, it seems like its a place where Uncle Eddy buys from a family member.

To the best of my knowledge (and based on the cities involved in purchases to date) none of my sales at FAA has been to family or friends.
I took a quick look at the first several pages of your portfolio and I think you haven't tailored what you've uploaded to the likely market - things people hang on their walls. The food shots have potential for restaurants or stores, but the colors are very flat. Food pictures don't sell, IMO, unless things look fresh and appetizing. For the landscapes, the places aren't landmarks and the images are not the sort where you go "oooh" even if you haven't a clue where it is.
I'm not sure that there is anything "wrong" about any sort of uploads, but you just sell fewer and more slowly if you don't appeal to to a wide audience.

I see, perhaps I am quite tired of my DX (D90) and the terrible quality at higher ISO so I want desperately a FX, might look into a D7100 before jumping into a D800, for now will continue dreaming 
thanks for sharing your experience!
Luis I jumped from the D80 to the D7100 in August and am loving the difference. There was a big jump concerning Noise between the D80 and D90 so you wouldn't be as impressed as I was, but certainly the D7100 is an improvement over that D90 of yours. With 24mp it allows a lot of cropping possibilities for the MS market.
