Possibly iS didn't update yet? If you go to his portfolio on iS then check the "exclusive" box, it says there are no images
Wow, so it does. So 'even' Yuri (apparently) can't negotate an image-exclusive deal! Or maybe he didn't want to.

Meanwhile, the third Mrs Trump is releasing her latest batch of NFTs. "Trump will be releasing a new collection on February 21, Presidents' Day. She is promoting the "POTUS NFT Collection" as a trove of 10,000 separate NFTs, each priced at $50.
According to a statement released by Trump on Thursday, the collection will highlight "iconic moments" from the Trump administration's four-year run. It will feature 10 digital artworks capturing events ranging from Christmas at the White House to the Trumps' visit to Mount Rushmore in 2020.
The works will not be viewable by buyers until a purchase is made using the Solana cryptocurrency. "Collectors will enjoy an element of surprise, as the artwork of each NFT is revealed only after purchase," the statement read. "Of course, collectors can make multiple purchases to own the entire POTUS Trump Collection."https://www.businessinsider.com/melania-trump-launch-nft-collection-iconic-moments-from-trump-presidency-2022-2?r=US&IR=TI have many thoughts on this, but I'm best to keep them to myself.

He may well 1 have come to a special arrangement with Getty, e.g. by threatening to pull his content. He was already selling RF via his own website, which lesser mortals aren't allowed to do. https://peopleimages.comAlthough he seems to have proudly embraced the "race to the bottom". "6 Things we are proud of! 1. Best Prices Anywhere When buying images, you want to make sure you do so at a site that charges industry level prices, with no overpricing. We know we've got the best prices, highest sign-up bonuses and the greatest bulk discounts, but of course we'd say that. So as a guarantee, if you find our images cheaper anywhere else, we will immediately match the price."1I have no idea.

Meanwhile, having risked my camera in stormy conditions, I sold a Live News photo and netted 68c.
I suspect that I can now also take nice storm pictures at the beach (a few kilometers away). But I'll stay home anyway. In England it is now code red. In two hours it will really start storming here (also code red).
All the best for the storm Thijs. We are in a code red area near the south coast. At it's peak now, hopefully.. I won't be leaving the house to take photos. Too dangerous. Not as bad as 1987's Great Storm (so far) 🤞
Good to hear that it's not that bad Debbie. We are somewhat used to the coast. But this is going to be one of the heavier storms. And that in the winter. More like a spring or autumn storm.
I think I spoke too soon. We live in a 1930's house with the original roof. Some of the huge tile thingies (not sure what they are called) that hold the roof tiles in place have blown off and smashed through our neighbour's car.
Bit concerned now about the security of the roof, especially as we have very tall old chimneys.
Peaking at gusts of 122 miles an hour here.
Really sorry to hear that. Keep yourself safe, at least.

I was checking on DM and uploads and by accident found the updates Dec 2021 royalties are posted.
I can afford a 24 pack of diet Coke on this months Gross earnings. (and they are gross)
RPD .66
Thanks for the info, but I think you meant Jan 22. Wasn't expecting report until Friday. My Jan total is c30% better than last year (which was very poor) , and 'just' below Jan '20. rpd (exclusive) $1.85.
Yes, January Licenses 2022. I'll go fix that.
I can see the downloads for January, Pete. But where can you see your income for January 2022?
I'm not Pete, but I see mine by clicking on Royalties.

I have asked Alamy to delete my account. According to their own statement, they need 45 days for this. I don't know why it takes so long.
It's in the contract/agreement we signed up to. And apparently your pics can be sold for quite some time after that (but you'll still get paid, FWIW).

That's a lot more sales, but even less money than I made. In that case I've no idea why you've not had sales this year. Might have been an algorithm reshuffle, but I haven't noticed any mention of it ... I'm 0 sale since 2022 until now why?
It's a quite different market from the micros, in general. Were you selling well before six weeks ago?
Summary for 01 December 2021 to 01 January 2022 ( 28 item(s) totalling $7.35 )

How is it that apart from a few people who seem to be intent on pushing crypto stuff on various newsgroups I'm on, just about* everything I read about crypto is criminal? And why does that not surprise me? https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-60369879*But not quite. The world's largest Black Diamond was bought last week from Sotheby's, which is a famous and long-established UK auctioneer, by 'cryptocurrency' (unspecified) https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-60328375

15% is, was, and will be a greedy insult.
Money won't buy happiness, but it will let you be unhappy in nice places.
Haven't heard that before. Good one!

Distributor sales and discounting for bulk-buyers is unfortunate and has changed Alamy into a gutter microstock agency but I had a 5-year RM sale today for $0.50 for personal use. Surely, by definition, a personal use (advertised as 9.99) cannot be to a bulk buyer entitled to a huge discount?
There's talk about that on Alamy's forum. Seems that it's a special education deal. As in many countries, most educational uses are 'Fair use', maybe 50c is better than nothing (?) The problem, as always is knowing that it really was an educational use, but we could say that about any sale from any agency.

Some of these low sales are subscriptions ("750 Bilder per Monat"). It would mean 0.2 x 750 = 150$ per month for 750 downloads. Did Alamy offer subscriptions before?
Not as such, but they had bulk deals to UK newspapers, and some experimental bulk deals to some Eastern European distributors two or three years back. I don't know if the latter were intro deals, or if they weren't renewed, but I had a few at the time, but none since.

^^ Oh absolutely, I'm very much on the over-cautious side. I got an email from Alamy over the w/e asking me to release a particular image for a particular usage. The risk was very minimal, but not zero; so I said I'd release if I personally got an assurance from the buyer that they would accept any liability which might arise. I got the assurance ths morning and it sold at $39 net, which is more than I've netted there for a while.

It's a funny thing altogether. Say for example a model was using a recogniseable iPad in a general context in an advert for a different product. That's product placement, and arguably Apple should be willing to pay for it. Yet they can legally object.
However, an editorial use of a photo of an iPad or someone using it could be used to illustrate an article condemning Apple or iPads, and that's perfectly fine.

I get a message that I can't opt out of the novel use until april. I don't recall opting into it. It says I opted in in 2017. Why do I have to wait until April 2022 to opt out?
That's always been the rule. It's their ball, they set the rules.

I'm not sure that fair and Getty belong in the same sentence any more than Truth and either Trump or Boris.
Wait but you just used all five in the same sentence? iStock in the early years, did a wonderful job of marketing to artists. Lipses, (whatever those meeting were called?) how much we care about you, all the colorful frosting slathered on a fake cardboard cake. Indeed, that was when Bruce owned it, though some of it carried forward for a while after Getty bought it. I didn't even know about iS in those days, I joined after Getty. I did go to the iScotalypse, though. Then once things got strong and they had enough images, they started the rug pull. Switching levels, putting work into cheaper collections, creating sites like Thinkstock from all the smaller agencies they owned and included our work. That was Getty. Looks like the old Getty staff have moved over to PA/Alamy; or maybe they're conducting seminars for their rivals on how to shaft contributors. I could never get my head around why anyone would sign a model release; with this new one, my head is exploding with incredulity.

First, check if you got an email confirming they'd paid you, and double-check by looking at the account into which the money should go.
Good point. I never received an email saying payment was made. I started a support ticket, but the system said I can't start a missing payment from the 25th until the the first of the following month.
It's not like you might have bills to pay.
