What are you doing is a form of piracy . Hope this thread get closed soon!
Oh really? I don't know this can be piracy.
These are free reports, I thought Getty and Corbis are using them to attract photographers and buyers, so I'm helping them actually.
Can anybody else comment on this? If it's piracy, I'll delete them ASAP.
It is still not you property or do you have the allowance from Getty and Corbis to put it on a file-sharing site. If it's free just use the right links from Getty and Corbis!
I accept what you said and removed both links. The Getty one may be easy to find now, the Corbis one I can't locate it on their website.

share some free reports I downloaded from GettyImages and Corbis
I found the information is useful only for those who are able to shoot them, difficult for me to do it now.
Reports from Corbis (links removed)
Report from GettyImages (GettyImages says this report worth $400 (links removed)

Alamy pays contributors better than other agencies, that's the No.1 reason we should support Alamy.
the No.2 reason is, via Alamy, you can sell your micro images in macro sites.
I was rejected to be a constributor of Inmagine months ago, they said they do not accept micro images.
And I happen to chat with an Inmagine customer service girl, who showed me a few their recent sales, I believe a lot of photographers can shoot that kind of photo, it's just a man's portrait, the price is over USD100.
So I came up with the concept: a lot of micro contributors are good in technique, but just don't know how to get into macro world to earn big dollar.
Until yesterday, I happen to found there are a lot of Alamy images in Inmagine.
So you know the idea now: you can have your micro images both in micro and macro, just via Alamy.
And I even found panthermedia images in agestockphoto...

^^^ There are certainly other industries with two leading companies. How about PC CPUs? Or PC GPUs?
yes, intel and AMD, but they are in high tech industry. gather a lot of creative images could be much harder than high tech

alamy?
I heard that Alamy is smaller than iStock in terms of revenue.
So what? I'm very sure that the number three macro-site is smaller in revenue than iStock, I'm just not sure what the number three macro-site is, maybe AGE. Anyway there is a huge gap between Getty and Corbis and the number three.
OK, then there's no No.3, it's interesting. In micro world, at least there are big4 and middle tier, but in macro world, it is difficult even to find No.3. What a industry! Is there another industry like this which can not identify No.3?

In terms of the poll on right side of this forum, microstock ranks are:
No.1 -- ShutterStock No.2 -- iStockPhoto No.3 -- Dreamstime
Alghough I believe iStock is the No.1 in terms of revenue.
But my question is, what is the No.3 MacroStock site:
No.1 -- GettyImages (no doubt) No.2 -- Corbis No.3 -- Inmagine?
Anybody know the answer?

In Alamy, there are 3 options, RF, L and L protected, so my understanding is if you choose L, then you can upload the same photo to other agency as a RM as well, is it right?
And one more question, can I remove all logos of a RM photo to Alamy again as a RF photo?

Dear Sir / Madam, I am a hobbyist and have a blog in Chinese language to introduce everything interesting/useful to photographers here. My blog URL is http://WalkLens.blogbus.com/The page rank of my blog is about 4, so sometimes my blog is in front pages with certain keywords in search engine. I did introduce some agencies or services, for example, about 500 users registered DT via my referral link (but they refuse to grant their $5 bonus ). And I did some interviews with some successful photographers, the one with Jonathan will be translated and the one with Shannon is coming next. (Thank you Shannon, thank you Jonathan!) As the Chinese New Year (Spring Festival) holiday is coming, we'll have a public holiday for a whole week, I'm thinking if there is anybody interested in introducing something new to Chinese? If so, please email me at [email protected]Best wishes, William

Here's my experience at ViscoImage for your reference:
I read RCerruti's thread and registered as his referral.
I uploaded about 15 photos exclusively to ViscoI as my first batch and they approved 10 and grant 0.25 each to my account.
I inform them about the exclusivity and then they give me 50.
I upload another batch and got 10 more approved online.
They grant 0.25 each again.
I informed them again.
This time, the answer is like "The acceptable ones have been approved as NON EXCLUSIVE. We absolutely do not need low quality images no mater exclusive or not."
My argument is, if you need high quality images and my photos are low quality, why approve them. if you approved them, why you say they are low quality? you need to keep your words and follow the rules you already set up.
So I protested strongly, I sent emails with words like "You should honor your words, Shame on you! Where is your logic? You manipulated options without contributor's consent, where is your integrity?"
And then, my account was deleted at Visco with the reason "The reason of termination is: Incorrect behavior!"
That's all.
This is my experience there for your reference, thank you for reading.
