NO! But, if they did that before I added other sites to my name. i would have gone exclusive with them. too late now.  ;D

Stop making me smile so hard - my head's about to crack open.

It's really nice to see familiar faces. And thanks for the warm welcome everyone...

They say Om Tat Sat here. I have no idea what it means, but it's nice and it sounds right.

Lucy x

Om Tat Sat sounds like Sankrit mantra for purification. Much like the arabic greeting Essalam,  Mashallah, etc.. which praises The Almighty. Or the latinos "Vaya Bien", "Que Dios Acompane",etc.. it's a profound way to greet / take leave of each other.

You don't need to have the account to read the forum, just to post in the forum. They have guidelines on how to post pictures in the forum. I wouldn't advise to post links from picture from another stock agency.

I guess not (not good idea to post links to my DT account, for example), but I will check out the SS forum like you advised, and get some direct inputs. Thx goldenangel !

Dreamstime.com / Re: Accidental Approval??
« on: May 29, 2009, 10:41 »
Ah yes, that's disappointing, but it happens. I had certain times submitting variations of an image eg. 2 shots of a historic ruin but one is warm tone and the other was a cooler tone. One reviewer got it at the same time as the other, and both rejected it as "please submit only one image" or something like that.
I guess the only thing to do is to resubmit it later down the road. The only bad thing is you get hit on your approval average.

Of all the microstock sites I submit to, BigStock has been the most consistent from day 1. They aren't my best earning site each month, but they offer a good amount of consistent sales.

I also like the fact that there isn't a lot of drama there. No best match shakeups, rude admins, etc. They are just a consistently good agency, month after month.

Agree on that. BigStock is slow moving like a snail, but yes, Supports Liz and Joseph are always responsive. Sales could be better, though... but sometimes I feel BigStock aren't doing enough to get to #1. Not sure if it
s because they don't want to or they can't.

The key is to try to post your images on their forum, in the critiques section. I have done this in several iterations, and finally, had a very good idea what images to submit. It took several weeks for the whole process, mostly because I din't have enough good images for application at the time. However, once I collected images that were approved in the forum, I was accepted from the first try.

Good luck!

Do you need to have a SS account to read the forum? And can I ask them just to go to my DT port instead of posting the images on their forum?

On a sidenote, I made more at IS since my last payout (April) than I ever made at FP, with 1/3 of my port. Sure, a few sales are 0.19$ at IS but they are xtra small size and probably just used for a sidebar. Nothing wrong with that. I just don't feel that I can justify for myself selling full sizes at FP for 0.35$ when those same shots are on Zymmetrical for 20$. You could mention SS but I don't upload full size to SS. Also, I have my doubts about customers that need 9150 full-size pictures per year. That's pure leeching or stockpiling.
Actually it was from one of such similar comments a while back that made me decide to do the same ie. upload only smaller sizes to sub sites. Except for some sites you really have no choice but 3MP min Dreamstime and 4MP min for Fotolia. Although I really don't mind with either of them , especially Fotolia as I have been getting +1$ for most of my downloads, and most recently 6$.

As for FP, I thought they were cool but after nothing happened, I sort of forgot about them. Unlike ScanStock which is supposed to be smaller than FP which I have in the same time as FP,Zymm,etc...
made 3Euro, which is not much I know, but is still more than zero(FP), zero(zymm), zero(MostPhoto lol)

Dreamstime.com / Re: Anyone exclusive on DT?
« on: May 29, 2009, 08:33 »
wow, were you reading my mind? I'm also wondering about this. I just started to make some of my editorials exclusives. And over the month of June, I like to clean out those images that are selling with Dreamstime from other sites so I could make them exclusive images.
As for being Exclusive Contributor, I don't think I have enough in my port to make a diff, but it sure would make life easier not having to submit to non performing sites.

Are you referring to it not being there in your edit box? If so, they don't show up till much later.

For me it's going down across agencies not only StockXpert.
I think it's just that we are getting so close to the summer vacation period. That could have explained why February was my best month ever, and then it's deadsville again. Oh well, looking towards Sept.

Mine mine, look who's the man of the hour. Just checked out Dreamstime to find my editiorials being accepted but even more surprised to see your name as headlines. Old warrior, that is so cool to see you back here. I am so jealous you're in the spotlight, avava . Jolly good show !

I just had 2 pix rejected for "visible dirt".   ::) That's a new for me.
Now that's a new one. My problem has been not getting my uploads reviewed. I quit for a bit, but tried again, a few week  ago before I left for wilderness camping. I came back this afternoon and see it's still unreviewed. Also the sales are down, after having my best month February. Are any of you getting improved sales this month at all?
