Sells Yesterday were good up until about 17:00 CET than downloads drop to almost nothing. Same as Sean sells look to be off about 70%.

I wish I could go. I was Stationed in Berlin when the wall came down. I would love to see how the city looks now. Hit the Ku' and go hang in the Old Irish Pub in Europa Center.

My old work site is pretty tore up now. Teufelsberg, the old US Army Intel Site. I even think they turned the Barracks I was in into a motel or something. Would be cool to get my old room back...lol.

Irish Pub is still there and still rocking!

Looks like the key to that statement is "before the week of July 4th. ". I would say you have at less three more days before you see an update.

There's some "EdStock" coming through now: http://www.istockphoto.com/search/editorial

interesting, some of them have the blue Agency icon.  what's up with that?  does that mean some editorial has a different price point than others?

From admin:

"The blue icon is inaccurate and will be looked at, simple as that, no conspiracy."

iStockPhoto.com / Re: Istock Views Poll
« on: June 04, 2011, 11:39 »
I think what your seeing is total views on files uploaded in that year. Not total views on the total number of files you have online. Just looked at my total downloads for this year and DM only shows the downloads for the images that were uploaded this year!

Good for Cindy Sherman. I hope she gets 7.8 mil for the next print.

If you're using CS5 or Lightroom DM will read the keyword data. If your having a problem you may wish to ask this question over here.

Some people will tell you its about the Camera other will say its about the image. I've stuck with one rule for over 20 years, buy what you can afford then learn how to use it.

I have a workshop one day $200,000 any takers? If it works for Jesh it might work for me.

I S T O C K   B A Dddddddd  R E S T  O F  T H E  W O R L D  G O O Dddddddddd.... is that better?  ;D I love this place you guys are so nutty!

So not a glimpse into your thoughts about the hefty drop in commission your loyalty to Istock just bought you then? You really have swallowed it hook, line & sinker haven't you?
Here's a glimpse, the big hefty drop has turned out to be a drop of about 2% because of Vetta/Agency sells. I'll be the first to say it's still much to early to predicted how the rest of the year's income will turn out but, I think with VeTTa/Agency images placed on Getty I should see an increase of 10% - 15% over last year. If that doesn't workout I'll drop them in a hot minute, I'm not marry or in love with them,iStock is just a company I do business with.

I get why non-exclusive are pissed, you guys got the shortest and crappy end of the stick. I feel your pain, but threads like this and some others don't really help. On the site is a thread titled "How to divert traffics away from istock and fotolia" I disagree with the thread but have not posted because I think the thread has good helpful info for non-exclusives. Not like threads like "Buyers bailing on istock", "F5 epic fail"..... on and on. these threads may have started out with good info and facts, but have now turned to into name calling nonsense.

I've said this before I don't care if your exclusive or non-exclusive you need to do what's profitable for your business. I fail to see how any of these emotional I hate iStock threads help to reach that goal.

Facts! We don't need no stinking facts! Mob mentality is the rule of the day here on MSG.  ;D

I S T O C K   B A Dddddddd  R E S T  O F  T H E  W O R L D  G O O Dddddddddd.... is that better?  ;D I love this place you guys are so nutty!

Thomas, if I didn't know you from years on the Istock forums, and was only going by your posts here at MSG, I would swear you were nothing but a troll.

Don't you have anything constructive to add to any of the conversations here?  Or are you just here to insult the regulars and anyone you disagree with ???

I think we all get it by now.  You love Istock unconditionally and are angry and insulting toward anyone who doesn't feel the same way.  Why bother hanging around here if we are such downers?  The Istock forums are available to you and are blessedly free (thanks to numerous bannings) of most of the angriest complainers.

Why not let people who have been silenced at Istock blow off steam here without you poking sticks at them like some playground bully?  You are just rubbing salt in the wounds.  Surely there is some more productive way for you to get your jollies?
Lisa are you kidding me, have you been reading this thread. Istock is trying to take away our freedom of speech! As has been pointed out before in this thread iStock is a private company they get to decide whats posted in the forum on istock. Not you, not me, those are the facts. Now does that make me a Troll or a realest? Oh I guess on this site it means I'm a Troll

No worries Lisa I still love Ya!

To me these are nothing special, especially when I see the awesome work of some of the food microstockers.  Nothing against her work just that there is much better work out there.  Something like this is more what I consider very good.

Nice image, but done in a 1960s style. As other have stated her images are the trend in food photography now.

I work for an ad agency in the LA area and I must say, the iStock content is by far superior from other microstock sites. We actually save money using iStock because the quality is right up there with macro sites. Dreamstimes, Fotolia, Canstockphoto, etc seem to accept any low quality photos. Its seems their inspectors need to raise the bar. Time is money, and finding a high quality photo is the key.

As a supplier I don't find much difference between the acceptance/rejection rate on any of the leading sites. Sometimes one rejects what another accepts, but that can be iS accepting what DT, Fotolia or SS reject.

One of the bizarre effects of iS policy is that image price depends on supplier status not image quality. That means you can have two near identical images, one listed as "vetta" and another in the non-exclusive price range.

I can care less about the acceptance rate. Our agency just cares about quality. Companies are willing to spend the money for the right photo.
Let me show you some examples of some garbage:

http://www.dreamstime.com/royalty-free-stock-photos-what-s-the-problem--image10178178
I just searched with the keywords, "laptop, man". Now tell me, if you cant tell the difference between istock and the other agencies than you don't have an eye for design. If I were a student or a freelancer with a low budget, then I would consider using canstock, dreamstime, shutterstocketc.

Don't know many student or freelancer designer willing to go on the hook for 199,00 EUR per month for a Shutterstock Subscribe, but I guess they could paid the on demand cost of 39,00 EUR for 5 images.

Yep! content looks better, and guess what 33 out of the first 200 images are from non-exclusives.

What's bizarre? Yes Exclusive/Non-Exclusive main collection images are cheaper then Vetta/Agency images. Yes I know you non-exclusive have great images too! But how could istock sell them for 30-200 credits if you have the same images for sell on Shutterstock for $.56? .
