I want to have a second symbiostock site and I use Blue host / Justhost.
I have created a addon domain there and I understand I have to reinstall wordpress?
I have started to do that but after having chossen to inmstal wordpress on the new domain (addon) I got the meaasge"Directory exists! I understand that continuing will overwrite files."
I wonder what I do wrong. Isnt possible to have two domain names under a single hosting account?

something strange happening when seaching for "Maldives" at my site http://stockabily.com/ nothing is shown, but I have one image with the keyword included: http://stockabily.com/image/maldives-islands-2/When I search "Maldivian" the picture is found, very strange ....or is there someting wrong in my keywording? Also you will be able to "test" picturengine.com soon, since I'm giving the theme ability to interact with their site at your control (its an optional feature).
Before anyone slaps me, I'm aware of people's opinions. I'm rather hoping a few people can "give it a go" for a year and give us a good assessment. You can count on me Leo. I do work as a photographer as my main job, and I do lots of facial retouching as part of it.... I do stock as a byproduct of what I shoot for clients, and then in downtimes I try to set up shoots specifically for stock. It doesn't return as much for me yet but I am addicted to it. I work every day either shooting or editing. I'm also professionally trained in both photography and photoshop.
Sean may not have the time, nor be willing to share any of his retouching skills, and I wanted to offer some help to the OP by saying retouching faces/bodies doesn't have to take that much time. And I did that with a demonstration of what that meant. One of the more helpful things our teacher did for us was to set up a 5min timer and force us to edit fast.
I can (and do) have plenty of life skills outside of this forum group. I also don't hide my work and endeavour to post honestly and helpfully.

No, jeanclicclac I don't think you've overlooked something.
I'm used to tag as much as possible not to put hands a second time to things.
For example, in wordpress there are plugins to show on the home page sliders with images.
You can choose to show only images of one category or all categories if you set.
If you visit the site in my firm, you can see that something like all category in my shop is the digital download. In the future, in the megamen under the shop i can put another cathegory named print (at the same level of digital downloads and extended license) where I can put the image avaiable only for print.
And so on, in the future I can create other root category in example for vector footage etc. This allow more order and coherence to the theme.
Note the frame below that without the parent category print and footage are less understandable.
So it's only a choice nothing to do, but is something that I do with in mind future develop.
Hope that is clear what I wrote....
Thanks for your explanations Alberto, it is still a bit confusing to me; but I have to think more about it! One question is how to get more picture on a single page; just now it is 24; so when I have more than 24 in a category or in a search an need to click on next page to see the results. When having more than 100 this is not very adapted. Is there a way to set the number of pictures shown on a page?

Jeanclicclac I don't know if you want that, but maybe you can create a category named i.e. "all images" to browse your portfolio only by determined category.
The archive page show the first standard post of worpress delete it!

I have been thinking for a while for my links for http://stockabily.com/I have presently about 1250 pictures on line and 'm targeting 8000 or 10000 for the end of the year I have for the time already two links for my network http://cathyslifestockphotos.com/http://stereoshutter.comI read that the network will be extended from 5 to 10 which is a good idea. Which made me think it was soon time to extend and complete my slots! For my networking I like to find more IF POSSIBLE with the following features: 1) Aiming at a size of 3000/ 4000 or more at the end of the year 2) Fair keyword & description of the pictures. I know that this is not my strong point, but I'm making a lot of efforts for my site that I have never made for MS (bulk keywording with collateral mistakes....). 3) Complementary or similar? well I still dont know; so I'm still opne on this point. 4) I think it is clear to everybody that network links are not for ever; we shall be able to experiment with new ones in the light of the results given. Also I want to find somebody (from my network or not) who will be interested in mutual sparing partnership in the comming weeks. Me testing his site, he/she testing mine. We should both accept that we have other activities beside this....so no stress.... Jean

Other than that I am only stating when I don't have one and that the picture is editorial. I would not pass on an actual signed model release due to its containing personal details, to a client unless there was an exceptionally good reason such as a court order
I fully agree with Tinny's approach. To me the best would be: --> by default : I have MR or property release (for picture where it is relevant) --> if not it is specified that pictures are for editioral purpose only It would be wonderful if we could bulk mark pictures as "editorial only" if this is possible! jean

I have read sometimes ago that renaming files is important in symbiostock and in general. I cant find the thread anymore. Can someone confirm this?
Also how to write sentences as names: Is it better to names files as "cat on a roof.jpg" or is it better to use "cat_on_a_roof.jpg"

yes I can see that, on the other hand, there is also a situation possible where nobody is linking to one of the SY site. What is the reason for limiting the number of links to 5?
I was thinking that a buyer would probably need a site with a minimum critical number of pictures. Even with 5 sites having each 5000 pictures this is "only" 25000 pictures. Probably not enough to cover all general themes needed by buyers unless having a kind of niche with a specific theme common to the 5 and make the sites known for covering the given theme.

Quite interesting list! I have now more that 700 pictures online growing fastly (this can be updated on the list). A bulk editing would help to get the higher number even faster, but I also appreciate the one by one editing. To me it is now soon time to test the network features. I have included aleady for test http://stereoshutter.comand it seems it works fine For more I'm not sure if I need to look at similar or complementary. Also I'm not really sure about what is the right behaviour with network. Shall we includes the sites from those having our own. This may be impossible. How to know who is linking to ones own? Can we remove a link at any time, or shall a change be subject to an agreement? It is not clear to me what would be an acceptable behaviour here.
