Adobe Stock / Model Release
« on: October 25, 2007, 12:36 »
I don't have any shots on Fotolia...yet.

I was wondering, if they require a Fotolia specific model release or could I use one from another site.

I have quite a few shots that have iStock and/or SS or DT releases. I would like to submit these to Fotolia as well.

I am not always able to get back to a model that I have shot in order to obtail a new relaease.

So, what say ye, am I up a creek or or no?

Thanks,

Joe

iStockPhoto.com / Have the inspectors become more strict?
« on: October 15, 2007, 22:07 »
Ever since the big 'melt down' at iStock I have been having more rejections that accepted files.
Without exception the rejections have been for 'over filtered' files.

The strange thing is, I have not changed my editing technique at all, and all my previous files were accepted without a problem.
if anything, I think I have backed off a bit on my skin smoothing techniques, though they never were over the top as many shots that I see in 'People" magazine, etc are. I actually dislike that look a lot.

So, anyone have the same feeling that I do about the inspections? Tougher or no?

Dreamstime.com / How long til your first download?
« on: October 14, 2007, 11:14 »
Hi all,

I have been on Dreamstime since late April and have 75 images online there. I have yet to get a single download, even though most of these same shots are on Shutterstock and istock.

Most have sold at least once on Shutterstock. iStock is much slower for me, but still not as bad as Dreamstime.

Just want to get a feel for the site. Maybe I need a different mix or is blogging necessary to get noticed there?

Thanks
