In the land of the blind the one-eyed man is king.

In the land of the one eye, the one-and-half-eyed man is king.

Yaymicro / Re: Who has had sales at YayMicro ?
« on: February 27, 2010, 02:45 »
I get a payout every 3 months from them, they are doing some things right.  It is so effortless to upload, I will stick with them.  If we all just stuck with the big 6, they would be the only sites left.  It looks like 2 of the big 6 are being gobbled up after takeovers, so that leaves 4.  How many decent sites would we end up with?

I am happy with my regular payouts from YayMicro.

I guess maybe the more people stick with the big 6 and stay away from contributing to new sites such as YayMicro the less competition there is for smaller players like us.

 :)

It has been my strategy to concentrate contributing to new sites/low earners as they are not so competitive and their collections are not large.

My photos will at least have a chance to be seen by buyers instead being buried under thousands of other similar photos in the established sites.

So far it has worked well for me and I have made enough to keep contributing to them.

123RF / Re: Upload problem?

Still having this problem. Just made 5 attempts in a row, all failed.

This is the only site I have problems with of the 10 that I submit to.

???

Same here.

Let's concentrate on sites that work and bring in the $.

Same old upload problem with 123RoyaltyFree.com since last month.

In the meanwhile don't waste time struggling with uploading to it.

Dreamstime.com / More than usual rejections from Dreamtime

Do you as a regular DT contributor have noticed that lately you experience sudden spikes of more than usual rejections there?

The usual reason will be:  Too many photos/illustrations on the same subject or from the same series.

In your workspace on your  VEER account there were you must submit you could click on FTP help and you will see this info.......

.......Server Type
FTP over explicit TLS/SSL

Thanks. I've read that.

But I don't know what's "FTP over explicit TLS/SSL". Maybe I have to google it.

I'm a photographer but not an IT brain. But I have no problem in uploading with filezilla to five other site which I have uploaded more than 6,000 images to each one of them without a glitch.

Change protocol type in settings to: Auth-SSL-Explicit or something like that.

Thats what their FTP info says

Thanks. How do I do that?

Could you supply me the link? I haven't seen such information in Veer site.

Veer / Problem with FTB to Veer?
« on: June 11, 2009, 07:23 »
Anyone encounters problems FTB uploading using Filezilla to Veer?

I couldn't connect to their server. The error is "534 Policy requires SSL".

I have emailed Veer twice with no reply in the last few days. Also a few months ago I emailed both SnapVillage and Veer about a DVD submission. Same no reply!
